Avatar f tn It is also possible that, if the concentration of ammonia is high enough, chlorine gas will form. If it starts to give off a strong odour and your eyes are burning, flush it and open a window or turn on the ventilation fan immediately, then get out of the room. Chlorine gas is highly toxic.
Avatar f tn I have heard of this and it isn't safe at all nor remotely accurate. Urine has ammonia in it and when ammonia and bleach mix it releases a very toxic gas, and almost always when urine hits bleach it will fiz or foam that's what creates the gas. I had a friend who tried this once in high school, (just for fun, she wasn't pregnant nor did she want to be) and she ended up in the hospital from the gas it created. Sorry didn't mean to scare you just stating the facts.

Avatar n tn There is more than one variety, and a specialist is needed to determine the specific type. Generally ammonia will destroy this kind of mold. I know people recommend other liquids, but ammonia is the way to go. Before using the ammonia the room should be "dewatered" with use of one of more dehumidifiers. These molds like moist places.

Avatar f tn My newborn is 6 days old and has been havin really bad gas. and everytime she farts she poops. like explosive poop but its not like diaherria. its just soft poop. it happens when she sneezes too. im concerned she has a digestive issue. any ideas? btw shes usin breastmilk and formula.
Avatar n tn However if you choose a diet rich in fiber you may be able to skip that. It will depend on your ammonia levels which a blood test will reveal. You need to get to 3 good bowel movememnts a day to keep blood ammonia down, which is the largest cause of brain fog. If you treat for hep C with SOC you should also see a drop in this problem as your liver returns to normal function and enymes levels.
Avatar f tn I believe that we emit ammonia from our bodies due to to the imbalance in our stomach and digestive track. Are bodies cannot get rid of the excess ammonia properly so it comes out through our pores causing people to sneeze and itch. I'm not a doctor, but I've had this long enough to know this is part of our problem.
Avatar f tn There are some bacteria in the gut that produce hydrogen sulfide gas. Sometimes this gas is produced in such huge quantities that the sulfide oxidase enzyme in the wall of the gut is not able to oxidize all of it and convert it to thiosulfate. Hence the gas enters the blood stream and gets filtered by kidney into the urine. This gas has a smell of rotten eggs. You can test its presence by test strips available OTC.

Avatar f tn So I'm starting the labor process and I have the worst gas...
Avatar n tn I starting having really explosive gas one summer, then it went away. Then it came back again with diarhea and vomiting and severe cramps But now that I have had my gallbladder removed I think all the gas problems were due to my gallbladder disease, as since it has been removed I do not have the same gas problems like I did before. And I understand how embarasssing it can be. Good luck in your search for your problem.
Avatar f tn For the past 2 days I have been feeling like I have explosive diarrhea in my stomach but when I rush to the bathroom, nothing happens. Have any of you experienced this?
Avatar m tn First of all, proteus can decompose urea to produce ammonia. We have all heard the smell of ammonia. The smell of urine in the toilet is the smell of ammonia. Therefore, the urine odor of PATM patients is produced by Proteus. In addition, proteus produces indole and hydrogen sulfide in our intestines. Indole is another name for faecal odor. The reason why feces stink is because of the high concentration of indole in feces. The fecal odor of PATM patients is produced by Proteus.
Avatar f tn If mixed with ammonia or acid-based cleaners (including vinegar), chlorine bleach releases toxic chloramine gas. Short-term exposure to this gas may cause mild asthmatic symptoms or more serious respiratory problems. (Source: Washington Toxics Coalition) You could try the following remedies. To be on the safe side, don't mix chlorine bleach with anything -- or just avoid chlorine bleach altogether.
Avatar f tn We all know that the gas could be hydrogen sulfide or methane or someting nitrous depending on what consume. But this doesnt explain how it passes through glass windows/doors. The sun emits infrared / UV radiations that can penetrate through glass and hence heat up our car interiors. Obviously, this heat radiations that the sun emits is odorless but perhaps our bodies emit similar radiations that are heaty and suffocating.
206807 tn?1331936184 Hundreds of people gathered at a suburban St. Louis gas station early Wednesday morning after a police officer shot and killed an 18-year-old man who had been pointing a 9 mm handgun at the officer, authorities said. Some protesters among the angry crowd of between 200 and 300 turned violent early Wednesday morning, setting off explosive devices and throwing bricks and rocks, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said at a press conference.
Avatar f tn Your bowels can be explosive when there is unreleased intestinal gas or flatulence. Your diet changes can make a difference to your digested food. Continue to keep hydrated and eat fiber that is sometimes reduced when changing a diet. I lost 14 pounds in 5 weeks when I switched from Pepsi to Diet Pepsi. I use Splenda as a sugar substitute and eat sugar-free cookies. I add a little olive oil to pasta to maintain some digested oils.
Avatar n tn I've been having stomach pains, with a lot of gas pains, for over a year. They come and go. Lately (last week) I discovered a "lump(?)" that I believe is waste in my ascending colon. It won't pass through. I can move it down and feel, hear, waste getting past. I think it's waste because I can move it. But I can't get it to dissolve or soften up so it will pass through. I've increased my fiber intake and am drinking lots of water. Any ideas on what else to do?
