amlodipine benazepril side effects

Had a large tumor and total thyroidectomy removed 3 weeks ago. The past few days having dull but strong headaches that go into my ear, down my jaw into my neck. I'm taking 100 mcg of Levothyroxine a day and 2 Calcitrol a day. My calcium was very low after surgery.

How do metoprolol, isosorb, and benazepril together, differ from, norvasc and lanoxin.

My dog was recently put on Benazapril for her kidney issues. Some of the side effects say it can cause kidney issues. Anyone have any idea what I should be watching for to differentiate the Benazapril side effects from her kidney failure symptoms? Anyone have experience with it? One of the side effects is also anorexia, and she is not interested in food today. I can't tell if this is because of the new meds or her illness.

-( 3 days on valsartan and I was having horrible side effects of dizziness, rapid heart rate, general feeling of crappiness, even slight shortness of breath with the slightest exertion None of which I experienced with the benazepril. Called the dr, he told me to stop the valsartan, don't take anything for 2 days and then back on the benazepril and see him next week.

I doubt this combination would be approved if it was dangerous. But all drugs may have side effects, and if you get bothersome side effects, you should report them to your doctor. Good luck.

My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.

The doctor still saw the need to put me on another medication, so now im taking Benazepril and Amlodipine. And at times checking my BP myself it has been down to like 127/80. Im only 24 and thats what worries me. I have a family history of High Blood Pressue big time. My Grandad and Dad both had it. My Dads was so high, at the time they couldnt even maintain it. Im also overweight. During my first visit to the doc I weighed about 250 at 6 feet tall.

I was prescrbed metoprolol 50mg and amlodipine 5mg. I have been taking this medine for a year. I have been regularly checking my BP ever since. It comes to 130/75mm/hg within a month. But Still I am taking the same dosage. My worry is : Is metoprolol and amlodipine safe to take?Since I am 38 only what would be its long term effects. That is taking the drug for over 30 years? Finally whether the dosage may be changed? Please help.

I was disqualified from a job process due to this medical condition called left ventricular hypertrophy. I take benazepril & amlodipine besylate for high blood pressure,and for migraines atenolol. I didn't know they were also used for heart problems. Is this condition treatable or cureable?

how much protein do you show in your urine? protein in urine could be a sign of progressive kidney failure. i am going to be taking a 24 hr urine in October 2009, hopefully the news is good. as far as the benazepril 10mg i haven't had any side effects...one of the most common side effects with blood pressure pills is a cough that could appear at anytime. also it is a good idea to keep your blood pressure below 130/80. sorry i took so long to answer.

Is there any light at the end of the tunnel? Is there a cleaner medication with better results and less side effects. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am desperate....

I have a 3.5 year old yellow lab that was recently limping, so she was taken to the vet and they did blood work and the blood work suggested Kidney Failure. Her creatine level was 4.1 and BUN/UREA 64 mg/dl. She spent 2 days in the ER getting fluids and medication. She's on amlodipine Besylate, Maropitant, prednisolone, doxycycline. She has struggled to eat, been very tired and isn't herself at all. Its been 4 days since she came home from the ER and she's slowly gotten worse.

I have taken as much as 200 mg of Metoprolol to slow down a fast HR... but it gave me too many side effects. I now take 50 mg of Metoprolol and have added a Calcium Channel Blocker to help lower my HR. So, my treatment reason is different than yours, but I share for whatever value you may find in my "story".

How long have you been on Losartan? 100 mg is a large dosage and it, too, can cause dizziness and tiredness... I was on only 25 mg for some time and I had some of those symptoms, plus weight gain/inability to lose, symptoms of a cold, etc... I no longer take it and no longer have those symptoms. It can also react with some of the other medications...

Since then I’ve read some very concerning info about the side effects on men as well as too many amlodipine toxicity. If my son were writing this I’m sure he would say that he would very much like everything to function properly as a young man of 27. What determines what type of blood pressure medication a patient is prescribed? Why does a doctor put a patient on a calcium channel blocker as opposed to a different class of BP medication?
