ammonia

9310208 tn?1410859285 I use dishsoap on counters, vinegar water and dshsoap mixture on floors, water alone on mirrors, green or natural toilet bowl cleaner that has low odor, and antibacterial cleaning wipes that I wear gloves with in the bathroom that don't smell too strong. Vinegar on counter and cutting board when sanitizing. Vinegar and baking soda paste mixture in oven and let it sit before scrubbing. I never have used many chemicals to clean (except the bathroom). I felt it was still pretty sanitary.
Avatar f tn I recently noticed that my vagina has this strong vinegar smell to it.... is that normal?
Avatar m tn So, I would guess strong vinegar is more related to urine which has ammonia in it. Maybe you leaked a little urine or it was hard wiping it away with your period?
Avatar f tn Otherwise, women have discharge of various consistencies and colors related to our hormones as they change over our cycle and regular discharge can be something we smell while not being foul or bacterial related. Urine has an ammonia smell and vinegar sounds a bit like that. Anyway, the best thing to do is to have a doctor swab the discharge and determine what's going on. I know you probably don't feel like doing that but all women have this from time to time.
338963 tn?1253660822 But if the chemicals bother u. than I have heard that either mixing vinegar and water together acts like windex. or for an antibacterial use water and hydrogen perixiode (sp?). Oh and if you do use cleaning products try to keep them off of your skin. Use gloves. and make sure the room you are in is well ventilated. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have this? I'm 35 weeks and my urine smells like ammonia. No burning when I go no fever...
Avatar f tn I use alcohol on a Q-tip and it stops them for a bit. We are using enzymes, diatomaceous earth, permethrin, wash clothes in ammonia and borax. We have tried all the oils and potions we can find. We have moved 3 times in 1 year and even stayed in a hotel for 3 months. We cannot get rid of them. It's hell on earth. We need help.
Avatar m tn They used to add chlorine, which was bad enough, but now they add ammonia also. It is not a good mixture for our skin, hair or lungs. You might want to see if you can afford a shower filter that filters out the mixture, known as chloramine. Other suggestions would be doing a vinegar cool rinse or trying neem shampoo. But I really have to filter the water and do the other things too. My other shampoo I switch back and forth with is Neutrogena Clean shampoo. The green one.
Avatar f tn Vinegar like smell in sweat is due to an acid called propionic acid. Since this acid is chemically similar to acetic acid in vinegar, the sweat smells of vinegar. This happens due to excess amino acids in sweat (which are breakdown products of protein), seen common with a high protein diet. Also if the diet is rich in cheese, then bacteria of staphylococcus type acts on the sweat and causes this smell of vinegar.
Avatar f tn At home, I use natural cleaners and hot, soapy water with vinegar. I deep clean an elderly couple's house biweekly and wear a dust mask and gloves just to be sure I don't get too many chemicals in my system.
Avatar m tn He will take a shower and then towel dry. He smells great. The towel smells like ammonia, then after it drys it is just horrible bo. He gets mad because I wash his towel after one use but it stinks up whole bathroom. He does not smell it. What could this be? Please help this is something I can not take.
Avatar f tn I seem to be sensitive to the chemicals added to the water these days. They tend to add both ammonia and chlorine now. My skin hates this. If you have any asthma, that's an even better reason to get a whole-house filter that filters out ammonia and chlorine (chloramine is the chemical that results). For the shampoo you switch to when not using Nizoral, consider Neutrogena Clean green formula.
598816 tn?1219542566 I found at Walgreens they sell some cleaner called Holy Cow. It's supposed to be organic and free of alcohol, ammonia, vinegar and VOC (whatever that is?) I am trying their glass cleaner and it works pretty well. I agree with mom888 about certain chemicals. I think in our family some of the fregrances aggravate some of us, either the smell, or causes headaches. Personally I'm not a fan of bleach.... I use it sometimes to sterilize pots, but the smell is strong...

Avatar f tn I live in Florida and the lifeguards all carry vinegar to put on jellyfish bites. You can mix up a combo of vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray it on to take the sting away. Of course, the sting usually comes back after a while! Hate those Port. man o' wars!
5536514 tn?1373500002 I am sorry for not keeping up, but without getting too personal, Ive had a really rough couple of years mentally due to the murder trial that is still going on for my daughter.. Still hepc free. just started xfaxin for ammonia levels and hoping it helps. Im actually minimizing my health problems, because I know that there are many of you in worse shape then me. No sense is pissing and moaning.
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I work in a paint department. I mix colors and clean up paint pretty much. Since I've worked there we have always used glass cleaner to clean the paint off the desk and our hands. I didnt know this until today but the cleaner we use has ammonia in it. I've been using it every day for a few months to get the paint off of my hands. Could it have hurt my baby?
Avatar n tn We discovered that my husband had an episode of Encephalopathy, which is high ammonia in the blood. But by the time we had his blood checked his levels were right smack in the middle of the range. Doctor said he was fine. So my question is can this ammonia gone untreated continue to rise and lower on its own. Because he has days that he seems fine and then days when he is not with me completely. He does not eat much as his taste buds are totally out of wack. Most foods taste very salty.
Avatar f tn I recently found out I had high ammonia, it was 66, I am taking lactalose and it is is now normal. All my blood work is within normal ranges on my liver function test and I also had a sonogram, have a mild fatty liver. Was wondering what could have caused this. I do drink a few beers a night.
Avatar f tn I'm 14 weeks pregnant and craving vinegar so bad. I'm not drinking it I heard it's bad but I'm just dipping everything in it. Why vinegar?
