Did your neuro do a complete neurological exam and document the weakness in your legs? What did s/he find on the neuro exam?
Your neuro is probably wanting to wait to see if your symptoms resolve on their own before sending you for an MRI.
Why is my systolic blood pressure still high when I am taking Altace. My diastolic blood pressure is normal when I take Altace. Why the difference. Could I have angina since I have had pain in my chest around the heart area and in the middle of the chest. Also, could I have arterialschlorsis from the high systolic blood pressure?

Never had a heart attack. The Cardio put me on Metoprolol ( 50mg); Altace 2.5 mg and baby aspirin in addition to Lipitor 20mg. Sep. 2009 he took me off the Metoprolol and increased the Altace to 10 mg.
My Blood potassium level at the time was perfectly normal at 3.6; after the spike in the ace-inhibitor my potassium level has risen in two months to 5.6, which I believe is an unsafe level. My family doctor has now asked me to go back to the 2.5 mg dosage and get re-tested after two weeks.
Have you checked in with your eye MD?
How much Tylenol were you taking? Were you abusing it?
I take Toprol XL 200 mgs. and Altace 20mgs. and have for many years however recently I have experienced an increase in blood pressure. I have lost some weight and continue to diet as well as exercise. My doctor has tried two calcium channel blockers with the results that I become very ill and unable to continue these medications. Any suggestions?

I was on Altace and had problems. Then they put me on the Lopressor (metoprolol) along with the Altace. The altace lower my blood pressure too much, so I stick with the beta blocker and leave out the ace inhibitor. That works for me. But man oh man, I cannot run out of the beta blocker without servious side effects. Maybe in this case using both would help more.

I had an ejection fraction that over the years has decreased to 20% and in the last six months it quickly returned to 60% indicated by measurements from both an echo and MUGA testing. well a pulse of 48-50 does sound like bradycardia,but maybe it was just intermittent?i got my ablation a week ago and i am getting the odd thumping sensation ,i think palps are normal for a while after the procedure but not sure about the pulse rate.........
It has been working for me without questions. I am on Cholesterol meds and hypertension meds(Metoprolol, Altace and Norvasc) which I have been taking for the last two years. Recently I used some viagra two hours before an encounter with my date. I started drinking after the taking the Viagra. The viagra did not work....I took another one and waited awhile and it still didn't work...I took one more and waited a while with no results....
I take it that even though the anesthesia will help to relax a patient during such a procedure, I wondered is it still okay for a patient to take their hypertension medication (such as IC Cartia 360 mg, Atenonlol 12.5 mg and Altace 10 mg.)? Would the pressure go to low with the anesthesia or go to high without the hypertension medications?
Hi: I used to be on flecinade for 3-4 years and it worked great - basically it was akin to nitro - when I went into Afib it would quickly help restore sinus rythm. I'm now on sotolol and altace (blood pressure) which seems to help keep my heart rate down but it feels like a war as my heart wants to race. I'm not sure of any side effects as I have several issues but it does work to keep my heart rate below 100's and most often in the 60's - 70's.
I know this is not normal so i have been doing my own research. But i have developed more symptoms......i dont urinate but maybe twice a day, in the last month i have developed a high blood sugar in which i have been watching its averaging 130-140, blood pressure is increasing, pain in lower back, and worst of all is im lathargic!!!
I take Lipitor, Nexium, and Altace for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heartburn. I had femoral artery blockages 13 years ago and was a smoker. Guys, I'm not making this up, somebody please advise if you ever heard of such a thing, this is very alarming. My penis has shrunk and appears to be continuing to do so.

Had multiple stents (4) placed four (4) years ago, two in LAD with no side effects and good nuclear and stress test results over this period. Am currently taking Plavix/Aspirin/Coreg/Altace. Need arthroscopic repair on knee but concerned over cessating of Plavix. One cardiologist recommended ending Plavix entirely, second (same practice) would rather wait for a large study about to be completed. Suggestions?
Bowel and bladder symptoms include frequency of micturition, urine leakage, eye symptoms like double vision uncontrollable rapid eye movements, facial pain, painful muscle spasms, tingling, burning in arms or legs, depression, dizziness, hearing loss, fatigue etc. The treatment is essentially limited to symptomatic therapy so the course of action would not change much whether MS has been diagnosed or not.
This type of feeling remains for most part of day whenever I do some activity. However, after three months of increasing the coreg dose my symptoms have reduced by 25%. Yesterday I met my cardiologist. Having received complaints from me several times on earlier ocassions he adviced me to go back to a dose of 12.5 mgx2 coreg daily.
From this forum I have understood that there is possibility of LV reverse remodelling if pulse rate is kept low.
I don't know if these are symptoms of a condition or side effects of some of my meds, so can someone help?
I take Norvasc, Altace, Lexapro, Crestor, AndroGel, Doxycycline Hyclate, and Advair 250/50. I have been on the first 4 for years. The last 3 have been added within the last several months. I also have Severe Sleep Apnea, but I use my APAP religiously. AHI is usually <4, but will on ocassion sneak up to 5.
They put in 2 short stents and first two and longer stent in the longer area overlapping with stent for 85% blockage. Sent home with Plavix, Altace (Ramiprimil) and Lipitor (Ran-Atorvastatin). plus ASA. Have only taken Plavix and ASA so far and have a sort of congested feeling in esophagus and stomach-Like mild indigestion, feeling full and feeling like stuffing self when eat.
Still in shock and ajusting. I have Fibro so other limitations and my wife has alzheimers so that is a big stress.
