Many people are initially diagnosed incorrectly when
hep c antibodies are found. Having previous exposure to
hep c (antibodies) is different from having chronic hep c (presence of viral load). If your result shows no QUANT (quantifiable) RNA, in the case of your lab test, unquantifiable means less than 43, you are not considered to have chronic hep c, and no treatment would be necessary. Having antibodies alone does not require treatment.
