ambien

Avatar f tn i have been using ambien for many years now. i used the ambien and it's generic form zolpidem. it has always work up until two months ago when apparently the pharmacy changed suppliers. i took the little round purle pill up until then and now i take a white oval one. This one does not seem to be working as well and the side effect just seem wierd Does anyone think that the new manufacturer product is inferior and has anyone experienced this?
Avatar n tn Recently, my doctor added Trazodone 100mg to help the Ambien work. Can anyone think of anything that would work like this?
492921 tn?1321289896 I do not respond to generic Ambien the same as the brand Ambien. I would recommend trying the brand, if you can afford it. It can make all of the difference. I am so, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and your post traumatic stress. Sleep will be very important in your recovery, so I hope that you can get this resolved. I would not recommend using xanax for sleep, however. What dosage are you taking?
Avatar f tn It was a new purscription but was told by someone this information "I work for a primary doctor if your doctor will write you a script for lunesta in a generic form your insurance will pay for it also they will pay for ambien in generic it's alot less cost he should give you aleast a 30 day to see if it will help.
Avatar m tn My wife has been Zolpidem (generic Ambien) for 20+ yrs. She recently took a job in China and has been told the ultrasound show 'fatty infiltration of the liver'. She is 50 yrs old and drinks only occasionally and excercises and eats well/healthy for the most part. Could her long-term use of Zolpidem have contributed to this liver problem?
Avatar m tn Things that help me with it are physical activity on a regular basis during the day, good sleep habits like a regular schedule of going to bed, white noise like a fan, a cool and dark room, not eating or drinking too much before bed. Sleep aids are helpful short term for some but I've always tried to stay away from that. So, your doctor prescribed you something. Have you ever considered melatonin? That's something that lots of people can take successfully without side effects.
Avatar f tn This was an issue when Ambien went generic. Many of the generic zolpidem formulations don't work. You can find forums on the internet where people talk about finding the generic zolpidem that is the exact same formulation as the original Ambien tablet.
4945970 tn?1361450429 Might as well get used to it cuz your not gonna get sleep when baby comes so just look at it like your being prepared for after baby comes, take a Benadryl that's really the only thing that's safe for baby that will help you sleep, but it makes baby sleep too so if you don't feel him move that's probably why
Avatar f tn It is a blister pack that you have to punch the pills out through. The last week is green pills. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Avoid this stuff. It does not work like real ambien. I threw it away. Same goes for another Indian off brand called Zolfresh. It also came from Mumbai. It won't kill you; It just doesn't work. Thumbs down on meds from India.
Avatar n tn Ambien (zolpiedem) helped me. It works quickly, doesn't give a morning hangover and is pretty cheap as it's available as a generic. I haven't tried the Ambien CR (time released, non-generic). Only thing about ambien is that, for me, I wake up after about 6 hours. But those 6 hours are pretty solid sleep.
Avatar n tn Within the past 2 monthes of consistently taking it, I have had a rash that started on my head, then chest and went to my stomach, groin, sides, back and then arms and legs. Some look sorta like ringworm and some look like bug bites. I started taking benadryl and using hydrocortizone cream, but did not stop the Ambien. The rash eventually got better, although, it still has not completely faded. About 2 weeks ago I got a boil on my finger and now I am getting another one.
Avatar n tn I agree..sleep medicine is just a short term fix. But i do have an underlying condition, fainting upon standing and a lil faster heart rate. I am also tiny, i have low blood pressure. But everysince i was diagnosed with my condition, i have been having alot of sleep problems. I did see a sleep doctor, he said most of my insomnia is psychological and the other is because of my condition. he did recommend a sleep study after a month of therapy.
Avatar n tn No, you're in no danger with that low a dose of Ambien and a glass or 2 of wine. Actually, it's like 2 glasses instead of 1, or 4 instead of 2. I wouldn't go too far, though, because in LARGE Doses, it could be dangerous, even fatal By Large, I mean like 6 pills and 6 glasses of wine. So, whatever works for you. Consider tolerance, body weight, etc.
Avatar m tn For the mood tracker, could you please add Ambien or its generic Zolpidem to the list of medications currently listed?
Avatar n tn If you are taking ambien too constantly, then your brain simply cannot sleep without it. With it, it sleeps like normal brain without ambien, which means that it could be addiction.Try not taking it for a week and then take 10mgs and see what happen.
Avatar m tn I do not know if it would make any difference in your case or not, I was on Levo (Generic) for 6 months, My levels never changed, my TSH was 6.2, my endo took me off of Levo amd put me on Synthroid (Name Brand) and my TSH dropped to 0.078, Some do better on one or the other, my endo told me that the generic was not as consistant as the name brand.
Avatar m tn I might be needing something like 160 mg of Vyvanse. I am also on Wellbutrin and Ketamine now for depression. I take Ambien and Lorazepam to fall asleep. I know there is a link between the stimulants that I take during the day and the sleep aid pills at night. I wish I could stop the Lorazepam 4mg because it is useless most of the time , and it is making me depressed. I am on 20 mg of Ambien. I know I am on high doses of meds. I am trying to decrease them and get to better more stable state.
Avatar m tn Ambien sounds strong also and I read it makes you do some incredible and possibly dangerous things in your sleep. I do have a couple sample pills of both ambien and trazodone. Is there any harm in trying one for two days, wait a day and try the other the next two nights just to see what works best?. Would one .25 mg. of xanax taken every other day, or even every night at say 2 a.m. be habit forming should I go that route?
Avatar m tn i also was perscribed ambien, i felt worse after taking it so i am living with the insomnia.
Avatar n tn Treatment with Ambien may cause side effects like impairment of thinking or reactions. You may still feel sleepy the morning after taking the medication. In patients with liver disorder, a smaller dose of Ambien is generally prescribed. Ambien addiction is a serious problem requiring treatment. The signs of ambien withdrawal are insomnia, fatigue, sweating, stomach cramps, and panic attacks.
Avatar f tn Hi Ray....I agree w/ed34. Warfarin is generic for Coumadin. Since it is the generic for brand Coumadin it is given in same dose. Mom took Warfarin for the 1st three months after her event. Month four, the pharmacy was temporarily out so I took brand name Coumadin (more$$, of course ;-) but it was the exact same dose. Month five, she was back on Warfarin. Best to you...
Avatar f tn Good for you George, I have this problem but I wake up every 2hours. I travel so much with my work that my sleeping hours are never consistent. For that reason I never use a sleep aid. At only 5mg of Ambien a day I don't think you will build up a tolerance to Ambien anytime soon. Glad you can get some sleep anyway, I never seem to get more than a couple of hours a day.
