I have tried everything from high fiber diet, miralax, enemas, and I have been on Amitiza and Sentakot for three days and to no avail. I researched some on the internet and I am concerned that the gastrointestinal issues are from macrocyctic anemia (b-12 or pernicious anemia) from what I can figure from my symptons and blood work. What is the treatment for such? Whom would I see regarding this? What other methods will relieve the constipation? I am very miserable and feel awlful 24/7.

You're right, that Amitiza does not work. But, my friend I happen to have found something that does. I may be wrong but it seems like the medical doctors are only interested in my pockets. However, I talked to an herbal doctor and he suggest an all natural digestive assistant called ACOG Colon Cleanse. It is also called ACOG Herbal Master Body and Colon Cleanse. He recommends it to all of his IBS and constipation patiens.
I have done the doxycycline and a few other therepies that my gastrointerologist recommended. They would work for a while and then would get worse agan. I am now taking Amitiza and am doing pretty good with it. Though I have now started noticing a correlation to my menstral cycle and the onset of these symptoms. A week before i start my period I will stop haveing BMs. Completely. I won't go again until I start. And then I usually have to induce it somehow.
After all of this, I was told I have IBS-C and given Amitiza and sent on my way. I have educated myself on IBS-C and I do not have any of the symptoms/signs other than the constipation. I was in the hospital again on Friday. I looked 7 months pregnant, severe soft tissue pitted edema in my right leg. my stomach was hot and very tender, my hands and feet were ice cold. My bp was 104/64, body temp 98.2, pulse 64. They did a doppler and found no DVT, did my blood work and said it was fine.
m not sure how to gain some weight right now, trying so hard to eat. I actually ate 1/2 of a peanut butter and plum jam sandwich and a half cup of milk for dinner and don't feel sick. Feel too full, but not nauseous yet.
I can 'feel' the stool sitting on my pelvic floor, just no urge to move it. Although, as I said above, sometimes it moves into the anal canal and I do not feel that happening.

sometimes it feels like someone is squeezing my upper intestines and my rib feels like its popping in and out of place. my symptoms are weight loss, severe constipation, headaches, bloating, gas, and loss of appetite. Ive had and endoscopy, colonoscopy, cat scan, xray, multiple blood tests, allergy tests, diabetes test, fructose intolerance test, and stomach motility/emptying test and the doctors haven't found anything except lactose intolerance.
This was miserable I ended up on massive steroids weight gain blah, blah , blah. I am a chronic asthmatic controlled however gastroparesis hiatal hernia and myodysplasia. Those are my issues
Should I have the new laparoscopic fundoplication surgery, wrap recommended highly from my internist (whom decided after not recommending the procedure there is a new safer procedure laproscopically? He feels my lungs can take it and then I wouldn't requre the continued need of tons meds.
This is the time in your life more than ever that you should be eating healthy and exercising regularly. Expect to gain weight ; that is healthy and necessary for most women, but if the gain happens too quickly you MUST Work with your OB to ensure that you are as healthy as possible.
I would really listen to Alaysha's advice personally.. She's a model and one of the most stunning pregnant women I've ever seen, so I'd follow her rules for healthy weight gain personally lol.
I have taken quite a bit of different antibiotics back in May. I have stopped taking it a about 3 weeks ago, maybe longer and noticed that I have a hard time gaining weight now. I have had bad anxiety and depression as well recently which may have caused my appetite to go down drastically but when it comes back I start to eat a lot and it doesn't seem like I can gain weight like I used too.
