At least 6-7 years at a pop and can stop it with very mild consequences. Some lack of sleep and maybe some headaches and neck/back pain but really nothing. Try OTC Advil pm or something maybe.

Try a heating pad or tylenol or even relax in bath before bed i feel ur pain and in 21 wks and 4 days i even prop myself up at nite with like 5 pillows but i hope u get the relief u need soon i also had it with my last baby and had back labor its not fun at all

ve been having the worst back pain. Went to hospital yesterday and they said to take the mess when needed and relax..

Does she think it's an issue? Personally,I think Ambien is a dangerous drug to be taking all the time. But,if she can't sleep and hasn't increased her dose for a year,then this is her lifestyle. I don't agree with it either but I know insomnia can be just horrible. There are other things she can take. If she wants to try it, suggest Melatonin and Valerian root. It's safe and it works for a lot of people. However,anyone on SSRI's should avoid Melatonin.

i have taken ambien for 7 years now and now iam up to 6/7 10 mg a night every night . The last 2 months I have had stomach pain and into the right side of my back as well as direaha and food is uuuuggghh. Is thier any links between ambien and stomach pain???

I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!

Within the past 2 monthes of consistently taking it, I have had a rash that started on my head, then chest and went to my stomach, groin, sides, back and then arms and legs. Some look sorta like ringworm and some look like bug bites. I started taking benadryl and using hydrocortizone cream, but did not stop the Ambien. The rash eventually got better, although, it still has not completely faded. About 2 weeks ago I got a boil on my finger and now I am getting another one.

Dec 6th. He gave me amitriptyline 25mg to take at night. Back a few months ago I ran out and got back on the ambien. I had to cancel my appt. with him because of the stimulator implant he ordered. So I guess I have to wait until after Dec 6 to get off of the ambien.

My back hurts and is putting me in so much pain but I don't have money to go to the doctors. I need Vicodin or some percocets but I cant afford that all I have is ambien, xanax and weed. How can I get rid of this pain?

Ambien will help you get some sleep so yes I would say it is good. I worked for a Dr. before and the highest dose I saw given was a total of 12mg. So if the tab was 6mg then the patient could take 2. Taking 2 10mg of ambien seems a little high to me.Maybe someone else could answer better than me. I am one of those people that ambien doesn't work. I have tried Ambien cr, Lunesta (sp?) and regular Ambien and still couldn't get any sleep.

The next day I called the dr and they put me on Vicidon (sp) and I overdosed alot trying to get rid of the pain so I have no more. Im scared of what these meds are doing to me . When I go into withdrawl i experence flu symptoms like stomach upset, vomiting, severe night sweats, chills, extreme pain,crying uncontrollably, extreme depression, feeling of doom, feeling of fever and hot and cold feelings. I was wondering how long this would last and how bad the pain is going to be.

im think about asking him for ultram(tramadol) for the back pain. is anybody familiar with this med for pain? he is giving me ambien 10mg for sleep. i don want to get addicted to anything.

i've been taking ambien for sleeo for 20 years. 10mg/night. about 10 years ago i had a bad intestinal virus that left me with chronic abdominal pain.my ambien went up to 2/night, i was up and down with norco for years. i eventually kicked it when the negatives outweighed the positives. before i kicked i noticed that 10mg ambien taken in the daytime really works in relieveing the pain. so i used the ambien to help me get off the opiates, why?

I need help. I am trying to get pregnant and suffering a lot with serious endometriosis pain. I have been opiate free for over 2 years with the exception of a knee surgery and a short stint (4 days) with pelvic pain that could not be helped. But I have been on Oxazepam 30 mg for 6 years (for sleep) I want off of it as I am afraid of what it will do to the fetus should I (hopefully conceive) My family Doc is gone. I have to wait a month to see a specialist.

d probably feel a lot better without the Ambien and the pain meds! See a doctor ( less expensive than the ER ) and start working on getting off the pills. Good luck!

I do believe it was true because it was a kind of back pain I had never felt and also it went on for awhile and then stopped. I can not remember how long, this was back in 2012. I think it went on for at least 2-4 months?? It kind of baffles me that you are having such a hard time off this med. It goes to show us that we really have to be careful what we let the Dr give us these days, unless we do our homework. I do you wish you the best and I am sure you will be fine in more Time.

I could tell early on that being on the Ambien was stressing you to the max. Now you have some pain relief and are off the Ambien....YOU GO GIRL!!!! Hope you'll give the Amitriptyline some time....your body is still healing from going off the hydro and now the ambien. When and if you decide to go off the Ami....be sure to wean off and talk to your dr. about a correct taper plan. That is a med I went on at 9 mos clean....and though I am not on it any longer....

Glad to hear your off the pillow crutches. They are not good for anyone except the pharma's. Hop hasn't been around for a week or so. he must have took my advice last week and is taking dancing lessons.......lol. moonwalk hop.......lol. don't ask. Nauty..................

i have never developed a tolerence to ambien and have used it off and on for over 10 years///i still take around 2.5 mg and it works...it is not a drug to take and "stay up"..it is designed to be taken right before u get in the bed...drinking on it is a no no as u will black out.....and people do abuse it..take it a stay up and party and stuff...how i do not know as i am asleep 10 minutes later U r taking 3 drugs...r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture?

To top this off, I am a very light sleeper and have to use earplugs and white noise in order to fall asleep. My doc gave me Seroquel and it works great, have been on it for about 7-8 years. I do not take it every night because of the weight gain. I also take over the counter stuff when I dont take my seroquel. I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari malformation about 3 years and had surgery to help treat it. I get really bad migraines from my chiari, especially if i cant get enough of sleep.
