Ambien cr generic available

Common Questions and Answers about Ambien cr generic available

ambien

Avatar n tn Ambien (zolpiedem) helped me. It works quickly, doesn't give a morning hangover and is pretty cheap as it's available as a generic. I haven't tried the Ambien CR (time released, non-generic). Only thing about ambien is that, for me, I wake up after about 6 hours. But those 6 hours are pretty solid sleep.
Avatar n tn It's also available in 10 mg and ambien CR
763205 tn?1234422576 I have been taking Ambien/Ambien CR for several years now. I switched from the regular Ambien when the Ambien CR became available. Two nights ago I took my nightly migraine medications and my Ambien CR. I remember being awake for about 45 mins after that and then I remember nothing. Some how I was unconscience when I took 8 more Ambien CR 12.5 mg. I remember nothing after that. I went on a wild rampage in my room and destroyed everything in sight and I do mean everything.
739988 tn?1386672969 I feel for you, my doctor give me Zolpidem 10mg which is the generic for Ambien. There is also an Ambien CR. If you get it read the warnings carefully as its a very contravercial medicine. No not take at all if you are prone to sleepwalking! Safety first. I hope you get some much needed sleep. Sweet dreams.
Avatar n tn Ambien CR does come in 12.5 mg -- I have some. the regular ambien does not, but ambien CR does. just clarification.
Avatar f tn I had that situation with my Ambien. I was taking the Ambien CR, which was working quite well for me because I not only have trouble falling asleep, but also have trouble STAYING asleep, so the controlled release was a good fit for me. Anyway - they covered it for a while, but once a generic form came out for the regular Ambien, they stopped covering the CR and will now only cover the regular 5's or 10's.
Avatar f tn Once it was with Prevacid when it was still only available by prescription (but apparently the OTC version was close to being approved so they stopped covering it) and the third time was with Ambien CR - they used to cover that, but have stopped covering the CR and will only cover the "regular" ambien since there is a generic form of that available.
Avatar n tn which are written on the subject, and the association, or side effect of short term memory loss, while using, and apparently even after discontinuing Ambien CR 12.5 tablets! I've been taking Ambien 12.5 MG tablets, or its generic brother, " ZOLPIDEM TARTRATE 12.5 MG SA Tab" for a couple of years, for two problems; which are difficulty sleeping, primarily because of pain associated with my spinal cord injury, and likely anxiety.
Avatar f tn I started taking Ambien & Prozac in Oct 2009. I started building a resistance so my doctor prescribed for me Restoril, that didn't work so she started me on Lunesta. After I started building a resistance to the Lunesta my doctor prescribed for me Ambien CR 12.5mg. It's now March 2010 and I need 4 or more Ambien CR to sleep. I can't sleep without it!!! I haven't taken the CR 12.5mg in 24hr and I have the common addiction symptoms.
Avatar f tn Then a visit to my PCP for the Orthostatic Hypotension and he told me to go off those two drugs and gave me a script of 3 days with 1 refill of Ambien CR to see how I would react to that. After the 3 nights I started sleeping 18 to 20 hours of a 24 hr. period plus felt completely out of it. A call back to him and he said he just didn't know why I was doing that and suggested I should talk to my psyche about it which he was supposed to have done.
1102799 tn?1269237714 Fairly soon my Ob-gyn switched me to Ambien CR 12 mg and this worked quite well (1/2 at night and 1/2 in the middle of the night) - I definitively prefer Ambien CR to regular Ambien. PS: be careful if you try to switch to Lunesta, a friend of mine did that and he started to sleepwalk!!
763205 tn?1234422576 How many pills did you take after going back and counting the tablets? It's not uncommon for people who take ambien or Ambien Cr to not remember doing something. They fall asleep and don't know they're sleeping, so the end up taking more pills because they don't remember taking the 1st one and the cycle keeps on going. I've heard horror stories of people racking up credit cards, diving and cooking while on Ambien.
Avatar m tn i have been on clonazepam for many months and ambien cr i am having problems with thinking straight, and i believe it is the clonazepam not the ambien cr.
Avatar f tn If you use it to help with withdrawals such as insomnia, that's what it sounds like you asking, you're only substituting another drug in place of the other(s) . Then again, it's probably worked as a 'bridge' for some people to make the withdrawal easier. But as mentioned above, it is addicting and often just prolongs the process more.
Avatar m tn I started taking Alprazolem for anxiety 15 years ago. Since then I only take .5mg at night to help me relax and fall asleep. I now find the the 1 pill at night is not helping me sleep. So I started taking Ambien CR and stopped taking the Alprazolem. I'm sleeping great, but feel terrible in the morning. I feel nausea and tingling numbnest in my arm and face. Do you think its from the Ambien or from me stopping the alprazolem. Any advice?
Avatar f tn Then, 30 minutes before actually going to bed I give him Ambien CR. The regular Ambien was not working at all. Ambien CR on the other hand seems to calm him down and there has been less action. I also placed a body pillow between us and that seems to curtail some of the aggressiveness. It gives him less space to move around and I feel safer. Yes, he speaks while he is asleep, (more of gurgutal sound than words) but it has come down a bit.
Avatar n tn I was on the Ambien CR for a while and that actually seemed to help more, but unfortunately, my prescription insurance coverage stopped covering the CR, I'm guessing because that is the only Ambien formula that does not currently have a generic form. I have tried both Sonata and Lunesta also for sleep. The Sonata did absolutely nothing for me and the Lunesta gave me wicked hallucinations. My doctor also tried me on trazodone, but it had the opposite effect on me and made me super hyper.
Avatar f tn t said if he is taking Ambien or Ambien CR. The Ambien CR helped me MUCH more than the regular Ambien. Of course I never slept the whole night through but a few hours then I'd wake up about 2 but I was able to go back to sleep usually even if it was several times a night. Good luck, I've never been much of a good sleeper but if it gets that bad I would seek out a sleep clinic doctor place - he could have sleep apnea or something that is compounding the situation.
Avatar n tn s generic brand for help with sleep (versus the standard Ambien, etc. and other 170 different OTC and RX that are available). I did not see Seroquel on the list and see that it is mainly for manic depression/ biopolar disorder, etc. Thanks.
Avatar m tn Ambien Cr. I've been off Methadone for two months now and still can't sleep. Actually I now fall asleep about 6am and wake up about 2pm. Totally screwed up. I plan on getting back on it. Its the best night sleep ever and it will knock you out for the night time withdrawals. It gets better, hang in there.
Avatar n tn My husband has been on Ambien CR for 9 months. His sleep doctor prescribed this for sleep apnea. Is this really safe? He is supposed to use his CPAP machine along with the meds., but he has not used the machine in months. Is this really good, safe intelligent treatment for sleep apnea?
Avatar f tn i have been using ambien for many years now. i used the ambien and it's generic form zolpidem. it has always work up until two months ago when apparently the pharmacy changed suppliers. i took the little round purle pill up until then and now i take a white oval one. This one does not seem to be working as well and the side effect just seem wierd Does anyone think that the new manufacturer product is inferior and has anyone experienced this?
Avatar f tn m taking the Ambien CR and THANK GOD FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!! I tried regular Ambien and had 2 nights in one week that I only got 2 hours of sleep... which didn't help with the depression or Riba Rage. I still wake up often, but am able to go back to sleep now. I have no problem with feeling bad the next day. I'm on Effexor for the depression. My feelings about the sx: Right now the most important thing is to kill this dragon... whatever it takes.
Avatar f tn Have you tried also taking Tylenol before bedtime, to keep the pain from waking you up? I tried Ambien and Ambien CR, I sleep well with it but it gives me horrible day-long headaches the next day so I've stopped taking it. I take a Clonazepam and a Benadryl before bed, Tylenol too if I think I need it, and sleep pretty well most of the time. Lately the dreams have been wild, though!
783281 tn?1259691431 Look at all the posts of the shear terror, blackouts and horror Ambien and Ambien CR facilitate. I would bet that your EXTREMELY rare comment gave many struggling addicts an excuse to take more drugs. Look what happens to your sleep pattern after you take those for a couple weeks. Please, re-consider your advice, you may have directed someone down a road other than abstinece. Recovery is not about managing drugs, it is about managing your life without drugs.
