ambien kids

I just debated taking an ambien tonight, but after laying there for 3 hours worrying about how I was ever going to make it to work tomorrow, I took 10 mg. My doc gave me these about 3 months ago, as I work the third shift 2-3 nights a week and it's impossible to sleep in the afternoon with all my kiddos home! It really helped for the first month, then by the second month I would wake up after 3-4 hours, and just doze the rest of the night.

Went shopping, cooked dinner and made some fruit salad for the kids. I have no doubt my ambien addiction is behind me now. I really hope I get back some of the memories I lost. It use to be I could see a movie then see it again a month later and only remember only bits and pieces. 6 months later was like seeing it again for the 1st time. I always knew that was a side effect from the meds but it was a price I was willing to pay to sleep. I guess time will tell as far as that goes.

I figure I will run out about wednesday next week. My kids, unfortunately, will be on spring break. My husband has so thankfully offered to take thursday and friday off of work. I want to go camping with the family this summer and feel everything. Last summer I did now go without vicodin, just to deal with the heat when packing, the arguing kids, the messy travel trailer. I want to feel the cool morning walk I take with the dogs, the hikes we take with the kids that end up at a lake.

I can't wait until I'm finished with prednisone!! I should have taken the ambien but now its too late. Oh well..I've watched every episode of Dr Phil I had recorded. If the kids weren't asleep I would vacuum the house! Besides the sleep thing I think my body is finally getting used to the steroids. I don't feel so down in the dumps. I feel better about my diagnosis.

I have been taking ativan (1mg) twice a day for the anxiety and Ambien for sleep. I have four kids and work. Any advice on how to overcome the two issues?

I feel like I started w/ds last Monday when I began to taper.. It is now the following Sunday and have had bites off of one (Lorcet) that was left since Thursday (so very small) Since Thursday it doesn't seem to get better. I did get Ambien and used that during the day to sleep --- is that what maybe prolonging this?? My dosage was never over 5 a day and onlly for a few months. I feel like I am going crazy .... cry ....and am nocious.

Myt hubby is taking large amounts of Percocet and Ambien CR. He runs out of the percs in 4 days and is buying them off the street. He is taking large quantities of this. If he can not get Percs, he takes ANYTHING he can get his hands on. Same with the Ambien CR. He runs out of his prescription before he can get it refilled and is buying them off the street. He will not go for help and it is 3 years now and he is crunching about 5-10 percs and 2 ambien a day.

I/ve been taking percocet (7.5/325) 3 times a day as directed. I've taken them for a little more than a year now for pain related to two herneated discs. I never take more than prescribed. They work, but it seems as though I have trouble sleeping. If i don't take an ambien, it seems as though i don't get tired until 1 or 2 am. Is this normal when taking percocets long term?

I sent my wife a long email to her at work and explained how sorry I was and How I know her and the kids needed me but this dark time I am in is to strong and it has pulled me in etc... I am sure lots of you here understand...Anyway I was in a daze from the pills I remember waking up at the hospital thin king I was in another life it was weird..My kids saved me from going all the way I just kept looking at pictures and thats why I decided not to take 30 plus pills at once...

Hi stalion, I do have insomnia, but I am afraid to use Ambien, because I have kids to in the house, and I am always kind of prepared to handle an emergency, etc. What I do, is I always stay out of the bed, until it is time to sleep. I take my last dose of pills, with some food, take a relaxing shower, if I feel grimy, and force myself to lie down around 11-11;30 pm, same time everynight.

Nausea and some cramping of stomach/esophagus continued to this day. I was given Ambien for sleep and discovered that 5mg of Ambien is the only thing that takes away the nausea. I have tried Phenergan, Zofram, Librax and Ativan.....all to no avail. My doctor says he has now idea why Ambien works. I do not have a history of any dependence. I have never smoked, drank alcohol. or used pain medication other than Tylenol.

Hello, I have finally realized after 40 years of "sleeping aids" that I would like to restore my natural sleep, if possible. I was taking 4 mg of ativan (way too high), as well as 10 mg ambien for insomnia. I managed to taper off the ativan using valium when I got to the smaller doses of ativan. Now I am done with the valium (as of August 1) but am still having rebound insomnia and jittery feelings. I still take 10 mg of ambien at night to sleep, but it isn't really working.

How do you get through an Ambien withdrawl? I was taking up to 7 a day> shaking,sweating,nausea and my mind feels drunk. R there any non-addictive meds to help the detox?

I'm 16+2 my dr prescribed me ambien..I'm scared to take it as I've seen what it does to my mom...anyone not have bad side effects like sleep walking, sleep driving or hillucinating?

I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby. Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep. No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.

then 30...and so on until its 5 then jump off. I have ambien,rozerem scripts myself but stopped the ambien and made it a once a week or less thing because it can be bad news. You might want to see if the Dr will switch you to say lunesta and see if you can use that while getting off ambien or when you tapered low enough to jump and switch. Good luck.

r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture? all 3 drugs aggravate depression and out of the 3 ambien is categorized as the least addictive of the three drugs u r taking.....i would talk to my doctor and find another alternative for sleep....taking these every night could get u into trouble..have u tried the natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, etc?

Does anybody hae any comments about ambien? That stuff is crazy.... when I take it I find myself calling people and having intense conversations but the next day I can't remember anything. I can't even remember going to bed. But if I don't take it I can't fall asleep...

I couldnt sleep last night and took an ambien for the first time in awhile and I have to say those are bad pills.
