For a while now, I've been having sinus pain accompained with feelings of dizziness, painful headaches, & ear pain (especially in the mornings). I had my ears cleaned at the Health Center at my college & was told I had a sinus infection and took a round of Amoxicillin. A few weeks before I went to the doctor, I got ringworm on my upper thigh/bikini area from my new kitten who had, and still has, ringworm & likes to sleep under the covers by my stomach/upper leg area.
In the United States, almost every strain of aurous is now resistant to the antibiotics oxacillin, penicillin and amoxicillin, and strains of the disease have begun developing resistance to newer drugs like methicillin and vancomycin. The threat of prolonged illness or death from this infection has increased as it has become more resistant and fewer drugs are able to effectively control or eliminate it.
The last time I got a fever / diarrhea, it was accompanied by a sore throat and a slight feeling of heartburn. And is it a coincidence that I got ringworm now? Ive never experienced ringworm my whole life! Am I being a hypochondriac? Should I re-do my tests? Each time I talk to a Doctor, they tell me they think that it is not an STD. Advise needed. Thanks! Ringworm or my cat, Abby, scratching him when playing with him. If Dillan has ringworm they might report that and take him away from me. Ringworm is extremely contagious.

well since i thought they were infected hair folicles.. i took some amoxicillin to treat what i thought was an infection that i caught from her since well they were already iritated then i broke the skin by picking at them and allowed her bacterial vaginosis whatever bacteria that is to infect my hair folicles.. well i did notice they got less iritated and started to get a little better..

but last night noticed patches on neck, shoulder and back - primarily red but a bit duskier in the middle
This morning have 6-8 spots on back and 2-3 on each leg
Thought may be ringworm and have been treating the upper thigh for passed 3 days - doesn't seem to have stopped it from growing and they seem to grow too large too fast
no fever or other symptoms other than fatigue
any thoughts - I can't make it to a dr until Thursday and a

Almost 36 hours after the exposure I noticed a small 2 cm ovoid non-itchy rash above my foot. It looked somewhat like a ringworm. I'm in a committed relationship, so out of guilt and fear I started searching the net for HIV SYMPTOMS and found a RASH to be one of the main ARS symptoms. That was it...the fear and anxiety set in. I started freaking out. There were no other symptoms at this time.
However, I have had occasional circular spots on my skin since I was a kid and the doctor always treated them as ringworm. When I was a teenager, I broke out in millions of the spots all over my body and after seeing multiple doctors, they finally decieded it was psoriasis. The breakout cleared up mostly and was back to the 2-3 spots per year until last year. I developed tonsillitis, in the summer, I was sure it was strept because it was sooo painful.
You may have contracted roundworm (the parasite that produces both trichinosis and ascariasis), ringworm (the parasite responsible for tinea capitis) or plasmodium (the parasite that causes malaria). Some of what your describing could be Ringworm.....Google pictures of Ringworm and see......This is contagious to humans, too. It's classic appearance is a spreading circle of hair loss w/ scaley skin at the center and a red ring on the outside.....If there's just a few areas involved, a topical antifungal (Miconazole, For athletes foot) is required on lesions....It takes 4-6wks. of treatment to get rid of it....Antifungal shampoos are used , also.

i also have psoriasis. i found some left over amoxicillin and took that to help fight off any infect that might have triggered it. thank god i just found some benadryl cream.
He'd rather do that than prescribe antibiotics but I'm desperate for relief of my hives condition and asked for an rx. He prescribed 1500 mg of amoxicillin (1 tab 3 times per day) and 750mg of metronidazole (1 tab 3 times per day) and I've been taking that since Thursday January 17th. He also recommended removing a crowded wisdom tooth, a tooth that might have associated infection or even an abscess.
