ammonia

Chlorine bleach, or sodium hypochlorite, is a lung and eye irritant. If mixed with ammonia or acid-based cleaners (including vinegar), chlorine bleach releases toxic chloramine gas. Short-term exposure to this gas may cause mild asthmatic symptoms or more serious respiratory problems. (Source: Washington Toxics Coalition) You could try the following remedies. To be on the safe side, don't mix chlorine bleach with anything -- or just avoid chlorine bleach altogether.
When she would work out, she'd sweat into her panties and that, mixed with bleach caused a strong ammonia smell. It's a long shot but I just thought I'd mention it. It does sound like a UTI though. Have it checked out. If you don't have a doctor there are over-the-counter meds you can buy for it.
OOOOK. Thought I've heard of everything but hey you never know. I know in the very old days even before my youth, people used to use bleach for soaking feet, like atheletes (sic) feet. I heard that it used to be in writing on the old Clorox bottles, I don't know for sure but I have done that and it works very well. I haven't treated my HepC yet but if I get the attack of the "itch bug", I'd be open to it.

I work at a dog day care/boarding & grooming service. The indoor play yards where the dogs go to the bathroom are mopped regularly with a very strong industrial bleach solution that burns all of our eyes terribly & makes all of the dogs go into sneezing fits. I have recently been feeling short of breath easily fatigued & have had several serious dizzy spells that made me unable to function. Could these symptoms be related to inhaling these bleach (& ammonia from the urine) fumes?
Hey guys! FTM here, curious if any of you dye or bleach your hair while expecting. I've read mixed reviews, some saying it's fine and some saying it's better to wait. I would love to bleach my hair, just wanting to mix things up a bit. I'm about 16 weeks. Any opinions?
You should practice this. The idea is NOT to inhale any of the fumes. NEVER EVER USE AMMONIA AND BLEACH! NEVER! Mixed together they form a poisonous gas. Then leave the house to take care of errands. In an hour or two come back and do another three foot by three foot portion, and again leave the house. Keep the bathroom window open. When the entire bathroom is done, wash down the walls thoroughly. It may take you several days to work your way through the bathroom. Keep the dehumidier on.
I am 18 + 1 week and I keep getting mixed reviews on whether or not to dye my hair my roots are terrible and I feel its just a mess is it safe to dye my hair myself woth a shop bought dye?
When bleach is mixed with acids (such as those found in toilet bowl cleaners), it reacts with them to form chlorine gas, which can actually be deadly. When it is mixed with ammonia, it can create chloramine gas, another toxic substance. Short-term exposure to chloramine gas may cause mild asthmatic symptoms or more serious respiratory problems. It can even form a toxic gas when hyper-chlorinated by hot water. In the environment, sodium hypochlorite is acutely toxic to fish.
If you get your hair dyed I would highly suggest going to a salon and informing them that you are pregnant. Because your PH Balance is all messed up due to hormones it can cause weird effects to hair dye. Like turning it pink or purple for instance.
You just never know what is in the commercially made ones. I do use bleach but in a very reduced solution. Vinegar is also a great disinfectant and good for windows. I hope that your son's RAD gets under better control.
Cleaning everything with 10 percent solution of ammonia or 1 part ammonia to 10 parts water. Bleach does not kill coccidia. Steam cleaning works well to, wash all toys and bedding with detergent and ammonia. Ponzuril works great. I have been using it for years and never had a problem with it. Treat 3 days in a row and retreat on day 13 for 1-3 days. Sanitation is very important or the cat or kitten will get it again. Show your vet http://www.sheltermedicine.vet.cornell.edu/Ponazuril.
Any dark coloured panties soon get a patch similiar to a bleach stain on them. The odour usually smells like ammonia and not only is it on me but on my clothing. Over the years I have been tested for everything imaginable but all tests always come back negative. I have always thought i was weird as none of my friends seem to have this problem. Yes I have been overweight for a large part of this time so sweating makes sense but NOT all of this time.
all Agree. Bleach is the best antiviral there is! So just maybe bleach in the tiniest dose is a cheap alternative to killing viruses if it doesn't kill you as well. That said, I personally opted for expensive Western medical treatment but am not deluded into self-righteousness about it, knowing how short it falls in most cases.

BUGGED OUT, I BELIEVE YOU! It has been suggested to me by a psychiatrist that I have psychosis because I'm plagued by bugs crawling & biting me but when I brush them away, I don't see anything! I have had this problem off & on for many years! However, after reading your post, I began checking my fingernails & hands when I scratch or brush the bugs away & discovered that there are actually bugs!
i will also add, it gets all though your clothes, it seems bleach+borax, then 2hrs in the dryer + 3 weeks in a sealed bag will not kill them off. after doing that, my dirty clothes actually feel cleaner?? if i get my clothes dry cleaned, they are 100% fine. (obviously still, i have the problem in my scalp so it comes back) its not any detergents or allergy's.

After dying my hair for a very long time I have discovered I am allergic to PPD. Bleach doesn't bother me, only black\dark hair dye seems to set me off. I have switched to organic henna and indigo. Only use henna if it is completely natural with NO additives. If it comes out of the bag green, you're generally good to go! I can't speak for the the going red process, but as far as black hair goes its worked great for me. I use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner- which keeps it black longer.
Hammer) does work to get these things under control...for most part! In laundry, bleach/borax/ammonia works the best! I came home and started a load of clothes in the washing machine. Whites first because I wanted to get Bleach in my machine first. They I started to wash all the clothes in my house and went through everything. Clothes that I wasn't wearing I just put in space bags and vacuumed the bags. The next load was my towels in hot water and a little bleach. Then all my clothes in hot water, tide detergent and a capful of vinegar.
