Dropped lisinopril and went back to 5mg of amlodipine.
I'm going to double amlodipine to 10mg since my numbers have been climbing.
Amlodipine reduced to a half pill again and we added in Lisinopril at a low dose.
As of today amlodipine is reduced to 5mg and I've started taking 6.25mg carvedilol twice a day.
I take atenolol .25mg and amlodipine 5mg every night around 7p.m. Though I don’t have issues, during night time my heart rate is as low as 49 or 50. My BP is around 100/55. Should I reduce my atenolol dosage to half of what I take now ie .12.5mg to increase heart rate as I feel heart rate of 49 is too low. During day time my heart rate rages between 55 and 62. Please advice.

Lisnopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor while Amlodipine is a long-acting calcium channel blocker. Tadalafil and amlodipine show minor drug interactions of not clinical, biochemical or other significance, so this combination is otherwise considered safe. Dosage and timing of dosage may need adjustment. Same is true for Tadalafil and lisnopril.
I was prescrbed metoprolol 50mg and amlodipine 5mg. I have been taking this medine for a year. I have been regularly checking my BP ever since. It comes to 130/75mm/hg within a month. But Still I am taking the same dosage. My worry is : Is metoprolol and amlodipine safe to take?Since I am 38 only what would be its long term effects. That is taking the drug for over 30 years? Was switched from lisinopril to amlodipine. Began Plavix. Was told that I had so many blockages/narrowings that additional surgical intervention would be fruitless. Had multiple brief blackout spells at 5 mg dosage. Reduced dosage to 2.5 mg, still having significant issues with light-headedness and angina. Reluctant to drive. I cannot tolerate beta blockers (metoprolol among others) due to similar problems with fainting and falling.
Is is OK to take Diovan 160 mg. with Propranolol ER 60 mg. with Amlodipine 5 mg? Seems like a lot blood pressure meds.
amlodipine, Victrelis (boceprevir) Boceprevir may increase the blood levels and effects of amLODIPine. This can increase the risk of serious side effects such as irregular heart rhythm, fluid retention, swelling, heart failure, and excessively low blood pressure. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications.

I have problem of BP as well as acute knee pain since last 10 yrs and since last 3/4 months increased too much with swelling on foot- ankles due to increased dosage of Amlodipine-5 mg as pain killer causing increased BP. Now painkillers Dalonat and orecerin gm tablets are not reducing pain and causes cramps in both legs many times.Earlier Numoside with paracitomal used to stop pain for whole day but increased BP to 180/100 so stopped it.
Hi, my mother is 76 yrs old and has been taking a pill called Envas for high blood pressure control for 15 yrs now. It irritated her throat. So she changed to Amlopress (amlodipine) table - half daily - on another doctor's advice. Her blood pressure (systolic) seems to be rising every day. Yesterday it was 150/80 and today it was 170/80. She is active in managing her home - like cooking, washing clothes and so on. She doesn't exercise beyond that because of her knee arthritis.
5 mg Lisinopril: 40 mg Atenolol: 50 mg Omeprazole: 40 mg Aspirin: 100 mg She has no other risk, CHADS is "1". 1. Given her near-death bleed out, how safe is it to continue any blood-thinning therapy? 2. Are there any no problematic drug interactions with her medications? We are particularly concerned with some of the Atonolol’s side effects (i.e., the potential to develop type 2 diabetes, and unsteadiness when walking leading to more falls.
Had been taking Losar 25 (Losartan Potassium IP). Doctor increased the dosage to Losar 25x2 +Amlodipine Basilate 5mg. Still not much relief in the discomfort level. At random I have a kind of heaviness on my head, a feeling consistent with a person taking strong wine giving a post-feeling muscle pull on the face.(I do not drink or smoke). Also a kind of numbness is also felt at times. Discomfort or pain in the back and left side of head is felt (infrequent). Did an MRI Scan on 20 Jan 2012.

He takes bisoprolol hctz 5mg/6.25 and amlodipine 5 mg for high blood pressure. He has had his heart checked(they ran the dye) and no blockage.

I am using 2.5mg of Amlodipine (Calcium Channel Blocker) and 5mg of Bisoprolol(Beta Blocker) to treat my hypertension. I noticed when I took a calcium supplement that I felt real "hyper" and had heart races at night. I stopped the supplements but now I get the same reaction if I drink a large glass of milk. I also have side affects of reaccuring vivid nightmares. I have an upcoming physical, my doctor does not believe me.
She was then taking trilostane, enalapril, lasix, amlodipine and pimobendan. All the blood work was fine too. However, a couple months ago she started panting and eating excessively again. The problem is that between all the cardiologists and regular vet visits, exams, medications, e bad economy, money started being an issue. First we increased the pimobendan, but that didn't help at all.
He suggested to undergo an angiogram. Then, I checked with another cardiologist and he changed my carvedilol to amlodipine and again the BP was same. Then he changed to a combination of atenolol and amlodipine and my BP is fine. But I still have the uneasiness in the chest when I exert, but my BP is under control other than sometimes it goes to 150/100. My thyroid functions are normal. My diabetes tests are normal. My triglycerides and LDL are still not reduced.
i recently had a 48 hour holter for palpitations. i had 'minimally invasive ablation surgery' last year (three holes in the right side and a sort of pulmonary vein isolation) for atrial fibrillation. i was in sinus rhythm briefly after the surgery, but soon went back into afib. i was on amiodarone for about three months or four months and was successfully electrically cardioverted.
I have had an elevated blood pressure problem for the last 13 years for which I was prescribed 5mg of amlodipine tablets . About 4 months ago , my GP suggessted that I increase the dosage to 10mgs as my BP was hovering around 140/95 . He then warned me of the side effects ie swollen feet etc as possibilities . I noticed a slight increase in my selling on the upper side of the feet making it slightly difficult to slip on my shoes .
Since you cat has chronic pain (arthritis), it is probably a better choice for longer term, low dosage use. No drug is completely safe or without potential side effects. But given the particulars about your cat, tramadol seems to be a good choice with a good balance of effectiveness vs. side effects.
Hello Exforge is a combination of Amlodipine and Valsartin. A calcium channel blocker and ACE inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure. Possible side affects include indigestion as well as numbness and tingling of the extremities (feet and hands). I would call your doctor to describe these side affects so that he/she can assess the severity to determine if the medication needs to be stopped and changed to something else.
Initially was put on temisartan 40mg by Doc, used it for 3-4 months and later dosage was reduced to 20mg but later switched to another medicine, olmesartan medoxomil hydrochlorothiazide (20+12.5) and since then using the same tablet till recently My readings were pretty normal and infact my doc was convinced and wanted to reduce my dosage to only olmesartan medoxomil. Of late i have developed severe anxiety disorder and panic attacks, so started using Inderal 20 on the advice of Psychiatrist.
Could the trembling and weakness be caused by her medication? Should I ask the doctor to reduce the dosage? She takes Diovan, Celexa, Loressor, Amlodipine, Haloperidol, and low dose aspirin.
