yes my ds has just finished a course of amoxicillin for a chest infection and he has had the stinkiest and loosest stools in his nappies since a day after he started taking it. he has been doing 3 poos a day in his nappies too. hopefully tomorrow should be the last day i see another nappy like he's had and then it will be well on its way out of his system!
My son was given antibiotics due to an ear infection and he has chronic loose stool which is burning his little behind and other parts (poor little baby). I'm supposed to give him the antibiotics for 10 days but the diarrhea is so bad, I'm stopping at 7. I know yogurt is good for replacing the bacterial balance in their intestines, but is there anything else I'm supposed to do? Will it correct itself, or do I need to take him back to the dr?
I took her through emergency after 3 days where the ER doctors did a urinalysis and cultures but as a result they both tested negative for a UTI or bladder infection. She was diagnosed with strep throat and is being treated with amoxicillin 400mg in which I was told it cures some symptoms of a UTI however she still complains. I followed up with her pediatrician where there was a second urinalysis done which also tested negative.
she has been taking it for about three days, and since she has had a really runny stool. i'll change her diaper and it looks like it's dark green dyed. and today it was and orange-ish color. and down below, her whole diaper area, she has little pimple like looking bumps. there's probably only about 10, but she's also a little red. could this be a reaction to the amoxicillian? or is she just getting irritated because of the runny stool because she has the cold virus?
I cannot keep him contained to a perfectly clean blanket anymore, he is off exploring new areas, but I am very cautious about washing his clothes in dreft and we only use cetaphil on his skin, because he has extremely sensitive skin. Could this really be linked to the Amoxicillin and the nurse just isn't putting it together? Would the reaction have happened sooner if they were linked?
old who has had diarrhea, mucus, in stool for wks, then stopped temporarily, started again. Very foul smell, mostly green in color, mucus and now a fever. This has gone on for 1 1/2 mos. We stopped milk just in case, that didn't help. She is on gatorade, bland diet, and in between this had a sinus infection and took amoxicillin for 10days. Her fever went up to 102.9 is coming down with motrin/tylenol in between. Stool was tested for parasites.
I had her remove it and then just touched her breasts and hand with my penis until I ejaculated. Afterwards I washed with a wash cloth and went home and showered. I also took 250mg of amoxicillin I had from a previous case of bronchitis hoping maybe that would do something if there was an exposure. Since then I've had loose stool that has been green / yellow and tingling throughout my penis. What are my risks of contracting and std?
My 5 yr old cat stopped eating and drinking for 5 days now I brought her to the vet on monday he said she has a thickened bladder and is treating her for a bladder infection he gave her amoxicillin and glucosamine pill to help with the thickened bladder. Well she's been on that for 3 days and she's still not eating or drinking no poop or pee either... She vomited 4 days in a row but hasn't yet today. I'm scared we are going to loose her. I'm bringing her back to the vets tomorrow.
This bacterium is normally present in the colon, but when antibiotics kill some other normal bacteria, C-diff overgrow and causes diarrhea. This is potentially dangerous disease, you MUST have a stool test for C-diff and if positive, treat it immediately, well - with other antibiotics, as prescribed. Burping may be the symptom in another problem - H. pylori infection of your stomach, which may be confirmed by a breath test.
Eat a better diet lower the sugars and the carbs, drink water ( a little lemon pinch of baking soda only) maybe some green or white teas. 2. Exercise moderately (walk in sunlight) 3. Read a good book or watch Family Guy ( reading makes me relax, Family guy carcks me up and laughing is a wonderful medicine) 4. Alcolize get the body away from acids ( I am trying but not so successfully) 5. Cleanse ( colon, liver, candida etc) 6.
I’m concerned because 4 week after I started having migraine headaches for two weeks straight then what appears to be a sinus infection, swollen lymph nodes, Chest pain, joint pain, vomiting twice, stomach pain, no fever but hot flashes all the time. Now I’m having mild night sweats, mouth sores lasting two day then they heal, and green- yellowish mucus in stool this is what prompted me to go to the doctors.
With the methods I will show you, the yellow and green purulence, which we better know as snot, will be removed from your nasal passages. When the infected snot is removed from your head, the cold viruses, bacteria, and perhaps the fungi will not have a comfortable environment to thrive, multiply, and release the poisons which inflame and destroy the otherwise healthy red mucus membranes in your nose and sinuses. Doctors have difficulty treating sinusitis caused by fungi.
I requested testing also for Feline Leukemia and Heartworms, took in a stool sample and it will be tested for parasites. Vet did ask if anal gland had ever been checked since i mentioned that she had been licking in that generally vicinity often and she found it was indeed full. She showed me what she drew out of her and it was not the usual stinky, yellow fluid but instead looked like paste ! This may be one of the reasons my girl was having some difficulties passing a stool (let's hope)..
I will have a PCR next week to check the impact of the Alinia at one month and will share those results here. I started taking Amoxicillin a week after I started the Alinia and that combo was very rough on my stomach and digestive system. As soon as I finished the Amoxiciilin I started feeling fine. The only Alinia sides I have noticed is a loose stool and the coolest color urine I've ever seen- a a neon green/yellow kind of thing. The color looks similar to the Alinia tablets.
My cough came back and I went back to the Doctor and was prescribed Mary's Mouthwash and Amoxicillin. $300 later (no benefits) I still have a terible cough, phlegm and a bright Orange Tongue just in time for halloween!!! Tomorrow I am headed to the Veterans Affairs clinic and am gonna try and figure this all out for $6 instead of $300 well see what happens.
amoxicillin and nystatine on suspention for only two days, and my entire body feel very dry, including my vagina, anus and between legs. the problem is that I don't have fever or any sign of infection, not the normal trhoat irritation or plaques. I just can't create saliva and felt like moniliasis on my digestive tract making me feel with hurtburnt.
I agree with the theory that suggest antibiotics could be the culprit. I was put on Amoxicillin 500mg for 10 days. On the 6th and 7th days, I had really bad diarrhea. So I stopped the antibiotic. The diarrhea faded away. However, ever since I've developed this bad body oil smell & rarely had completely normal bowel movement. Most of the time is the 1st half of the stool is normal and the 2nd half is kind of loose, but no diarrhea.
I give my cat a probiotic, Miralax 1/4 teaspoon twice a day for constipation, this can be bought over the counter here..The vet said it was fine to give and that there were no side effects except her stool could become too loose and if that happened to cut back a little on the miralax. I also give her as of recently b12 in METHYLCOBALAMIN for, sublingual, I crush it up in her food once a day, 1/4 of the 1mg.. This helps with constipation also and some cats with renal problems .
The next day she started to come down with something (sneezing coughing and green mucus) so i took her to see the Doc. Doc said her and her baby sis had the same thing just a plain cold- no meds, just rest, stay hydrated, use a humidifier you know the drill. Anyways things were rocking along and a couple days later i checked on my daughter about two hours after i put her to bed and once again she threw up in her sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions on what this could be? p.s.
I am impressed with the amount of vitamins/minerals you take! I am on acidophilus twice a day and take super green powder supplement too. As far as all those, im not sure if you would get hives from them. Does the ruby red powder have cherry in it? Of what you say about just regular sugar.. i think i will quit that too! I have read a fair bit about stevia from a book called The Truth About Beauty by Kat James. Excellent book!
Spiderman likely has food allergies and cats are usually allergic to the proteins in the food, such as, chicken, fish, dairy, beef, pork, soy, wheat and corn. He is on green pea and duck from Natural Balance. The vet put him on a food with a protein he had never eaten, such as duck or venison. He is likely allergic to chicken and fish which he ate for years. I learned a cat can develop food allergies to the very proteins they have eaten for a long time.
He gave the Clindamycin vaginal cream for the Strep B and I finished that a couple of weeks ago and it still has not gone away. Had a series of Blood tests done and a stool sample. Blood tests were all normal but the stool sample came back with C-diff in my intestenal track. The medications I took allowed for all the bad bacteria to grow. I was then put on Alinia medication for the C-diff which has helped a great deal and I thought the Strep B would be gone.
The hepatic flexure of the colon makes the turn right in the same area where the liver and the gallbladder are. could be buildup of stool and gas that stretches the colon and causes pain. Has the Dr mentioned this?
Thanks to Duchess47, Wepst and JDanMan for your comments and suggestions. I will seriously look into all of your suggestions and hope that it's just some seasonal allergy thing. Thanks again.
I just finished the antibiotics and I still feel the same as I did when I first went to him in July. He had me on amoxicillin plus Astelin. I have tried Nasacort, Zyrtec, Claritin, Alavert, etc.... no relief. I am a computer programmer and I can't function like this anymore. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.
i had blood, urine and stool tests done 3 month's ago and there was no sign of cancer. my x-ray's did reveal a small spot outside my lung in left area of my chest and she told me it wasn't serious. i've lost about 30 lbs weight on my own from cutting down my intake of food for i was quite overweight and now feel better the weight is off but am now trying to regulate it, sometimes tough to.
I wonder if some of the pain is from stool passing through the part of my intestine where they made the cut and maybe some scar tissue has developed? I'm definitely interested to know what your doctor says about it. Food that cause me discomfort (bloating and gas mostly) are fatty foods and complex carbohydrates (dairy, bread, rice, starchy veg, etc.). But I havent come across any foods that cause me pain. Best of luck at your appointment and be sure to let us know how it goes.
in a different way than the radioligst do. He is a pelvic pain specialist and inserted sodium pottasium into the bladder and told my daug if it brings on the same type of pain pressure than thats how they diagnosos I.C. and said she had it.Her symptoms are a feeling like she has to urinate and even when she does she still feels like she has a full bladder. the pressure from not being able to relieave hurts. She is on pain med's to help until we can find a answer but if it is I.C.
