Ammonia smelling sweat kidney

Common Questions and Answers about Ammonia smelling sweat kidney

ammonia

Do not mix this up with regular sweat from exercising. Ammonia odors from the breath or body sweat are called uremia. Nitrogen containing waste products, often from failing or damaged kidneys are suspected. Kidney tests are recommended to rule this out. Other metabolic waste products such as glycosylated wastes (protein wastes) and byproducts of abnormal cell oxidation may also be the cause of the ammonia odor. If the problem is from kidneys, dialysis is usually ordered.
Nothing else smells like it, and when people do, it's either from catabolic exercise or serious liver (or perhaps kidney) disease. Ammonia in my nose, breath and sweat. I swear it smells just like window cleaner. I just don't know what to make of it. I thought because ammonia has such a low odor threshold, perhaps one would be able to smell it even before it rose to levels high enough to produce HE. I'm doing very well with the detox... Down to two light beers a night.
It is so weird to me and I van find some people out there asking about it but most of the answers the get are about sweat smelling like ammonia or body or breath smelling like it. This is just deep in my passages.
In the last year, I have begun smelling burning rubber and smoke that no one else can and tasting ammonia. I have severe allergies which lead to chronic sinusitis at least twice a year, if not more. Traditional allergy meds don't always help. (Claritin seemed to help for about a week and then stopped helping.) I have an ovarian cyst.
Since I caught my fibrosis progression quickly, my urine was still a normal, or even too light color, prior to my current (and first) Tx, but it had started to develope an ammonia smell. Also my sweat consistancy changed, at the same time (about 2 yrs ago). It became more sticky, and no longer felt clean and fresh, like I had always remembered it being. Once I became Undetected, my urine and sweat became normal smelling.
but it can just be sweat... yes...we do sweat. Just like you get BO from your arm pits when they sweat without deodorant... This especially if you're overweight... I am kinda chunky and I too get very wet underwear...but its not a discharge... its sweat. And of course... sweat doesn't smell too good. It goes away with a change of undies and a shower but of course it comes back... The ammonia smell is probably pee leaking. Sweat and pee... not a nice combo.

No answers and no solutions. Yet, I have the same problem. Smelling cigarette smoke in my nose. By the way, when you are driving on the road, if someone is smoking and it's blowing out their window, it will come in through your air conditoner. That's why you smell it when you are on the road. OOOOK. Thought I've heard of everything but hey you never know. I know in the very old days even before my youth, people used to use bleach for soaking feet, like atheletes (sic) feet. I heard that it used to be in writing on the old Clorox bottles, I don't know for sure but I have done that and it works very well. I haven't treated my HepC yet but if I get the attack of the "itch bug", I'd be open to it.
I have avoided completely. 1. Eggs 2. Liver 3. Kidney 4. Peas 5. Beans 6. Peanuts 7. Soy products 8. Brassicas (brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower) 9 Lecithin and lecithin-containing fish oil supplements 10. SALT (is the main one causing this issue I believe). 11. OIL I am eating lot of vegs and fruits + 3 - 4 liters of water in a day. So basically what ever you eat don't use Direct SALT and oil.

It is saline solution—salt water—which you will make yourself, and administer to yourself in the most effective manner, and soon you will be breathing free, with sinuses as clear as you can remember. Perhaps, you may be smelling things that you haven’t smelled for quite some time. They may be fragrances that you miss, and some of them may be dreadful funks you wish you’d never experienced. If this technique does not work, then at least you can narrow down the real cause of your sinus problem.
All of my BP meds had to be doubled. I am sweating horrible smelling sweat in my sleep, when I sleep. Does anyone else have chronic insomnia? I was told that is a side effect of Hep C also.
This borderline fainting sensation lasts for about another minute before I break out into a sudden sweat all over my body. Within a few seconds I have sweat literally pouring out of me, my clothes are wet as if I ran a marathon or something. 4. After a minute of sweating I suddenly feel something coming out of my rear end. I try to squeeze it out and only a hard stool comes out. 5. The sweating stops and the stomach cramp subsides. I think everything is over and I clean up.
I had Mirena placed in December 07 and almost immediately I had this foul smelling discharge at random times. I went to the gyno and he swabbed and said everything is ok. Well the discharge continued and then I kept getting recurring bacterial vaginosis which I had to take several courses of anti-biotics. Then in July my period came and then never went away for a month. I had to remove the IUD thinking that it was just because of that.
My greatest endeavor to keep the effects of my 'bug' remedies at bay, that would be reek and sight of some harsh yet nowadays herbal agents in my despair of keeping these things off me during clinical procedures. Ironically, the most intense smelling and unsightly remedies are so far the most effective ones, at least for a while.
I have no diseases, do not use drugs, but drink on occasion. Anyways, just started noticing these strange symptoms, within the past few weeks. Nothing "brought it on" so to speak that I can tell of. It's been going on longer, but less noticeable, now since I do not talk sleeping meds any more, it's all that I can notice... Symptoms are strange sensations on my skin. The sensation is it feels like there are "invisible bugs" crawling on, and/or biting my skin.
Have had the problem for 5 or 6 years. It is exacerbated by sweat (eg when in high temperatures or during/after a work out at the gym).I feel that eye make up (even the highest qaulity for sensitive eyes etc) is the root of the problem**. Have never actually consulted a doctor about the problem but am about to do so because it seems to be happening more frequently. ** Let's do out own little survey! Any male (non-make up wearing) sufferers out there?
