I don't know anything about ambien, but i just googled it and the answer is yes by what I read. I am just going to copy this until you get some more feedback. This lady was complaining about stomach pain also. Hope this helps.
I started getting bad abdominal pains, but it took a long time before I made any connection between the Ambien and the pains. The pains were very localized; I could point to the exact painful spots. At first, there was a painful spot right below my sternum.
Within the past 2 monthes of consistently taking it, I have had a rash that started on my head, then chest and went to my stomach, groin, sides, back and then arms and legs. Some look sorta like ringworm and some look like bug bites. I started taking benadryl and using hydrocortizone cream, but did not stop the Ambien.
The rash eventually got better, although, it still has not completely faded. About 2 weeks ago I got a boil on my finger and now I am getting another one.
Ambien addiction is a serious problem requiring treatment. The signs of ambien withdrawal are insomnia, fatigue, sweating, stomach cramps, and panic attacks.
You should consult your doctor to seek appropriate professional treatment if you want to discontinue Ambien. You should not attempt to stop taking them on your own.
I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it.
I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!
When I was using I was also prescribed ambien. My stomach was always a mess. I even have acid reflux and take prescription meds for my heartburn but even they didn't help when I was using prescription pain meds and ambien. So I argree with Vicki, you will feel better and your stomach issues will probably cease if you got off of the pills. I can tell you for a fact that it worked for me.
At day 19 I thought I would be completely finished with these xanax wd's but they keep coming and coming. Late last night I watched a commercial about Lunesta and they mentioned that a common side effect was new or worsening depression. That caught my attention so I began to frantically research Ambien and every article I've read lists new or worssening depression as a common side effect. I've been taking Ambien off & on for the past 2 years..usually only 1/2 a tablet.
He was given Fiorinal for the headaches and then fiorcet instead because the Fiorinal was making his stomach hurt. Now he is taking Ambien for sleep and has decided to discontinue the useage of the Fioricet because he thinks this too is making his stomach hurt. the dr. put him on Prevacid for his stomach but it does not seem to be helping. What can I do and what should he do because I am at my wits end. he keeps missing work too.
ve read scary stuff regarding that. Ambien sounds strong also and I read it makes you do some incredible and possibly dangerous things in your sleep. I do have a couple sample pills of both ambien and trazodone. Is there any harm in trying one for two days, wait a day and try the other the next two nights just to see what works best?. Would one .25 mg. of xanax taken every other day, or even every night at say 2 a.m. be habit forming should I go that route?
is there a contraindication between ambien and melatonin?
i am in a constant brain fog during the day and always tired. I have horrible vivid dreams from the ambien and have been known to have conversations and parttake in activities i have no recollection of the next day and that to me is frightening. My husband tries to watch my closely because i have even cooked meals under the influence of the ambien and have forgotten to turn off the burner of the stove and on more than one occasion he has found me outdoors.
Hello! I asked about the shot thing when I started too. I was told lots of people only used one or the other throughout tx. Some people actually preferred the thigh.
I am on week 32 and have used my stomach the whole time. It's much easier to pinch an inch on my stomach.
I have told people over and over about my experiences with ambien (sleep driving, sleep eating, and hair loss). It made me lose all grips on reality. It also destroyed me physicall and mentally. I wished I would have never heard of the c r a p. I have been clean from it for 6 months and I hope I never experience anything like it again. It was my fault because I wasn't taking it as prescribed. Whatever you do, only take one at bedtime.
Kudos on your clean time. I'm clean 15 days. I too have sleep problems. I've always had sleep problems, but after WDs from vikes I REALLY have sleep trouble. I have a script for Ambien. It's the lesser of the two evils and easy to use as prescribed. I take a melatonin and 1/2 of a 10mg ambien (I use pill cutter) I then quarter the other half. I wake up to go to the bathroom about 4 hours later and take another quarter. So far so good.
Yes, I was prescribed ambien from my addiction doc and their is not contraindication according to her. This didn't work for me as I took ambien a long time while addicted to opiates. I amnoe presribed Rozazem 8mg. Not helping me either. My tolerance to benzos and opiated are really high! Try the ambien 12.5 time released and by God, don't chew them or they def will not work long.
Hi plinko. Tylenol has two active ingredients, acetaminaphen and pseudoaphedrine, along with an antihistamine. The acetaminaphen is not addictive, and pseudoephedrine by itself is not considered addictive either- and antihistimines are not physically addictive, contrary to what some allergy sufferers may believe.
Ambien, on the other hand, definitely poses a risk for addiction.
I'm with Tony on this one. If you are able to take it and go right to sleep then i don't see why not. Me personally, when i was prescribed it, i would take it, still not be able to sleep and then i would be all wierd and not even remember any of it. i have never developed a tolerence to ambien and have used it off and on for over 10 years///i still take around 2.5 mg and it works...it is not a drug to take and "stay up"..it is designed to be taken right before u get in the bed...drinking on it is a no no as u will black out.....and people do abuse it..take it a stay up and party and stuff...how i do not know as i am asleep 10 minutes later
U r taking 3 drugs...r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture?
A week ago my husband got ambien from his Dr. to help him sleep. He was suppose to take it for 7 days but after 2 days decided to stop. He was having some depression when he started taking this and I don't know why the Dr gave it to him. Since the last day of Ambien he hasn't slept, his personalily is so different, and is having some short term memory problems. Does anyone know if this will get better and when?
