Avatar m tn m sleeping great, but feel terrible in the morning. I feel nausea and tingling numbnest in my arm and face. Do you think its from the Ambien or from me stopping the alprazolem. Any advice?
Avatar n tn Here it is two weeks later and I still have nausea and pain that only reslolves with Ambien and Zofram. I went to see a gastroenterologist at Mayo Cliniic in Phoenix. He was puzzled too about why the Ambien works, but told me to go ahead and take it if my pain and nausea was bad. I am going back next week for an MRI and have had a test for pancreatic cancer which he said was just a "rule out", not that he thought I had it.
Avatar f tn Depends on everyone. My mom took it. She hallucinated, sleep walked and sleep drove. My husband took it. He rambled and talked all night and didn't remember a bit of it the next day, but he was tired all day. I took it a long time ago and I didn't care for it. It made me feel stoned and sick and also tired the next day. I'd probably try benadryl instead. That stuff knocks me out.
Avatar f tn My dr told me Unisom is safe. Im at 22 weeks and have been taking it regularly. It has helped me a lot.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am in my 6th week of riba, sovaldi, olysio. My doc said MMJ was fine and an edible for would be preferred. I had not tried it but she didn't say anything about it interfering with the meds in any way. I am very nauseous. Most people point to the riboviron as the culprit and I mostly hear that sovaldi and osysio don't have side effects. I have had, pain, insomnia, headaches and several more. I've tried the MMJ and it helps with nausea an appetite, sleep and pain.
Avatar n tn Nausea and some cramping of stomach/esophagus continued to this day. I was given Ambien for sleep and discovered that 5mg of Ambien is the only thing that takes away the nausea. I have tried Phenergan, Zofram, Librax and Ativan.....all to no avail. My doctor says he has now idea why Ambien works. I do not have a history of any dependence. I have never smoked, drank alcohol. or used pain medication other than Tylenol.
Avatar n tn Can any one tell me the proper way to ween off ambien CR12.5 mg and xaxax 0.5 mg 2x a day on and off for about 8 yrs?
Avatar n tn Ambien addiction is a serious problem requiring treatment. The signs of ambien withdrawal are insomnia, fatigue, sweating, stomach cramps, and panic attacks. You should consult your doctor to seek appropriate professional treatment if you want to discontinue Ambien. You should not attempt to stop taking them on your own.
Avatar f tn m lucky if I get 2-3 hours a night even with the Ambien. Hardly worth the indigestion they cause. Also worse is the nausea. I hate the RLS, and nausea most of all. Thanks for the clue.
175734 tn?1225134440 I was having lots of memory loss and neck and back pain while on the Ambien. I quit (2) days ago and i feel alot better. Can't sleep so good yet ( rebound ). Hope this wont last long.
1194973 tn?1385503904 I know that I was in the hospital, for kidney stones when I was pregnant with my daughter and one night they asked if I needed help sleeping and I said yes and they gave me Ambien....I didn't think about it until after I had taken it and I was like what?! a sleep-aid?! and then I was asleep and didn't budge until the next morning, lol. I know of at least 2 other women that were prescribed Ambien during pregnancy for OCCASIONAL sleepless nights...maybe you could look into that?
Avatar n tn Since Saturday I am racked with anxiety and pain. Nausea and diarreah I can deal with but the spinal tension and pain are almost unbearable. I called my doctor and told her about this. She prescribed Darvocet and Ambien which I have taken. 2 Darvocets Monday and one today and one Ambien last night. I dont want to take anything!!!!! Can I expect the Darvos to help with the withdrawals? If I only take one or two a day will they be easier to quit?
Avatar n tn Thanks for the advice...i also had bad experience with ambien...vomitting and nausea. I am going to my doctor today to see what else she can give me...i will ask her about the ativan.
Avatar n tn Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.
Avatar f tn My wife and another female relative have taken Ambien (generic) for years, and it still seems to work/help. I do not know what the W/D part of your subject is about.
Avatar m tn I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!
1568041 tn?1311615212 Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year, then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However, anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.
Avatar f tn Hello mom and welcome. Heroin and ambien are both central nervous system depressants. Taken together it is very dangerous as they both depress the respiratory and central nervous system. How old is your son? Does he live with you? How long has he been Abusing drugs for?
Avatar f tn At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.
Avatar n tn She is sleep/wake having conversations she doesnt remember and and having conversations with us that did not happen, Sleep walking, cleaning.... Is this common and should Ambien be prescribed to teens with PTS?
Avatar f tn His doctor is now on vacation and has no one who knows his history. I dont want come doctor to prescribe him ambien or somehting like that...any thoughts or recommendations? must be non narcotic....please help! thank you so much in advanced!
18070169 tn?1463175914 Yes, we have pain receptors in our backs and a hypnotic drug like Ambien affects those receptors. We call it "rebound pain". It gets intense at first, and with time (I know, there's that dang word!) it will settle down and get better. You're doing great! I know 2 family members on Ambien and they have been on it for YEARS!! So glad you are getting off of it. It's a difficult feat, but you will be so proud of yourself when you look back on this time. P.S.
Avatar m tn It's been six nights for me, and I've yet to sleep more then about 1 3/4 hours at a time. And by 4am, I seem to be pretty much done with what little sleep I'm going to get. Six days ambien free, and I don't sleep worth squat - the nausea and dizzyness is mostly gone, but the anxiety can be unpleasant and keep me awake. I try to close my eyes, and they twitch and I can't get comfortable. I drift off and then I jolt awake 10-30 minutes later. Does any of this sound familiar?
