amoxicillin and kittens

I have 2 litters of kittens, 11 total and 8 of them are showing SERIOUS signs of upper respiratory infection. I called the vet she said this was definitely what they have. I have been giving them amoxicillin through their moms because they are too young to eat it through food. I cant afford to go to the vet and get the amoxicillin through them its about 10 times the price. Can someone please give me any advice? someone who maybe has dealt with this before? is there an eye drop I can buy?

my cats had kittens about 3 weeks ago and they now have their eyes open. but i have this one kitten and his/her eyes puss so much that it hardens and pervents him/her by seeing because it closes her eyes shut. i think he/she is too young to use medicine on but im not sure what to use even if i could. any advice??

s different is that I had a 10-day course of Amoxicillin for strep throat last week and the last dose of that was taken Saturday. Am I just having some sort of pre-cycle condition, or is my anxiety about being pregnant justified?

You can help aid this process by placing the kitten in a humidified room, and placing the kitten on amoxicillin antibiotics to help with a secondary upper respiratory bacterial infection. At this young age, the kitten cannot even use an expectorant. The good news is that she is breathing normally, so maybe the amount of aspirate was negligible, and she will not suffer any consequences. Good Luck!

He thinks this problem lies solely in her and her misbehavior and that she should be responsible enough to do as shes told and not rough house with the kittens and should be disciplined more strictly. I think that maybe 4 kittens is too many in a small area with a young child. I don't want this situation to turn into resentment for anyone especially my daughter dealing with a new girlfriend and a "new home" as well.

she said she has nursed them back to health, now they are healthy and cuite little kittens. she even is going to get the mother spayed. someone in the appartment complex said that the mom has had 5-6 litters. so my daughter is going to get her spayed then let her go again because she is not allowed pets where she lives, but what should she do with all the babies? They rescued more kittens last week. Have rescued over 40 cats and kittens (THRed the wild adults) and have a small network of fosters healing and socializing the kittens. If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono? Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage. I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst. Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?

Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. My doctor believes I have a sinus infection, hence the Amoxicillin prescription. I did not mention my unsafe sexual encounter to my doctor and I am not having any outward symptoms of any kind of STD. Hi, are you absolutely sure she's pregnant? Did a vet confirm it? I'm only asking because I've had cats my whole life and have never seen or heard of a cat being pregnant and in heat at the same time.

Of course, I immediately brought the remaining two kittens in and when they were 4 mo I took them and the mother and had them spayed. Well, that was 2 mo ago and they're still in the house. I am trying to get my daughter to take Amoxicillin for a throat infection. She won't swallow the capsule. Is it ok to break the pink and blue A45 Amoxicillin capsule in half and mix it in applesauce?

This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth. Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary. If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

One of the kittens had a hernia (from a dog attack), and the vet did surgery to fix it, and it seemed fine. The other two kittens in the litter picked on it; sucking it's genital area. It became so sore and red that it started bleeding; so I seperated it out. A day later I noticed diarrhea, then a day after that it was deficating pure blood. I figured it was an internal issue related to the trauma; so I had it put to sleep. But now, one of the other kittens is deficating blood.

However I recently had a sinus infection and took Amoxicillin for 7 days. Here it is, 2 weeks after stopping the Amoxicillin, I am having severe heartburn again. Did the antibiotic have anything to do with this?
