Avatar n tn Hi there, Tammy is right. But, specifically the guidance says "Room temperature storage up to 30 days, if refrigeration is unavailable" Note: if refrigeration is unavailable Personally, I feel this does not include varying room temperatures and I would not advise anyone to leave it out in hi (hot) temperatures. But, that's my personal opinion. Would only feel comfortable to do something like that if I knew the temperatures at which the forumula/medicine would change.
10064121 tn?1415176073 Room temperature. Freshly expressed breast milk can be kept at room temperature for up to six hours. If you won't use the milk that quickly or the room is especially warm, transfer the milk to an insulated cooler, refrigerator or freezer. Insulated cooler. Freshly expressed breast milk can be stored in an insulated cooler with ice packs for up to one day. Then use the milk or transfer the containers to the refrigerator or freezer. Refrigerator.
219241 tn?1413537765 My synthoid comes in a bottle and it says "store at room temperature", so I keep them on my nightstand. The temperature in my bedroom is between 20 and 26 celsius. I hope that's okay!
Avatar n tn Lantus can be left unfridgerated for weeks at room temperature and not be spoiled, as long at temperatures are reasonably cool, and the liquid remain clear. This is not, of course recommended. And not desirable. On the other hand, it will lose effectiveness, which means you may not be able to precisely titrate a dose. It's kind of expensive, so there is no need to discard it for such a short period without refrigeration.
Avatar m tn My niece takes NovoLog / Novo Rapid by pump and coming to visit me in Kenya but her plane was cancelled and her insulin supply has reached room temperature. I live in Kenya and cannot find any supply of NovoLog there is only Humulin R. I need help to know if this is accceptable please!!!
Avatar m tn If the premixed interferon has been allowed to warm to room temperature for an extended period, you should probably call the manufacturer and request a replacement. Roche Pharmaceuticals maintains a toll free hot line; give them a call and discuss your situation with them. I believe proteins in the medication can ‘denature’, possibly affecting treatment outcome.
Avatar n tn This would have to be an overnight company which would require that you pack it so as to keep the temperature at the proper level. Though it would be wise to check with a pharmacist to see if insulin would fare well being transported without refrigeration, since it would be a pereiod of about 12 hours and they say insulin can last a month without refrigeration and is being used. Or check with your sons doctor to see what he recommends.
765439 tn?1292960414 However, a probiotic that requires refrigeration has also probably had better temperature regulation during transportation. You might also want to try a probiotic yogurt which some people find more helpful.
Avatar n tn We have a pharmacy forum on MH go back to the forums page and look to your right.
Avatar m tn Levothyroxine doesn't need to be refrigerated. Two weeks at room temperature wouldn't hurt it at all. Your FT3 and FT4 are virtually unchanged, which would indicate the meds WERE working. Your FT3 qnd FT4 levels are not terrible. Only your TSH is high, which probably reflects the fact that your thyroid is now making hormones for two. You need an increase in meds due to your pregnancy. Your endo will no doubt incresase your meds on Wednesday. Just test frequently from now on.
4451049 tn?1387153437 What acidophilus bacteria would be negatively effected by room temperature, but not by body temperature? Meaning, they are not cold natured critters that would die at room temperature. Can't agree with Dr. Wong's answer above. Now leaving them in your car on a sunny day, that's a different story.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed May 2007 with a breast carcinoma, most of it invasive--stage 1, grade 3, node negative, e.r.+, 1 cm., moderately high oncotype score of 29. I did chemo and radiation, and started tamoxifen at the end of March 2008. I am supposed to travel to southern India for 3 weeks from end December to mid January 2009. It's a spiritual trip to an ashram in a small rural town, and the temperature could reach 100 degrees farenheit.
154668 tn?1290115995 From the years I’ve been in here, I don’t believe an *excursion* to room temperature for a day or two will break down the proteins involved. Northern hemisphere=cool ambient temperatures? Better to confirm this with someone authoritative, though :o). Can you ask the flight attendant to put the container in the on board refrigerator? Might work, it you keep the container small enough.
Avatar f tn No, fish oil needs no refrigeration if it's in gel caps. It's the flax seed oil that needs the refrigeration.
2114467 tn?1358210256 Mine often show some condensation upon removal from refrigeration, and I do remember one time when for some reason it worried me. With more time to equilibrate to room temperature and with repeated wiping of the exterior I finally felt sure it was just condensation. I hope that was all that happened to yours. I still don't know why it was so much more extreme that one time.
422881 tn?1257603579 right? What about the Ribavirin? That doesn’t need refrigeration does it? Both were shipped in a Styrofoam cooler.
Avatar n tn I am worried because my test was not done right away. I also believe it was left out of refrigeration for sometime and then put in refrigeration. I also don't know on what conditions it was when it finally got laboratory. I know that they did a general blood test (that they do for people looking for immigration, but I had not immigration issues but that is ok). They did a general blood check, kidney check, HIV, syphilis, and some other stuff.
Avatar f tn How long is this medication safe under NO refrigeration. We went through "Ike" down here and really getting conflicting stories as to how long it is good, as it was in and out of coolers and the Fema never brought any ice so it was NOT REFRIGERATED.
Avatar f tn I think once the slides have been prepared there is no need for refrigeration. I believe that freezing the tissue is for the purpose of slicing and preparing the tissue for staining etc. A slide tray might be something to consider. Call the pathology lab to be sure because, after all, we're not really doctors here.
Avatar f tn In some cases overseas, thyroxine tablets have been unstable even at room temperature, and storage temperatures of 8°C to 15°C were required to maintain potency. In the USA, the Food and Drug Administration has determined that stability and potency problems with oral thyroxine preparations could potentially have adverse effects on health. It is therefore very important that thyroxine tablets should be kept in their original container and stored out of sunlight in a cool dry place.
Avatar m tn case to do elisa for hiv, i took the tubes my self to the testing centre in kuwait to speed things up and get an answer due to my OCD. It was in my car for about 40 minutes where the temperature was a bit hot, probably around 30 degree centigrade and then i gave it for testing. So the test was done probably 4 hours after her blood was draw and 40 mins of this was in my car. Do you think the " car time" would have ruined the blood ?
Avatar f tn its peg-intron redipen pre-filled pen my question is how long can the device ( peg-intron redipen pre-filled pen ) survive in room temperature??? I think i screwed up somewhere when taking back the medicine to my country ( 10 hours travel ) ... i used ice packs to keep them cold but i went through a lot of custom checks and they have to open the bag .... and i think the ice packs only managed to keep them cold for like 15 degrees celcius during the 10 hour travel ;/ now im really worried ....
Avatar f tn After refrigeration, if my baby does not finish all the breastmilk, how long is it good for at room temp???
Avatar n tn There is a slight advantage to Pegasys (alfa-2a) The Pegasys needs refrigeration.
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I work in a paint department. I mix colors and clean up paint pretty much. Since I've worked there we have always used glass cleaner to clean the paint off the desk and our hands. I didnt know this until today but the cleaner we use has ammonia in it. I've been using it every day for a few months to get the paint off of my hands. Could it have hurt my baby?
Avatar n tn We discovered that my husband had an episode of Encephalopathy, which is high ammonia in the blood. But by the time we had his blood checked his levels were right smack in the middle of the range. Doctor said he was fine. So my question is can this ammonia gone untreated continue to rise and lower on its own. Because he has days that he seems fine and then days when he is not with me completely. He does not eat much as his taste buds are totally out of wack. Most foods taste very salty.
Avatar f tn I recently found out I had high ammonia, it was 66, I am taking lactalose and it is is now normal. All my blood work is within normal ranges on my liver function test and I also had a sonogram, have a mild fatty liver. Was wondering what could have caused this. I do drink a few beers a night.
