I am 45 years with good health. My blood pressure is on a higher side 140/90 and is on amlodipine 5 mg for last 7-8 years. The hiccup syndrome started about 6-7 yeas back. It is very annoying and and forces me to take off from office. Can someone suggest the reason for the continous hiccup during cold. I do not get such hiccups on normal days, except when a eat any extreme spicy food.
I have been taking Pantoprazole for 10 years and now decided to take a probiotic. could this be making me have cramps?
I also take amlodipine and propranolol.
It involves waking up in the middle of the night with a pain in the left leg. The pain is mostly in the calf muscles. It some times spreads to the entire leg. The intensity of the pain is severe (7 out of 10). The pain comes in waves each lasting 1-2 minutes and the total episode ends in 5-6 minutes. Stretching the leg in various directions does not help. The muscles feel very tight.

But, in nov 2008 i discovered that my bp is going up 135/87 with my mother's home test kit, within 2 months i.e jan 2009 it went up to 150/100 i was very scare i went to see a doctor and i was tested and treated with the following: asomex 5mg (2wks dose), cardioace, eve fishoil and cognitol.
I was just prescribed amlodipine for my gastritis how ever I can't seem to find any info about it being helpful for that. All the info I have found is about blood pressure. Is this a common prescription? Should I be concerned if I already have low blood pressure?

I was on Losartan 50mg which was working fairly well then the nephrologist suggested I switch to Amlodipine 2.5 mg. which he says is better for creatinine levels. I had been taking Amlodipine for a few weeks and BP rose. Doctor has increased to 5 mg. Not sure how long it will take to reduce BP. Has anyone any experience with Amlodipine? How is it? Any adverse side effects?
I am a male 70 years of age. I have been on 150mg Irbesartan and 5mg Amlodipine daily since October 2010. This controlled by BP within acceptable limits. Since late April, however, the systolic has risen to an average of around 150. My doctor wants me to add a beta blocker to the other medications. Lately everytime I am sleeping I am waking up with really painful leg cramps. Yesterday I had to get out of bed to stretch it out and it seemed like it was taking forever to go away. Now today I woke up with one in my other leg.....what can I do to get rid of these? Im constantly stretching my legs, wiggling my toes, and moving my ankles.
Try eating more bananas. I think the potasium in them help w cramps.
