ambien and beer

i just started taking depacote,lexapro ,klonopin and i take ambien for sleep...is beer occasionly going to be harmful?

drank 2 beers over past4 hours and took an ambien. feeling a little more stable. tomorrow i plan i beer and then 1 ambien to sleep. lots of water!! I would love some other advice about getting through the weekemd. I had to leave work early because I was shaking so badly.

I'm not sure how long you've been using ambien. I used it for 9 months while on pain management with vicodin. I'm now off of both, but much to my surprise, the vicodin was much easier than the ambien for me to kick. I kicked vicodin cold turkey in February and started an ambien taper mid-march. I just finished with the ambien taper. Ambien can't be stopped suddenly; depending on for how long and how much ambien you've used.

t sleep on treatment. Many people take and took Ambien for insomnia on hepatitis C treatment. I never took a sleeping aid before treatment. I don't know how I would have survived treatment without taking Ambien every night to sleep. Took Ambien through treatment...had no need to take it after treatment and haven't. Looks like there is still a need for rescue drugs. If you want to call them that. Zofran, anti-depressants and Ambien have there place in Hepatitis C treatment.

I found out that I am 8 week pregnant on 4/23. Mixed reaction. Prior to conception, I had immunization shots (Hep A, Hep B (1 booster only), Typhoid, Polio) - around 2/19. Traveled to Asia on 3/2. In March, during the first few weeks abroad, got the cold; took 1-2 pills of Tylenol (Cold & Allergy) & Nyquil. Took 1/2 pill of Ambien one night. Had a chest X-ray on 3/11 (immigration purpose). Was drinking 1-2 small glasses of beer or wine daily for about 2 weeks in early March.

Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.

I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!

Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year,then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However,anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.

Hello mom and welcome. Heroin and ambien are both central nervous system depressants. Taken together it is very dangerous as they both depress the respiratory and central nervous system. How old is your son? Does he live with you? How long has he been Abusing drugs for?

At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.

I was on the verge of going to an EP for an ablation when I discovered a web site on a symptom that I also had (Ambien and Gerd) that mentioned Ambien use could lead to PVCs. I was prescribe Ambien and had been taking it for about two years. Within 48 hours of stopping Ambien my PVC's disappeared. I mention this because I am sure many people are taking Ambien (or similar drugs) that might be triggering PVC's. Explore all options before considering ablation...

She is sleep/wake having conversations she doesnt remember and and having conversations with us that did not happen, Sleep walking, cleaning.... Is this common and should Ambien be prescribed to teens with PTS?

It has come to a point where I need to medicate myself with several different medicines in order to fall asleep. I usually take Ambien 10 mg and I take two od those and sometimes Xanax 1 mg. I have noticed that Ambien doesnt really help much anymore. I just feel weird when I take it. Sometimes when I dont take anything to sleep and I manage to fall asleep, I have very vivid dreams and nightmares. Even after taking medicine, I dont usually fall asleep until 4 am and I am up at 8 or 9.

Hi, I was just googling Ambien and Lexapro and read your question. I take Ambien here and there, since I have trouble staying asleep, and have recently become severely depressed and got some Lexapro from a friend, (I know not the best thing to do, but... such is life), but wanted to know if you had any issues taking the two.

I want to quit taking xanax and ambien. I have been on both for a few years. I also take Subxone. I take 12.5 mg of ambien and .5mg of xanax 2 or 3 times per day. Can I quit cold turkey without? I have heard xanax withdrawal can cause seizures,, but am not sure if my dose is high enough to worry about that.

Namaste, It could be a side effect of the Ambien. Are you experencing these symptoms just in the morning or all day? Try not taking the Ambien for a few days and see if yor symptoms improve and if they do, you'll know the cause.

I just started 20 mg of generic Celexa (3 days ago) and the doc also gave me Ambien and Klonopin (take .25mg) to relieve the anxiety until the Celexa kicks in. I wake up shaky/hot and kind of panicky. Which drug is this from drugs, or is it still the anxiety. I know this takes time, but I don't want to mess with any drugs that might be making the symptoms worse (i.e Klonopin or Ambien). I also don't want to become dependent on the Klonopin and ambien either.

I started taking Alprazolem for anxiety 15 years ago. Since then I only take .5mg at night to help me relax and fall asleep. I now find the the 1 pill at night is not helping me sleep. So I started taking Ambien CR and stopped taking the Alprazolem. I'm sleeping great, but feel terrible in the morning. I feel nausea and tingling numbnest in my arm and face. Do you think its from the Ambien or from me stopping the alprazolem. Any advice?

I have told people over and over about my experiences with ambien (sleep driving, sleep eating, and hair loss). It made me lose all grips on reality. It also destroyed me physicall and mentally. I wished I would have never heard of the c r a p. I have been clean from it for 6 months and I hope I never experience anything like it again. It was my fault because I wasn't taking it as prescribed. Whatever you do, only take one at bedtime.

Did you ask your pharmacist if abilify and ambien and any other meds you might be taking, including OTC meds, might be interacting to cause you to feel like this? Sometimes pharmacists know more about adverse drug interactions than dr's. Just a thought.

the pain medicine I take makes my mind race if I'm on it around the clock. I don't take more than prescribed but I did notice that after I lowered my dose, got off it completely for a few days and then slowly started with 1 dose a day and then 2 where I'm at currently, When I was at the end of that 3 day period it's like my body "reset". I was able to get tired earlier, and able to sleep sounder.

Wine is only okay after your baby is fully developed in the last month not, "here and there" and beer is not okay. I crave beer all the time but I wouldn't drink a small one I mean what's the point you're not gonna get drunk nor buzzed and it'll just go straight to the baby.

I made my hubby go and buy a red bull the other day cos I really craved it i you'd him to drink it but to leave me a mouthful in the bottom..

Well I asked my Dr and he said I beer or glass of wine a week in the first is fine and second trimester 2 a week and third you can have one glass of wine with dinner whenever... I went by those rules last pregnancy and my son is just fine but I know people freak out about all kinds of things so idk... It's up to you..

Yes beer does help with milk supply they talked about it in my breast feeding class
