ambien and mucinex

What is this about Mucinex and Robitussin? I have heard something about Robitussin, but paid absolutely no attention because it was several years ago. Could you explain it to me? I took yet ANOTHER Neg. test this morning....

Cant take anything in first.trimester and in sencond and third only tylenol products, benadryl, claritin. That is about it. Ia asked three docs and pharmacy a few weeks ago. I am super snotty. Always sneezing and blowing my nose. Apparently its common in pregnancy.

m safe and it seemed to help a little just made me really tired though I have an upper respiratory and sinus infection..

My doc just called me since im super sick and told me only mucinex d and Tylenol. Im 16 weeks.

ve come across several women who took Mucinex or Robitussin to help thin out their cervical mucus. I was wondering if anyone has really tried that and if so, was it successful? Please give as much details as possible so that I can get a better understanding of how that works with the process of TTC. Thank you!

Benedryl is best. Its a class b drug.

I recently read that someone is taking mucinex along with trying to get pregnant...does that work with conceiving?

Does Mucinex help thin your cervical mucus like the Robitussin is supposed to. Its active ingredient is guaifsen (sp?).

I am 30 weeks pregnant, would it be safe to use maximum strength mucinex fast max severe congestion &cough? I called my doctor while I was in the store looking &the nurse said mucinex is fine to take but then I read online it's very dangerous &I have already taken 2 doses :/ so worried right now just wondering if anyone else knows for sure.

I started this cycle on clomid and mucinex, like robitussin, it helps thin ur cm so it's easier to conceive, still waiting for AF so not sure if it worked this cycle or not...but I've heard lots of women using them together since fertility drugs sometimes make ur cm more thick and harder for sperm to swim thru...

Well, that would depend on each person. I like mucinex to keep mucus flowing. It thins it. They also tell you to drink a lot of fluids as well to help keep mucus thin. the reason why that is important is because if it is thick, it's more likely to stick and clog and that's when it can fester and become a secondary bacterial infection (bronchitis, sinusitis). For a cough, I use Delsom which is an otc cough suppressant.

For the past week I have been sick and just ignoring it. Yesterday morning i took some mucinex D and went to a high school wrestling tournament. An hour after taking the medicine i felt the pressure in my head get really bad and i fell to my back. Things started to get darker and my body got very tingly. I thought I was going to have a seizure or asthma attack or just die on the spot. I was like this for about 15 seconds saying i needed an ambulance.

Has anyone tried Mucinex and it worked to increase CM...has anyone gotten pregnant after trying this??

Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.

I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!

Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year,then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However,anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.

Hello mom and welcome. Heroin and ambien are both central nervous system depressants. Taken together it is very dangerous as they both depress the respiratory and central nervous system. How old is your son? Does he live with you? How long has he been Abusing drugs for?

At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.

She is sleep/wake having conversations she doesnt remember and and having conversations with us that did not happen, Sleep walking, cleaning.... Is this common and should Ambien be prescribed to teens with PTS?

Thanks a lot for the help. I am pretty much sure I'm going to the doctor next week. I really hope it's not asthma. It did seem as though mucinex helped out a bit. I was able to jog another mile and a half yesterday just fine. I'll look into your advice. Thanks!
