Ambien and excedrin

Common Questions and Answers about Ambien and excedrin

ambien

Avatar f tn should i fill it or let it be? I have horrible pms and will need something for it when it hits! Is ambien alright to take to sleep also?
Avatar m tn Where does it hurt? Try the excedrin migraine first I've tried Tramadol for headaches and they don't help me but we're all different. Can it be allergies? Yesterday I had a BAD headache all day mostly at the temples and I took 2 excedrin migraine with an alleve sinus pill and it took it away. It's tough, I know your pain all too well. Is it a headache or a migraine?
Avatar f tn i recommend just getting some otc sleep aids, like maximum strength unisom liquid caps or some excedrin pm. ambien is also very addictive and if you have problems sleeping now you will really have probelm sleeping while detoxing off narcotic sleep aids. how long have you been taking these? you may already be somewhat addicted and may need to taper off. more people will be around to help in the a.
3837157 tn?1348286069 I took a .5mg Xanex for anxiety about 12 hours ago, but now have a killer headache and want to take an Excedrin for it. Will there be any complications or has the Xanex worked it's way out of my system yet? 21 year old male, about 290lb, don't drink, haven't smoked in a year, no recreational drug use.
Avatar f tn I hate the not sleeping part. It's been a little over two months for me and I still have to take ambien for sleep and sometimes that doesn't even get it. I take hot baths, and sometimes I'll just start writing and maybe do it for a couple of hours, but I'll tell you what it helps me sleep.
Avatar f tn The fact the headaches are severe and respond to Excedrin and not the others is some suggestion it could be migraines, but mild ones as you don't report blurry vision or nausea and migraines are really bad headaches.
Avatar f tn Good for you. It is zero and below here and I hate anything below 50 degrees. I try and move in the house a lot but don't have the energy for projects yet. I know the energy is going to come back and I am trying but I hate winter. I remember a life when running the dishwasher etc was rote... now it's an accomplishment! I ditto your KEEP MOVING... Have a great tomorrow....
268911 tn?1213744781 I am wondering what, if any, stomach problems some of you may have had due to pain pill usage. In a VERY WEAK effort to try and taper myself off of norcos I started using Excedrin as a pain supplement and I'm thinking those pills are behind my current situation. These Excedrin contain more acetominephen than the Norco's I'm taking. I've been taking the Excedrin, 4 pills a day, for 6 months and now I have lower abdominal pain that wont go away.
221913 tn?1372276661 I hate sleep aides too and have tried everything but after a bad ambien experience i decided no more and now I sleep when I can, day or nite. I am old and retired so I do have the luxury of sleeping when the urge comes. I also take 3 ribas in the am and 2 in pm and seems alot better. Tomorrow I will do the AM injection of interferon and see how that works. Today I woke up at 9:30 AM which was the best I have done in months. Insomnia is the biggest drag of sx.
Avatar f tn i woke this morning with the worse headache every(i get them everymornign from the sub) and my throut hurts, so bad, and so on and so on. i am 29 days clean today. i feel like someone ran opver me. i hope it goes away by at least saturday. im not trying to feel like this on my wedding day. my head feels like someone hit me in the head with a hammer over and over again while i was sleeping. i hope everyone else is having a better day.
Avatar f tn I took it because my leg is getting worse (it goes through spurts where it will be bearable and then not) and the Aspirin/Tylenol combo in the Excedrin sometimes helps more because I usually go straight to Motrin, and rarely take Excedrin so my body isn't as used to that one. But along with the much needed energy, today it like made me oddly happy, too.
Avatar n tn I was addicted to Ambien and Cloranzepam and got off both of them by slowly shaving a bit of the pill away every three days. It takes a while but is possible and it made it bearable. I, too, wonder how I will manage my migraines without it. I also have 3 herniated discs in my neck, C4-C6, and the Fioricet helps with the neck spasms and pain. Any suggestions on how to handle the challenges without Fioricet? Getting off of it has to be totally.
Avatar f tn I suffer from migraines and get relief from a drug called Amerge. I also take an AD, xanax, and Ambien for sleep. These drugs can be taken in tandem with the Amerge, which I only take when I have an attack. I'd suggest that you go to a neurologist who specializes in migraine, so they can determine the type of migraine that you have...there are cluster headaches, for example....one type of migraine....
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to the forum. I used excedrin migrain n it worked for me. Congrats on wanting to get clean. There is support here, but we also stress aftercare. It is essential to longterm recoverty. Good luck n keep posting!
Avatar f tn Well, ive been to 3 different doctors about my problemfor the past 6 months ive had these weird headaches every single day. They usually start in the morning when i wake up and i get this noise in my ears i hearits hard to explain how it sounds but its kinda like the noise you would hear when you listen to one of those big seashells from the ocean its kind of like that in a way.
Avatar m tn To relieve them, I have taken 2 Excedrin (asprin, acetaminophen and caffeine) and one Claritin-D (before Claritin came onto the market, I was taking something else but I don't remember what it was). They would occur 3 or 4 times a year. They have been steadily increasing in frequency to the point where they occur every other day. My "cure" is always the same, 2 Excedrin and 1 Claritin-D.
3215224 tn?1345829226 I have been taking excederin for at least 20 years. I get up in the morning and take two and take two around three or four o'clock. I have been trying to quite by either cold turkey or taking one in morning then one in afternoon. but i always end up back to taking 2 in morning. I have cut down in the afternoon tho. I have been experiencing some itching and hives with cold sweats.Does that sound right.I also am going threw metapouse. I am on 50mg aday of Pristig.
Avatar n tn I have battled an addiction to Excedrin for almost 15 years now, and can't seem to stop it for good. Is anyone else struggling with this? If so, have you had any success in weaning yourself off?
Avatar m tn I would be on and off of them. I now have been taking excedrin migraine medicine to get rid of the headaches and give me a boost of energy since it has caffeine. The problem is it works good but even though I eat something before I take it, about an hour or so later I am nauseous. Why does this happen if I eat like it says. Does anyone have any insight into this. Thanks .
Avatar n tn Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.
Avatar n tn I used a TENS unit that I purchased off ebay and put it on my lower back and it helped wonders. If you are unable to attain one a massager helps too. I have an eletric wand that I would plug up and lay on my belly and stretch the cord so it would lay on my calf. It helped quite a bit,but the TENS unit was better. I wish I never let my brother-in-law borrow it because outside of it helping my herniated discs in my neck I had hell with withdrawals last pm.
Avatar m tn I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!
1568041 tn?1311615212 Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year, then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However, anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.
1930941 tn?1400107522 Hey, congrats on 27 days, that's wonderful! I agree with ImDone and Ricart, Excedrin and Tylenol are excellent. I suffer from chronic migraine and if the pain is too bad my Dr. prescribes Toradol (not Tramadol) it's non-narcotic and it's great for pain, if you're not allergic to aspirin maybe you can give it a try.
Avatar f tn Hello mom and welcome. Heroin and ambien are both central nervous system depressants. Taken together it is very dangerous as they both depress the respiratory and central nervous system. How old is your son? Does he live with you? How long has he been Abusing drugs for?
Avatar f tn At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.
Avatar n tn She is sleep/wake having conversations she doesnt remember and and having conversations with us that did not happen, Sleep walking, cleaning.... Is this common and should Ambien be prescribed to teens with PTS?
