The reason she has to have insulin injection is that all other drugs upset her stomuch ( except diamicron MR ) .Doctor has prescribed her with Amaryl ,Glucophage ,Glucobay ,but they upset her stomuch .Although she take it after meal but she still have stomuch pain .So I want to ask what diabet drugs that don’t upset stomuch (because she hate to take insulin injection ).
I have had Type 2 diabetes since October 07. I was put on Amaryl then and now am also on Metformin. I have since gained almost 5-8 pounds. Is this normal? I can't find this listed as a side effect in the drug info. I am about 20 pounds overweight and have been trying to lose that to help with the diabetes. I have a healthy diet and try to exercise as much as I can. I also have Crohn's disease (which may have contributed to the onset of diabetes), so heavy exercise is out for me.
ECG is clear. BP is 140/90. I am a diabatic patient and I am taking DIAMICRON MR, one tablets daily. How can I control shortness of breath.
This is a question for your pharmacist as I could not locate "IP". Normally USP is Rx'd. Amaryl [glimepiride] tablets come in various forms and colors. The letters IG [eye gee] is imprinted on three tablets [blue, pink, green] to designate strength.
I am maintaining a stage 3 and was on a 3 month regiment of vitamin d and we also eliminated metformin. I take Amaryl now, instead.. My blood glucose was out of control but my PCP put me on Victoza. That seems to be helping with the exception of BS levels being very low in the morning. My PCP has suggested she might take me off the Amaryl and just have me take more insulin along with the Victoza and Januvia. At this point we're experimenting with the meds to see what works better.
We have decrmy Lantus to 10eased units in the even. and 1/2 Amaryl in the a.m. and p.m. I also take Januvia 100mg, and 2000 mg Metformin a day. My A1c has been 6.6 for a few years now, but have moved and have a new Dr. who wanted me to try the Victoza. My BS are running 154 (No lower) to as high as 272. OCCASIONALLY I might have a reading as high as 272 (My B'day celebration had to many sweets) :(. but not this high On a regular basis.
Hi :) i'm on Diamicron 60mg i take 2 pills in the morning and i eat a small quantity of carbs always my BG don't raise more than 40-50 points after a meal i watch carefully the carbs that i'm taking and thanks for your time .
I have diabetic complications. Metformin and Diamicron harmed me while I was skipping the meals.
Some times my whole body burns, specially when blood sugar started to increase or decrease quickly.
I have adrenaline weakness. I have intense anxiety, because of complication. Alwayes feel bad.

Prior to surgery, she was taking Amaryl 1mg tablets once a day. Is this increased BSR levels following a surgery common enough, are there any implications and what should be the desired course of action?
I am 42 years old Diabetic for 5 years on Metformin 500mg XL and Amaryl 2 mg. My blood sugars are not controlled. Fasting in 140 s and postprandial 300s. I am following diabetic diet and doing regular exercise/ What is the next step I should do.
Please advise. My recent A1C is 8.5.

I have been controlling my type 2 diabetes with actos, lipitor, lisinopril, amaryl, and metfirman for the last 2 years. Recently, i was laying down and when I got up I felt my neck grinding. A few days later I noticed my tonuge was numb and tingling. then I noticed my right eye and right side of my face and head was numb. I have been having reduced mucle movement on that side. I do not have insurance and am unable to see a doctor. I get my diabetic medical treatment at a clinic.
If in fact you are a type 1 diabetic, you should not be taking Amaryl. I would say to find yourself a new doctor if he/she thinks that Amaryl is appropriate for juvenile diabetes. But, perhaps there is something I don't know.
Otherwise, just cautiously play with your carbohydrate intake and your insulin dosages. Yes, I agree that a doctor should be consulted about this at first, but eventually you should be running the show.

Doctor just started me on insulin to keep me out of emergency and I am still taking my metformin and diamicron, but not sure if I should be taking all. It's Xmas Eve and no one to turn to, but I am very light-headed and not sure about going to sleep. If I fall asleep I hope I wake up.
Hi Good afternoon friends, I am type 2 since 1996. Taking Diamicron 60mg in the morning before break fast and metformin 500 mg morning/afternoon and dinner. Walking 30-40 minutes every day evening. Today fasting sugar was 140 but after doing yoga for sometime I rechecked fasting which was 186. I drank only plain water. Anybody can help me why this happens.
If u are diabetic and fasting sugar is high in morning use diamicron in the medicine along with metformin.
Recently it was reccomended that I add to my Diabetes Type II meds regime of Glucophage (Metformin) and Diamicron MR (Gliclazide) a use of either Lamtus or Levenmir Pen Insulin Injection sytems.
Two questions:
Do you have any experience of this meds regime?
Would you see this as a non-reversable step.
I useVagisil cream and Desitin ontment for the after bowel movement burning pain that comes and goes sometimes lasting for hours I also take medication for Type 2 Diabetes,Glucophage 2000 milligrams a day and 2 milligram amaryl tabs a day. Could that also be causeing this problem?. Please tell me what you think. Thankyou.
