Hi, How old is your son? How long has he been diagnosed with hydronephrosis? Has he had any other kidney and bladder related symptoms, such as urinary tract infections? "Treatment depends on the severity and cause of the hydronephrosis. Children with mild hydronephrosis caused by mild obstructions may simply be monitored by renal ultrasound and VCUG and receive no treatment, as the problem is likely to correct itself.
I've suffered on and off for the last 10 years. 19 years ago I had kidney stones when I was pregnant. I've had scopes done and ct scans and everything shows normal. I had a cyst removed from my left ovarian 7 years ago and I had endometriosis removed off of the outside of my bladder 6 months ago! But the last 3 years I haven't been able to keep this infection away. My urine has been sent to the lab every time and comes back showing that it is infected!
My 15 month old sone has had 2 ear infections and the first time we gave him amoxicillin and nothing happened. Then just 2 weeks ago he had another ear infection so he got amoxicillin again and within six dasy of being on it he broke out in a rash that was all over his body and it looked like welts. So we took him to the emergency room just this past saturday and he said it was an allergic reaction to amoxicillin.
I too am prone to frequent yeast infections and UTI's for some reason. I don't know anything about the specfic drug that you're referring to, but I thought I'd share some things that have helped minimize them for me. I always seemed to get them every single time I had sex, I mean almost EVERY single time. (We are trying to have a baby, so those infections were pretty much constant!) I started showering and making my husband shower right before any intimacy.
1. Could the amount of amoxicillin and the time taken (1 hour before) have given me a false negative on any or all of the tests? 2. Shot was in my hip muscle, any idea what this was and what it covered? I don't believe it was penicillin g so I'm not sure if I'm covered for syph or not. 4. Any idea why I'm still having symptoms if I tested negative for all of them if those test results were indeed accurate? 4. How long before taking another HIV test?

I'm trying arginine but it's still terribly numb I'm a little diabetic, sugars go up to 183 and I had shooting pain all over the pelvis for a month that wasn't cured on cipro, amoxicillin, duricef, amoxicilin. and now the left vein in my pelvis hurts all the time still.
As I waver back and forth. I love my dog but I wish he were not incontinent and didn't have so many infections. In fact, I wish he were younger. I appreciate your response and it's good to feel that that is an option, especially if things get a lot worse. of course we all would prefer our dog die a natural death. My last dog died suddenly of Congestive Heart Failure and it was so much easier. She was a 13 1/2 yr old Shih-tzu.
I had horrid chills for 2 days, dull backache and tiredness. It developed into a temp of 38.7, high pulse and bp and whole body pains. Doctor came out and said it was a virus and to take painkillers. Since then I have continued with the chills and tiredness, dull backache and extremely frequent urination. Over the last few dayss I have had pain in my kidney which feels like being pinched. I took a sample into the doctors 3 days ago, and a dip test revealed protein but no infection.
Hi there, Streptococcal B infection can cause urinary tract infections and throat infections both. Since you had throat infection followed by urine infection it could possibly be streptococcal infection. Strep throat is diagnosed by culturing the bacteria from a throat swab. In kidney disease is suspected, a urinalysis will show blood or protein in the urine, and bacteria may be cultured from either the blood or urine. Infection responds to antibiotics. Consult your doctor. Hope it helps.
-All STDs see above (however, the tests for the less common bacterial infections were only made after antibiotic treatment and therefore not conclusive) -Hip joint damage (x-ray done by rheumatologist) -Scrotal Cancers/cysts (ultrasound) -Kidney stones (CT scan and ultrasound) Treatments received to date: 1) Azithromicin 1000mg (Oct. 08) 2) Azithromicin 1000mg (Dec.
On the other hand, surgery seems extreme. Of course, the last thing I want is to do nothing and risk more infection and possible kidney damage. Has anyone been through this? Did you ever go against a Dr. recommendation?
But to get to the point, I have only had 3 yeast infections but they start at my clitoris and itch and burn like crazy and have found the little white stuff around the hood? My GP always told me to take thrush cream and tablet and it has seemed to work. But all doctors are full of **** and the hospitals are worse. I think the more natural stuff you put in your body the better. i wish all the best for you and hope one of us gets the answers we are looking for?
During this time, I was tested for all STDs (all negative), tested for bacterial infections (negative) and treated repeatedly for thrush (even though all lab tests came back negative). Eventually, the symptoms eased on their own. I dont use chemical irritants etc so dont think thats the problem. My symptoms returned 5 weeks ago - again, all tests are negative, I was treated again for thrush (no relief, and lab test came back negative).
My doctor thinks my symptoms aren't typical of someone with back problems, or typical of someone with kidney infections.
For years I would pass out for no reason and have bursts of energy then all of a sudden get real tired and would even have trouble w/ my memory and have trouble maintaing weight just all kinds of things and these spells would last for a couple of weeks before I would recover. At the age of 17 I started producing kidney stones and for years I kept switching doctors who just kept dismissing everything.
The experience was terrible for me, my partner has been away for weeks and I broke down. To be honest I am guilt stricken like I have never felt before and will never do anything unsafe ever again- ever, this is just not worth the worry.
Amoxicillin is the right thing for a pregnant woman with Lyme. You cannot take Doxycycline when pregnant. I have heard many good stories of kids who got Lyme in utero who are doing great with antibiotics. Treatment makes all the difference. Planning to do the cord blood test is very wise. But if the baby tests negative, there is still a chance of infection. If s/he tests positive, then s/he will need amoxicillin. I have no idea for how long...are you aware of Dr. Jones in Connecticut?
Most common cause is stones in kidney which is blocking urine pathway. Other causes are diabetes and of course childhood infections. The urine can also be due to retention of urine anywhere in its flow due to obstruction. You should consult a pediatric urologist and get a comprehensive profile of investigations done. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
They put me on Amoxicillin of 500 Mg a capsule and I have to.take three a day for a week. I just hope it's not hurting my Baby. I haven't felt her.move today and i'm 19 Weeks and 1 day.
I'm "glad" I´m not the only one suffering from this. I have been treated for sinus and bronchitus infections that "weren't there" for years. I´ve been off the milk products for a month now and I don´t have that feeling of having weights on my limbs and I can´t move.

Since about the age of 25 and currently at 44, I have had many bouts with prostatitis, kidney infections, epiditimitis, and orchitis. Just recently I found out that I have a fistula (hole) in my prostate and rectum. Currently pain can be so bad that I can't function. I'm not suggesting that you might have a fistula, since the pain now is far worse that what I used to have about a year ago.
My doctor diagnose me with UTI and was advised to take antibiotic (amoxicillin) though she advised that this is the safest for pregnant mum, I'm kinda hesitant to take it. Do u mum's experience anything of this? What can you advised me to to get rid of my UTI? Thanks!
Apparently they're very common throughout pregnancy, I have a bladder infection at the moment and been prescribed a course of amoxicillin.
I had several during pregnancy with DD because of all the antibiotics I took for my kidney infections.....I used the monistat cream and I was fine. I wouldn't use the pill either. I'm pretty sure you can just have her use the over-the-counter creams and it'll clear up right away, it always did for me. Also have her eat LOTS of yogurt while she's taking the amoxicillin it'll keep the yeast infection from coming back/getting worse.
A virus hijacks your own body's healthy cells and uses it to reproduce and spread. A bacteria is its own living cell and multiplies and spreads on its own and is easier to destroy in that process. Speaking of outbreaks, influenza is finally reaching Palo Alto right around now.
Amoxicillin (Amoxil, Trimox) Nitrofurantoin (Furadantin, Macrodantin) Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) Levofloxacin (Levaquin) Sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim (Bactrim) As an at-home treatment, increased water-intake, frequent voiding, the avoidance of sugars and sugary foods, drinking unsweetened cranberry juice, taking cranberry supplements, as well as taking vitamin C with the last meal of the day can shorten the time duration of the infection.
