I read that you're not supposed to eat hotdogs while pregnant. Do you know if It's because of the nitrates? If so, can't you just buy nitrate free ones? Or are there other problems with them? Thanks in advance!
I've eaten a couple during my pregnancy, though I usually make sure they're heated up really well and stick with 100% beef. I'm probably fooling myself, but somehow it seems safer than the mystery meat version.

Ran out of toothpaste, bought the sensitive stuff and after about a week I'm flipping and flopping all over the place again.
Have any of you mommies had to have silver nitrate put onto the remainder of your baby's umbilical cord stump? And if so how long did it take to fall off?

High protein intake can also lead to an incresed ammonia production. I suggest you talk about these possibilities with your doctors.
