Ambien and drug testing

Common Questions and Answers about Ambien and drug testing

ambien

10 at once? yes, that is bad. i have been taking ambien for a couple of years and only take 1/2 of a 5 mg at bedtime and if i wake up i take the other 1/2. i am now totally dependent on the damned things to sleep, but the alternative is worse since i have a very demanding job etc. you better see someone about this prob. of course, they will probably prescribe a different sleep med or anti-anxiety med to wean you off ambien.
I DO take Tylenol #4 (codeine)2-3 times a day, Ativan 2-3 times a day, and Ambien, and NONE of those showed as detected in the test. The doctor was very rude and acted like I was purchasing street drugs or something, and even after I told him repeatedly I was not taking the "detected" drugs, offered to show him my prescriptions, he still insisted that "HIS TEST WAS NEVER WRONG".
Rozerem is good because it is not addicting in any way, and works differently than either ambien or klonopin. Ambien can cause just the kind of symptoms you describe, but there is also some underlying anxiety to deal with, probably related to the other health problems, so what you should expect is a good opportunity to talk through your current fears and life situation with someone who can help you understand what is going on below the surface.
I just found out that I am 6 week pregnant and I am worried because I took ambien, prozac (20 mg), cold medicine, claritin (allergy meds) and I drank a few beers over the holiday. I also had a dental xray. Should I be worried???
How in the world could Interferon or Riba cause a false positive on a drug test? While they are DRUGS they do not have any of the components that they are testing for (ie: morphine, pot etc)? It's not like vitamins can give a false positive or antihistamines or anything. You will be FINE as long as you haven't been using (which on tx would be a suicidal thought really pretty much).
Zolpidem (Ambien), Methylphenidate (Concerta), Clonidine, and Strattera. First, I do not believe my son should have ever been diagnosed w/ ADHD, I have done the research and written a paper as well as currently going through a publication on an article with my wife (not my son's mother) who is an assistant professor of counseling mental health.
Hi, My boy friend was diagnosed with hep c about two months ago. i was tested the day after his diagnosis and was negative with the "pcr" and the regular anti body test..but then I was told that there is a 'window period" of about two weeks, so i waited , but was reluctant to get re tested too soon..i was planning on being re tested two weeks from last monday but then he kissed me on the lips and i had a small abrasion, break in the skin.
Actually I am kinda relieved to be off the RO study drug and taking a week break from Pegasys. I think I can stay on SOC easier and have confidence that it will be affective. Now excuse me while I salve some intensive repair cream on my feet and legs and take an ambien pill in hopes to get some sleep. Oh ya I think that a couple of ibuprophen might take the edge off while I go to sleep.I will shave my head tommorrow it is starting to thin out pretty good now.
Either of these factors could explain memory problems, and I have a friend with similar issues (he said he's averaging maybe 5 - 5 1/2 hours/night of sleep), and he doesn't take Ambien. Ambien is the one drug I've found that lets me get to sleep when I'm stressed (believe me, I've tried about everything out there), so I don't know how I'd be able to give it up.
Due to the inability to sleep, she started using Ambien on September 28th. Other having a low number for Hepatitis C and the above items, she has been feeling fine. Could there be anything related to the pregnancy that would cause her to have a positive test for opiates. She was an acitve user for the time prior to January. Any ideas are welcome- we are very confused and concerned.
Substances Causing False Positives According to a report by the Los Angeles Times New Service, a study of 161 prescription and over the counter medications showed that 65 of them produced false positive results in the most widely administered urine test.
as for the drug testing, i'd worry about that when the time comes....just focus on the job interview process for now, and IF drug testing comes up...i believe they are looking for different drugs than you have in your system.....and you always can mention you have just sucessfully come through 'chemo'....which you have...
namely Ambien and Remeron might be lowered were I to have this on board, and getting an inhibitory bump in the process makes more sense. I'm concerned also about the remeron as it has some action on the P450 chromosome, though I haved been able to find out much about how much safer tetracyclics are than SSRI's the whole family is these classifications has me concerned. So wouldn't an antihistamine be a better choice from that standpoint as well, as far as P450 goes?
I also take Prilosec (20mg/day), Lexapro (5mg/day down from 20), Singulair (10mg/day), and Ambien CR (12.5 mg/day or I can't sleep AT ALL). I'm wondering if one of my meds is causing some of these symptoms since I quit drinking. I also wonder if I may be having vision problems and seem to be light and color sensitive. I wear new prescription glasses (I got about the time this started) and have some blurred vision.
dannie, do you think you are hypo? I stopped the ambien for about a month and got no relief.
ok, my doc initialy said when all this thyroid startrd was she was trying to figure out my depression lack of energy so she checked my throid levels and they were just a little off and said i was hypothroid, that was almost two years ago and i started with 25 mg a day in the morning and then my throid level dropped, again i wasnt paying attention to the numbers on whtat test, i had no cause for concern, shes my doc, i figired shes the one with the degree so i just did what she said so, in any ca
I tried playing the drums real hard and gettting all sweaty an taking a hot shower and about 4 advil and some aleve. And I STILL feel cravings. And I don't want to EAT although I am kindnof hungry. I HAVE GAINED LIKE 25 LBS AND AM NOT GOING DOWN THAT ROAD AGAIN. I am tryig to lose the weight now. Maybe that is not helping but I can help it my cloths are almost not fitting and inhave no money to buy more.
You have a wonderful reason to do it now and it can be revolutionary for you.Think- a healthy baby and no drug habit! If you come off the Vics in one month (reduce by one per week), the baby should be just fine and you will be able to focus on enjoying your pregnancy guilt free. I'm no doctor but your habit is small and I have a friend who was prescribed Tylenol #3s for severe back pain while pregnant.
Yes, call the pharmacy and ask about a home drug test, they are available. One way to tell if he's high on percoset, look at his pupils(eyes). They will be pinpointed. He may also be very manic, mouthy, and slurring depending on how much is in his system. He may have spells of vomiting if drinking alcohol with them- I sure do. Nodding out in the middle of a conversation is a really bad sign as well. You better get this boy under control quick before the law gets a hold of him.
I feel that I am a relatively tolerant person, but to me a line was crossed there, and I also asked the admins for an IP ban on K2. Frankly, between the continuing flaming, I mean drug-development debates and K2's seemingly innocuous but in reality mean-spirited and damaging posts, this site has, for me, lost much of its credibility and usefulness. What's next? Maybe we should invite Thanbey back, haha. Or maybe she's here already??!!
I took the first dose the day of my appointment, and the next day I woke up thankfully without a migrain, but to my suprise without any backpain. I had researched the drug before taking it and didn't see anything about pain, so I went on the internet and finally found some information regarding Topamax being used for neuropathic pain, simularly to Neurontin. Well needless to say I'm thrilled.
I documented all the thyroid lab work before and after treatment. I went and had metabolic testing to test my BMR and it measured normal for my age and weight and I was symptom free. I then tapered myself off the thyroid and within 2 months all symptoms returned and metabolic testing once again was done, and BMR was extremely low. Back on meds. normal. You know your body best and I am not afraid to put the research in front of a doctor's face. The human body is not black and white.
I had the same thing with the Yaz. I was on Yasmin and switched to Yaz and promptly gained about 5 or more pounds. No problems at all with Yasmin, and I was on it for 5 or more years. I still work out like I did on Yasmin, and I've never eaten a lot, although, the Yaz does make me hungry all the time, and I can't seem to get rid of this bloating. I spot constantly and cramp. I have another friend that is the same way.
I have spent the last 8 mths with lots of muscle weakness, fatigue and tremors, plus a variety of other health symptoms incl a cardiomyopathy, respiratory muscle weakness (on lung function testing) and chronic anemia. I have just been told that I have a pineal tumor, most likely cyst based. If you go to the UCLA neurology website, you can find good info and my neuro was happy that was the site I had found and brought along with me, he had trained there and felt it was good info.
protracted withdrawals, they call it. People Ambien, Lunesta etc..get the same reactions. They are closely related to Benzo's and are now included on the Benzo help websites. Are you taking one of these? Have you done a 4x saliva Cortisol? It so much sounds like some kinda drug induced/or withdrawal thing. It sounds as though you have been medicated for years on many things and it can take it's tole. Are you taking any meds now?
cant breath well sometimes ,, i went more than 20 doctors .. i make blood test and mri and city scan , and ear test , and testing the o2 in the blood .. all is normal resault ,, then i went to the final doctor he said to me that you have enxiety and panic attack .. so i started to take cipralex 10 mg and he gave me xanax .25 mg ..
I'm just wondering how many of us are agoraphobic and to what extent. I know that I am and fight it all the time but make sure that I do leave my home most days. I have a very dear friend who hasn't left her home in almost 7 years. She has had all kinds of therapy and has tried SSRIs and other meds but is now VERY meds phobic and even with the CBT she finally gave up and just stays home. I'm wondering if there are others on this forum who are like her or are the majority like me.
I did not have to take it - I just had to monitor my blood sugar often and control it - really well with diet. - Has anyone had any expereice taking this as just a weight loss drug and are their serious side effects - if your not a full blown diabetic? My doc mentioned nothing about PCOS - I was recently 2 weeks late with my period (not preg. and tests showed not peri menopause)...I'm really nervous taking this stuff...
well, most likely you signed a paper when you started seeing your OB agreeing to random drug testing. It's a clause that most OBs slip in there and most women don't notice. SO there's a slight possibility that they've been testing your urine all along.
