Ambien and blood sugar

Common Questions and Answers about Ambien and blood sugar

ambien

Avatar n tn 30 I was bouncing in the bed and he gave me o.j and sugar. He said I bit the cup. Once EMS was there they gave me a tube of glucose and checked my sugar which was 53. Could this have been caused by me taking wellbutrin and ambien?
1355301 tn?1287967641 It causes reactive hypoglycemia and at night my blood sugar would drop instead of staying stable like a normal person. Once I began medication for the insulin resistance my blood sugar stays more stable. I don't remember my dreams except when I get my period. When I get my period it is very difficult to control my blood sugar. Maybe when she ups my meds this coming month it will help. You may want to look into insulin resistance and see if it sounds like your symptoms.
Avatar m tn I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!
1139187 tn?1355706647 Other possible causes of tremors could be overactive thyroid (possibility in your case), Parkinsonism disease, alcohol use, certain medications, alkalosis, and low blood sugar. Sometimes previous injury may cause pinched nerve and may be a reason of tremor but this possibility remains low. Therefore, it is quite essential to thoroughly assess the all possibilities here with the help of a doctor. Treatment will completely depend upon treating the underlying cause. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn go to MayoClinic.com and type in Tinnitus, they have some real good info about why, what and where to find some help.
Avatar m tn The nurse that came in the ambulance did checks on my heart and blood sugar etc and said there is no need for it, i should go eat because sugar was low and she said i just should take care of myself.
Avatar f tn I have been off Norco for five weeks (CT) after being on it for 10 months. I had knee replacement surgery in December. I switched to taking Lunesta about ten days ago after taking Ambien for three years. I don't know if that switch is trading one thing for another - but I guess I became much more aware of ALL drugs after a few days on this site. I took Xanax for the first two weeks after I got off the Norco and know it helped very much.

Avatar f tn Does blood sugar gets higher as u progress in ur pregnancy?
7631083 tn?1394352887 For the past week or so there has been a couple of times where I feel very weak and my hands start to shake. I know it means my blood sugar is low so I will try to hurry up and eat something. Its sometimes when I first wake up and there are times when its in the middle to late at night. I'm 36 weeks and 4 days. I should probably tell my doctor when I go in on Friday or should I be more worried about it and do something now?
Avatar n tn i have 121 sugar fasting how i controlled and avoid this problem please i am depression from last long time and always in tension
Avatar n tn Hello, Definitely your blood sugar levels are raised. First of you need to start exercising and do brisk wals for atleast 45 min per day. A diet that includes fruits, vegetables, fiber-containing foods, and low-fat milk is advised. Consumption of foods with a low glucose levels appears to reduce postprandial glucose rise and improve glycemic control. Reduced calorie and nonnutritive sweeteners are useful.
Avatar n tn I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
1448460 tn?1284694467 Prednisone does tend to raise your blood sugar and you should do what you can to keep it down as much as possible. You did not mention if you are on insulin or pills or just diet control. Considering you are only taking prednisone for a very short time, you shouldn't have too much to worry about. If your blood sugar is at that level for a longer period of time that may bring about some damage. Exercise more, if possible, definitely drink lots more water and really watch your diet.
1058898 tn?1275675151 told me to watch my blood sugar because im having symptoms of hypo. I notice my blood sugar at night between 2-3 am are over 120 and my fasting blood sugar in the morning is over 100. When i get the fealing of low it is around 80 and it will keep dropping. the last time it went to 67 and i had to eat some thing i couldnt wait. i had a cup of oj and checked in 15 min and it went to 137.
Avatar n tn You cannot buy insulin over the counter without a prescription, nor can you buy syringes needed to inject insulin without a prescription. So you first need to go see your doctor. I would do blood tests before each meal and at bedtime each day until your doctor's appointment and write down the numbers that you get on your glucometer.
233552 tn?1228319699 I went to the doc today and he gave me my results....my blood sugar is 217. I knew that this would happen again but I wanted it to wait another month or two. My doc is going to put me on a diet after this weekend. I told him that you can't put a pregnant woman on a diet and he laughed right along with me. Then he said oh yes I can. Silly doctors. Baby's heartbeat still in the 160's and get U/S next month to find out what I'm having and I can't wait.
Avatar f tn Hypoglycemia/ low blood sugar would be considered blood sugar levels less than about 70. Your result of 103 is normal, not hypoglycemia. It is likely that your symptoms may be from other causes. Sometimes headaches can be a sign of not drinking enough - so a glass of water and a few minutes to relax / be quiet - may help a lot. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn i am not diabetic but for some reason, for the.oast couple weeks i have been monitoring my blood sugar and its all over the place. the highest ive noticed was 281 after a big dinner and 2 minutes later it drops down to 113. any other ones are like, 232, 158 but i dont feel anything weird in my body at all. but my blood sugar when i woke up yesterday morning was 97 that was before breakfast. pls if u know anything about this, give an advice on wut to do.
Avatar f tn Anything with carbs is going to spike your blood sugar. If your trying to stabilize blood sugar, I would recommend eating lots of protein and vegetables. As for carbs, choose the healthy carbs or brown rice and more slow digesting carbs. That way your blood sugar won't rise as high or fast. I'm type 1 diabetic and pregnant, so u have been testing blood sugar like crazy for a good amount of my life.
Avatar n tn My blood sugar is higher before i eat then it is 20 minutes after. today it was 482 before and 299 after?
Avatar f tn But this morning I got really lightheaded and a headache all of a sudden(which I know is normal in pregnancy) but I checked my blood pressure again to see if that was it, and it was perfect. So I checked my blood sugar and it was 79, I had just had a fruit smoothie. The medical assistant at work told me it was low, and then another told me it was slightly low. My question is does anyone know what it should be? I go to the Dr tomorrow so I will ask him, but I'm just curious.
Avatar f tn Every time I eat I become so shaky and weak that the feeling is that I could start fitting (I'm sure I wouldn't, but that's how I feel). I just feel so extremely strange. I had a vegetable pastry thing and baked beans for lunch, and I've been like this for hours. It's making me not want to eat as anything triggers it. It is really a very horrible feeling. I have been on 150mg of Pregabalin for nerve pain and 60mg of Ranitidine since December 2011.
