ambien

Avatar n tn and my RLS but not often, if I take the two meds, Mirapex and Ambien too close together I get terrible spasms, it feels like Restless body and not just my legs, so I take the Mirapex around 9PM. and the Ambien when needed around 10PM.
1591337 tn?1297101349 When i feel the symptoms resuming, i simply lay on my side, get into a very tight fetal position, really stretching the back and legs, hold for 2 minutes, release, and symptoms disappear for about 24 hours. I blelieve it is the stretching of the back that is doing something. I am now on a mission to tell as many people as possible. Ionly wish i had discoveed this many years ago. So many years of suffering!
Avatar f tn it took me a good 6-7 days or so before the restless in my legs and arms stopped. Hang in there. Oh, i tried ambien too... i would hide your computer & your cell phone before u take it. I had several occassions where i would find out the next morning that i was sending emails and texting random people with stuff that made NO sense while I was sleeping! lol I also ate entire box of cinnamin toast crunch at some point in the middle of the night & do not remember at all!

Avatar f tn I can NEVER take any OTC sleep aid because it gives me horrible restless legs!! Prescription Ambien is the only sleep aid that doesn't. Benadryl is the same, causing bad RLS!
Avatar f tn I know I can make it withouth the oxys, usually within one day I can get off them, but what will happen know is the sweating will increase and then the seizing of the body, the restless eggs, and then no energy. I have the potassiams, i have stocks to put about my restless legs, lthyrine, magnesium, thomas symdrom stuff, vitamin b-6. Amazing how I can get off the oxys but my hurlde is getting off the percocets. So much to do, bills to pay, etc.
Avatar m tn I have RLS even without the hydrocodone withdrawal restless legs. I have taken Requip for that in the past. Right now, I'm without insurance and can't afford to get it, but it helped. However, the restless legs from the withdrawal is worse because it's all day long! I have found that a quarter of a pain pill calms them down. But then that defeats the goal of getting off of the pills...
1335947 tn?1275685447 Hi, gunsmith and welcome to the forum !! you should start feeling better in the next two days but the arms and legs jerking would take some more days , it's called Restless Legs syndrom ( RLS ) and the same with sleep...it will take some more days.. but there are some stuff you can take to help you with RLS...there is an OTC remedy called Hylands to take at nights, you should also take some magnessium+calcium suplemment and drink apple juices, tonic water...

Avatar n tn If you want to stop Ambien, do so but there are alternative drugs to Ambien. One of it is Elavil/Endep. It has sedative effects and is non-addictive. Ambien is intended for short-term use. You can discuss this with your doctor and ask for substitute drug as you want to do off with this. Also get a sleep test done to know present status. Do continue taking Omeprazole. Keep updating your thoughts. Take care.

Avatar n tn http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=1415 Here is one article I found for you regarding restless legs and magnesium: http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Bookshelf/Books/23/126.cfm Supplemental magnesium is helpful for migraine. Omega-3's in fish oil supplements are helpful for migraine. Here are two references about that: FISH OIL FOR MIGRAINE http://www.headaches.org/consumer/topicsheets/fishoil.html Alternative Headache Therapies http://www.emaxhealth.com/110/3039.
Avatar f tn At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.
867787 tn?1318936230 Hi Dr. Park, I'm going to see a neurologist soon as my family doctor strongly suspects that I have MS. My problem is that I'm having terrible bouts with insomnia. I take Requip & Zanaflex nightly but they don't seem to help. The meds do help with restless legs & muscle spasms but I was told that they would help me sleep also. I wore a moniter all night while I slept but my results were ok. I have tried ambien & over the counter sleep aids & nothing seems to work.
Avatar m tn got in Jacuzzi, soaked for 10 mins , then took the drink, waited 5 mins, got out went to bed, and 20 mins later , arms and legs jumping and had to get up. I just am not tired when I go to bed, so I lay there for the 10 mins or so with no symptoms, hoping I can fall asleep, then slowly the jumps creep in and I have to get up. Sitting here ,pretty much symptom free from the oxy, depression not bad, but got to deal with the restless legs.

Avatar f tn Anyone here experiencing restless legs? I'm 8 weeks along and have only experienced restless legs prior to pregnancy when using sleeping pills. Now it seems to happen many nights, though not as severe as when I used to be medicated. I know baths help, but those are not always a possibility. Anyone know of other things that might help?
Avatar f tn Does anyone else suffer from restless legs during their pregnancy? I'm 11 weeks, and wake up at night feeling like my legs are in an electrical socket. I have to get up and walk around all night and it's awful! I had this with my 1st pregnancy but definitely not this early! Is there anything to do to fix it?
690549 tn?1288882721 I also failed to say that the standard meds for restless legs--requip (generic is roprinole) and miraplex are readily available and usually not at all difficult to get prescribed. They help a LOT!! Reduces the obnoxious feelings sometimes by half!
Avatar m tn It's been 2 weeks for me, I sleep for about 2-3 hours at night. Wake up around 3 with my muscles killing me. Something about lying still aggravates my brain :-/ Been thinking about trying the hyland stuff. But I have been taking magnesium and potassium and they aren't helping too much. When the rls wakes me up I don't fight it tho.

Avatar f tn My friend is a sports therapy doctor and he told Mr to do this. I have restless legs really bad and painful cramps. Take a 15-20 min walk before bed and then drink two 8oz glasses of tonic water. They get a Lil achy still but the pain has lessened so much that I usually get up to only tinkle in the night.
