Avatar f tn This is my first post on this forum. Was diagnosed with hep c 3a in April 2010. I am also HIV+. I am in week 11 of tx with Pegintron and Ribavirin. I had an RVR at week 3 and still undetectable at week 8. Just had blood drawn again on Tuesday so waiting for latest lab results. I am experiencing a number of the side effects -- fatigue, irritability, depression, hair thinning, insomnia, etc. I am managing these the best I can.
Avatar f tn I took the pill in the morning and after a couple hours the heart palpitations started again and have been present for 24 hrs. I called my doctor and the nurse said i had the symptoms of axiety but also said to stop taking the Lisinopril. I have not taken that pill in 24 hrs. My question is could the Lisinopril have caused the palpitations and could it take some time to go away or should i look into axiety. It just seems odd that none of this was going on untill i took that Lisinopril.
Avatar m tn At day 19 I thought I would be completely finished with these xanax wd's but they keep coming and coming. Late last night I watched a commercial about Lunesta and they mentioned that a common side effect was new or worsening depression. That caught my attention so I began to frantically research Ambien and every article I've read lists new or worssening depression as a common side effect. I've been taking Ambien off & on for the past 2 years..usually only 1/2 a tablet.
662361 tn?1225334507 Yes, I had been on various different anti-depressants (Paxil, Zoloft, Wellbutrin) at different times in my early 20's to mid-20's as a result of "situational depression" (I was in a Domestic Violence marriage at the time.) The Effexor and then later, Wellbutrin (along w/ Ambien) was Rx'd after a BAAaaaaaad reaction to Prednisone.
Avatar n tn Has anyone had the unfortunate side effects form Zithromax that causes heart racing and palpitations and did they go away on their own or require treatment.
12479014 tn?1425497672 I have been having bad heart palpitations for over a year now. My primary care doctor gave me an echo, an EKG and I have a stress test next week that I'm sure will turn up negative as the other tests have. I thought it might be related to the ambien I take to sleep so I asked the doc if we could try a different sleep aid, but I couldn't sleep at all on the new one so he put me back on ambien instead of trying something new.
Avatar f tn ve started noticing some heart palpitations. I went back to the doctor who did another EKG and found nothing wrong. The palps aren't constant but don't seem to have any noticable pattern. I started taking my pulse when I got them and my pulse was normal, not high. I also started getting very sensitive to light, again, not constantly and with no discernable pattern.
Avatar n tn I can't take Levaquin, as I had server heart palpitations. I would not take any more Levaquin, until you talk with your doctor. This sounds like a bad reaction to Levaquin. There are other medications to take but you will have to talk with your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn For the last 3 months I have been having severe anxiety and heart palpitations. Is it possible that the lexotan is causing this? I had ecg and bloods for heart and all was o.k.
Avatar f tn After two weeks of taking the pills, I unfortunately experienced mild attacks of tight chest pains, tremors, tingling arms, shortness of breath, anxiety and heart palpitations. I later found out from my endo that these were symptoms of an overdose (i.e. the same symptoms you can get from hyperthyroidism, overactive thyroid). A possibility of this may have been that I'm only tiny (4"11 and just under 8 stone).
Avatar n tn I just looked up eltroxine. It is a T4 thryoid medication. If they put you on to much T4 is can cause heart palpitations so I would defnetely call your doctor and see if he wants to reduce your dose.
1720325 tn?1327288656 I have had episodes of SVT for years and years as well as PVCs and PACs. I had a really bad episode of SVT that wouldn't convert and ended up in the ER getting adenosine. Dr put me on atenolol and it worked well for a couple of years and then just seemed to quit working. My heart went totally goofy, had a couple of episodes of Afib, one of SVT, PVCs got awful, PACs were awful...it was terrible. Dr.
Avatar f tn For the first few weeks I had no unpleasant side effects other than not wanting to eat and dry mouth. However, several days ago late at night (6 hours after taking my last dose) I experienced a rapid, pounding heartbeat which scared me. Why would I experience that 6 hours after taking a 10mg dose? And why would those side effects appear weeks after taking the medication with no problems?
Avatar m tn Then on the 4th day, about an hour and a half after my first short acting dose, I start to feel some chest pain, not exactly sure how to explain it because Ive never felt something like it before. I also experienced heart palpitations where my heart would race and then slow down over and over. That made me really scared because Im not sure why this was happening. Its mainly over on the left side, but sometimes in the middle. Im still able to function, it just scares me tremendously.
Avatar n tn I have had my Synthroid increased to 75 mcg and am starting to feel better after a huge battle with a lot of fatigue and neck discomfort to the point that it was almost impossible to drag myself out of bed or off the couch. Is it normal to have some heart palpitations as I get used to the higher dose even though it could be the correct dose or close to it?
Avatar m tn There is a possiblity for Bactrim (the antibiotic you are taking) to cause heart palpitations. If you are having heart palpitations accompanied by chest pain, it would probably be a good idea to call your doctor.
2010625 tn?1329372056 Have any of you had heart palpitations without feeling anxious, or with no anxiety attack? I did an experiment and took an Ativan (I only take them as needed) to see if it would make them go away. That was an hour ago, and no change they are still there. I have been to the doctors a couple times recently, and they saw nothing abnormal. I guess anything is possible, but this just seems odd to me??? So what do you guys think?
Avatar f tn I to have been taking it for years and I've always felt much better on it. I do good with it and I'm a super sensitive person. I find it helps me lose them extra pounds when I diet and exercise. I know it takes a bit to get into your system so I really don't think it would be causing your heart palpitations in just two days of taking it. I've never heard of a allergic reaction like that but maybe somehow it could be a side effect?
Avatar m tn Hi, Ok so here it goes.went to the doc a week before for lower abdomen cramps/heaviness along with urine problems after passing stool.he gave me three meds.one of them being an antibiotic moxifloxacin.i took it the first night and had diarrhea and nausea which was part of the side effects.panicked a bit but was fine the next day.the 2nd day I took it is when things went a little crazy!along with nausea I had severe weakness around shoulder area.my hands started to shake, have severe fatigue.
1098097 tn?1258142472 If he is experiencing an increase in heart palpitations while taking Florinef, I would recommend asking his doctor to check his Potassium level. Florinef can deplete the body of Potassium, which can cause all sorts of unusual side effects. Not to mention the fact that patients with Dysautonomia are notorious for being particularly intolerant to any electrolyte imbalance. The reaction you describe does sound a bit more like an allergic reaction though.
Avatar n tn Every month right before her cycle she has palpitations this last for about 5 days? Should I bring her to a heart doctor?
400867 tn?1371753094 I just started a medrol pack today and I'm having heart palpitations. I've heard that this can be a side effect of steroids but I wanted to make sure. Help! Thanks so much.
711158 tn?1229544700 I also have high blood pressure and have begun meds for that 1 month ago. My Dr said to expect some heart palpitations and some elevated BP results because my body is trying to get used to all the new meds. True enough my BP started elevating off and on so now I take an extra BP med at night to counteract this. On the 1st day I began this med, within 2-3 hours I had a sore throat on the right side only. Took a week to go away.
Avatar n tn Hi, and welcome. Since you had a work up and were cleared, yet you still feel a fast resting heart rate, you probably would like some relief along with your diagnosis. Go see a cardiologist for final clearance and bring your questions along. I take atenolol because I had a fast resting heart rate when I was young. The medicine took it from 96 BPM to 47 that night. It felt so good. Eventually I got used to it and now my heart rate is anywhere from 60 to 76 at rest.
