It could be a side effect of the Ambien. Are you experencing these symptoms just in the morning or all day?

Well, eventually I needed 1mg to sleep,and at the same time I was experiencing rebound nausea, anxiety and all sorts or weird feelings during the day, due to the short half life of xanax. The ambien had also stopped helping me sleep after several months of usage on and off. I tried to not take it every night so as not to build up a tolerance to either drug but in the end they got me anyway!
The Ativan is much more addictive than the Ambien, and you're taking it daily. Voice your concerns about this as well. Do you really need it twice every day, or can you take it just when you absolutely need it? Have you learned any relaxation techniques? If not, a CBT therapist should be able to teach you some.
this is just my experience, and I'm not on tx yet...I can't take Lunesta and ambien, ambien makes me feel nutzo the next morning, but many people are fine with it...I take ativan if I have had a lot of sleepless nights in a row, and at a very low dose...I find tranquilizers lull me into sleep, which I prefer...best of luck...
i have been having some problems with my anxiety disorder, so he put me on lexapro cause he dont want me taking adivan with the sub cause it could cause death. he said the anxiety disorder and just the sub giving me anxiety(a side effect) is why i been having so much trouble sleeping. so he siad the lexapro should help with it, and if it dont help with sleep he wants me on a sleeping med. but beides all that. all is well here. got lots to do for the wedding from today and on.
I have taken melatonin, developed a sleep/wake cyle, meditated, aromatherapy, breathing exercises...NOTHING WORKS. I was prescribed ambien about a year ago. It worked for a while, and i only let myself take it once or twice a week to avoid dependy/tolerance. Despite my limited usage of the drug, it now, a year later, fails to work. A whole ambien of 12 milligrams will not keep me asleep for more then a few hours. This does not cut it.
Yes you will withdraw from Ambien if taken for to long, I went what yu are going through it got to the point where just walking into my bedroom gave me an anxiety attack, I tried Alteril, it is over the counter and all natural and it worked like a charm for me,you can get it at CVS or Wal-Mart and it really is not tha texpensive,also 5-htp works well for helping with anxiety and sleep and depression,5-htp is an amino acid and can also be gotten otc,hope this helps some.
I want to quit taking xanax and ambien. I have been on both for a few years. I also take Subxone.
I take 12.5 mg of ambien and .5mg of xanax 2 or 3 times per day.
Can I quit cold turkey without? I have heard xanax withdrawal can cause seizures,, but am not sure if my dose is high enough to worry about that.

How long does ambien withdrawal last? I have been off of it for 3 -1/2 months and struggle terribly w/ insomnia. I was on it for 4-1/2 months and it made me very sick with gastrointestinal problems, acid reflux, burning swellingin mouth, white tongue, etc. Doc did not diagnose, and said my symptoms were all caused by anxiety.

Also, I've been prescribed Ambien for chronic insomnia and Paxil for anxiety. Been on both for about 6 months now. Not sure of this plays a role in my new symptoms or if it's Neurological, or something else altogether?
Also,I have been on ambien 3 or more years now and as my tolerance builts up I need two 10mg ambien to go to sleep and I only get a 3 day supply. I take 2 or more a night and run out 15 days early where I get absolutly no sleep at all. I mean it none. Drs wont perscribe 2 ambien a night and I need to get off of it. I have had chronic insomnia since I was 14 and tried everything and w/o the ambien I get no sleep.
After a week of no sleep, my Doctor said nothing was wrong with my physically and put me on Ambien to get my sleep cycle back to normal and said I had anxiety and that it would go away.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations to getting my breathing back to normal?
I was perscribed ambien 4 days ago for insomnia. It really helps with the anxiety when i fall asleep, but only lets me sleep for a few hours then im up...but still tired. I feel groggy all day and very frustrated and i cannot think straight at all. I have noticed though when i take it i feel veyr very nauseas. Its hard eat because of the nausea. Has anyone else experience nausea with Ambien? I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg.
