I have heard of this and it isn't safe at all nor remotely accurate. Urine has ammonia in it and when ammonia and bleach mix it releases a very toxic gas, and almost always when urine hits bleach it will fiz or foam that's what creates the gas. I had a friend who tried this once in high school, (just for fun, she wasn't pregnant nor did she want to be) and she ended up in the hospital from the gas it created. Sorry didn't mean to scare you just stating the facts.

No, fish oil needs no refrigeration if it's in gel caps. It's the flax seed oil that needs the refrigeration.
It is normal during pregnancy.
FUN FACT- it is thought to be nature's way of protecting the baby. When not much was known and medical technology had not advanced refrigeration was not widely available. It is now thought that is how the first mother's knew what was safe for her baby to eat. That way she did not harm baby by eating rotten, spoiled or poisonous food.

Personally, I feel this does not include varying room temperatures and I would not advise anyone to leave it out in hi (hot) temperatures. But, that's my personal opinion. Would only feel comfortable to do something like that if I knew the temperatures at which the forumula/medicine would change.
My doctor gave me a pamphlet at my first visit and it had myths and facts about pregnancy... dying your hair will not harm you or the baby...the only thing that could go wrong would be the color not turn out right...i dye and highlight my hair..
Facts: 1--Some of us are taking S. boulardii (brand name fl*rastor), which is a yeast.
2--Others of us are taking Lactobacillus, which has many variety, acidophilus being the most common, which is bacteria.
3--Abx kill bacteria. Abx do not kill yeast. Therefore the abx will kill both good intestinal bacteria which we need and the bad (Lyme) bacteria.
Theory: Yeast can colonize the gut to defend against the lack of good bacteria, so we want to seed the gut with good yeast like S.

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I work in a paint department. I mix colors and clean up paint pretty much. Since I've worked there we have always used glass cleaner to clean the paint off the desk and our hands. I didnt know this until today but the cleaner we use has ammonia in it. I've been using it every day for a few months to get the paint off of my hands. Could it have hurt my baby?
We discovered that my husband had an episode of Encephalopathy, which is high ammonia in the blood.
But by the time we had his blood checked his levels were right smack in the middle of the range. Doctor said he was fine. So my question is can this ammonia gone untreated continue to rise and lower on its own. Because he has days that he seems fine and then days when he is not with me completely. I recently found out I had high ammonia, it was 66, I am taking lactalose and it is is now normal. All my blood work is within normal ranges on my liver function test and I also had a sonogram, have a mild fatty liver. Was wondering what could have caused this. I do drink a few beers a night.
Patients with liver disease are unable to process or detoxify ammonia so that ammonia levels can reach dangerously high levels. This is coupled by increased ammonia production of colonic bacteria, especially if one is constipated or has an irregular bowel movement. High protein intake can also lead to an incresed ammonia production. I suggest you talk about these possibilities with your doctors.
Ammonia odor can be associated with H. pylori. Ammonia can also be associated with urine and fecal material and not due to H. pylori.
Yes it does. High levels of ammonia cause hepatic encephalopathy which in turn can cause confusion, sleepiness and forgetfulness. There are medications to help lower those levels. Speak to your hep doc.
