The biggest thing for me was those first couple days where I had rebound pain, it made it seem like my pain was so much worse than it actually was. I can get up, pick my kids up physically and play with them (still babies but the lifting has been a problem for me for a long time) without making my pain get out of control.
Also~ Ambien has a rebound effect as well, it's in the side effects warning.
He will not go for help and it is 3 years now and he is crunching about 5-10 percs and 2 ambien a day. Can someone explain to me what the affects of this combo will be and what damange is being done. I am at my wits end. Maybe if I can tell him the damage he has done, it will get him to go for help! He has overdosed 5 times in the last two years and they have been bad. I am afraid one day I am going to find him dead or he is going to have organ failure.
A nurse is going to come to our home next Friday and show my husband and I how to do my avonex injections and I found out after 200.00 deductible all I will have to pay is 40.00 a month. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be! Cant wait until this weekend. We are going to have one WHOLE night alone...no kids...just the 2 of us for our anniversary. I hope it is ok to have a couple of drinks with the prednisone. Wish you all a good weekend!
I just debated taking an ambien tonight, but after laying there for 3 hours worrying about how I was ever going to make it to work tomorrow, I took 10 mg. My doc gave me these about 3 months ago, as I work the third shift 2-3 nights a week and it's impossible to sleep in the afternoon with all my kiddos home! It really helped for the first month, then by the second month I would wake up after 3-4 hours, and just doze the rest of the night.
Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.

Well today I woke up at about 4:30 am, did the dishes, started the laundry as I am supposed to do before the kids get up for school, and I feel great. Is this just one of those "highs" while coming off vicodin, or is this really me? I hope it is. Actually, I was reluctant to go to my sons baseball play off game last night because the social aspect just seamed too much. I got there, minded myself for a while then was a me a total jabber mouth and had great time!
I took 5mg on Wed night which helped get me thru the night. Last night was bad with RLS even though I had Xanax and ambien. I hate Xanax and the way it makes me feel so I'll stick to the ambien at night. I would like to take another 5mg tonight but don't want to set back the withdrawal. Do you think I would be setting the withdrawal symptoms back if I did this?
2 to 2 days of w/d before and I would just ache all over and be sooo depressed and nauseous, rls, of course insomnia. I do have a few ambien, for depsperate times, and I got some velarian root which I have already tried and it works well for calming down to sleep. I hope it works for rls so I don't have to take the ambien every night. I also bought and have tried the L-tyrosine, and B6 vit.
It has come to a point where I need to medicate myself with several different medicines in order to fall asleep. I usually take Ambien 10 mg and I take two od those and sometimes Xanax 1 mg. I have noticed that Ambien doesnt really help much anymore. I just feel weird when I take it. Sometimes when I dont take anything to sleep and I manage to fall asleep, I have very vivid dreams and nightmares.
Even after taking medicine, I dont usually fall asleep until 4 am and I am up at 8 or 9.
I want to quit taking xanax and ambien. I have been on both for a few years. I also take Subxone.
I take 12.5 mg of ambien and .5mg of xanax 2 or 3 times per day.
Can I quit cold turkey without? I have heard xanax withdrawal can cause seizures,, but am not sure if my dose is high enough to worry about that.

It could be a side effect of the Ambien. Are you experencing these symptoms just in the morning or all day?
Try not taking the Ambien for a few days and see if yor symptoms improve and if they do, you'll know the cause.
I started taking Alprazolem for anxiety 15 years ago. Since then I only take .5mg at night to help me relax and fall asleep. I now find the the 1 pill at night is not helping me sleep. So I started taking Ambien CR and stopped taking the Alprazolem. I'm sleeping great, but feel terrible in the morning. I feel nausea and tingling numbnest in my arm and face. Do you think its from the Ambien or from me stopping the alprazolem. Any advice?
I have told people over and over about my experiences with ambien (sleep driving, sleep eating, and hair loss). It made me lose all grips on reality. It also destroyed me physicall and mentally. I wished I would have never heard of the c r a p. I have been clean from it for 6 months and I hope I never experience anything like it again. It was my fault because I wasn't taking it as prescribed. Whatever you do, only take one at bedtime.
