Common Questions and Answers about Ambien side effects neck pain

ambien

Avatar f tn ve been receiving therapy for it and its gotten seemingly better since the Vitamin D treatment but there was never an explanation for it. Also, I was diagnosed with Myofascial Pain Disorder during my neck period because I was also having TMJ. I just don't see how any of this is connected but I feel like there is no WAY someone my age can just have that many health problems.

Avatar f tn t have any of the side effects that some people report. Hopefully, someone with more experience and information can respond. Take care, dear, you are doing so well!
1246883 tn?1285547973 I immediately started to gain weight. And stopped the Seroquel immediately (mid Dec). I know this is one of the side effects. I gained about 5lbs. Being 5'9" and weighing 135, I felt the 5 extra pounds would come off with eating better and a few more yoga classes . But the weight kept coming. I got down to a dietary intake of about 1000 cals. But that mad no difference.
Avatar f tn But for the last yr or more I have been having the flu like symptoms, major body aches mostly in my upper torso, back problems and I have had every test imaginable done to figure out why I am in so much pain everyday. Some days are better than others. I am on cymbalta, lyrica, norco (pain), ambien, and vitamin supplements. I am so frustrated and so is my family because no one seems to be able to tell me what is wrong with me.
Avatar m tn Both,, zolpidem and temazepam.. zolpidem has a side affect of upper lower torso pain pain like E.R pain. Even if you report this pain to a doc. ? Get off it.

Avatar n tn The other common side effects of Ambien are headache, dizziness, mental clouding, daytime drowsiness and allergies. Hence, it is advised you visit your doctor if you are experiencing any such side effects. The drug is considered safe for a period of two to maximum six weeks for the treatment of insomnia. If taken for a longer duration, one may develop dependence on ambien. You should discuss with your doctor about the risks of taking ambient for 2 weeks or longer.

Avatar f tn Hi, is anyone else taking Gabapentin for nerve pain and are experiencing side effects? Since being on it for a week now I’ve noticed pain in my abdomen, neck, maybe even a little in my groin area too. Has anyone else experienced these side effects?
Avatar n tn i inserted merina 3 months ago, during the first month i started to feel many changes in my body, flushing. drwsiness, back pain, neck and shoulders pain,,,i removed it after the first month, in early november. but until now i feel pain in my ovaries, flushing, chest pain, hot and cold at the same time, back pain, i feel fire inside me, some times numbness in my head and hands, as if my body is too heavy,,,i started having panic attacks, and mood swings...
Avatar f tn Thanks for the info. I don't think I'll get over the anger or mood swings until I get off of ambien. I'm 29 days off of hydrocodone. I think ambien has the same side effects as hydrocodone. I just want to be drug free!!!
Avatar m tn ve not experienced any long-term side effects (that I can tell or that may possibly show in blood work) from being on the Ambien this long. Of course, if I've had a rough night of sleep (or not sleeping), I will definitely be more fatigued and drowsy in the morning, but that's more than likely more related to the lack of sleep or lack of GOOD sleep than it is the Ambien itself.
Avatar n tn Hi Frank, I think I understand what you are asking and saying. At least I hope I do. You cannot use Ambien as a pain medication or an anti-anxiety medication. Ambien and its generic form are designed to help you fall asleep. Ambien CR helps you fall asleep and stay asleep. There is some controversy surrounding it's side effects. There have been some reported nasty side effects such as sleep walking, eating, driving and even a few cases of homicide.
Avatar m tn I stopped the Zantac after about 12 days and on that day my neck started to ache like crazy. The day after I was in pain and had a bad sore throat, still dry coughing. Is this a side effect of the Zantac? Or is this a sign my throat is healing from never having taken this kind of medicine before?
Avatar f tn Is this a result of Xanax withdrawal, Ambien side-effects or sleep deprivation? It seems worse than anything I experienced during previous episodes of weaning off Xanax. I didn't have to go to work while doing this before so maybe that alters my perception somewhat. At this point I don't know whether to continue with the Ambien a little longer to see if things improve. (I've already experienced performing actions which I don't remember under it's influence.
Avatar n tn oh, you sound just like me!!! yes, narcotics DO wreak havoc with your sleep pattern....i was on lortabs for pain AND ativan ( a benzo, like xanax) for sleep.....my tolerance to both increased, but especially my tolerance to the ativan....i finally found a doctor who helped me taper completely off the ativan....i can't say my sleep is good now.....it really still *****....but i've just been prescribed "clonidine"....
Avatar f tn There are 3 nerves (TRI-geminal) in the face that will cause different pain in different locations. Typically only effects one side of the face. Treatment is difficult. Pain med. Anti-inflammatory. Soft foods, rest. Also drugs such as Tegretol (gradually increase of dosage, gradual pain relief) Gapepentin and other drugs typically prescribed. See a Neurologist. Feel Better!
Avatar n tn i've been taking ambien for sleeo for 20 years. 10mg/night. about 10 years ago i had a bad intestinal virus that left me with chronic abdominal pain.my ambien went up to 2/night, i was up and down with norco for years. i eventually kicked it when the negatives outweighed the positives. before i kicked i noticed that 10mg ambien taken in the daytime really works in relieveing the pain. so i used the ambien to help me get off the opiates, why?
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I have a question about recognising side effects. My bf is starting treatment with interferon (Pegasys) and ribavirin (Copegus) and we are both worried about side effects. The thing is that obviously he will be feeling them but I will not. While he can simply tell me about things like fatigue, pain, etc., the psychological effects may be more complex.
