bad !! Zocor is for lowering cholesteral down - however it too has bad side effects..

I don't know if these are symptoms of a condition or side effects of some of my meds, so can someone help?
I take Norvasc, Altace, Lexapro, Crestor, AndroGel, Doxycycline Hyclate, and Advair 250/50. I have been on the first 4 for years. The last 3 have been added within the last several months. I also have Severe Sleep Apnea, but I use my APAP religiously. AHI is usually <4, but will on ocassion sneak up to 5.
Had multiple stents (4) placed four (4) years ago, two in LAD with no side effects and good nuclear and stress test results over this period. Am currently taking Plavix/Aspirin/Coreg/Altace. Need arthroscopic repair on knee but concerned over cessating of Plavix. One cardiologist recommended ending Plavix entirely, second (same practice) would rather wait for a large study about to be completed. Suggestions?
I am on High blood pressure medicine (Altace, which some sites do list tingling and leg weakness as side effects, though my GP does not think so).
My Neuro did all the blood work and that is normal (Lyme, ANA, CBC, B12, ESR, CAT Scan)
He is somehow asking for a month wait to order any MRI or other test. Does this fall within the McDonald criteria for diagnosis and that is why he is waiting??? Should I be concerned with this and pursue other Neuro?
If your exam is normal, it seem appropriate to see if the weakness will disappear like the tingling. The BP meds can have a lot of different side effects - one of which can be muscular weakness. What meds are you on?

Why is my systolic blood pressure still high when I am taking Altace. My diastolic blood pressure is normal when I take Altace. Why the difference. Could I have angina since I have had pain in my chest around the heart area and in the middle of the chest. Also, could I have arterialschlorsis from the high systolic blood pressure?

About a month ago my cardio had switched me to a new BB called Bystolic which did a better job in lowering my BP but had to go off it because of side effects. When I went back to Coreg at 6.125 my HR keeps at 70-80 and I also experience tiredness and can only attain a HR of 100 with execise. About 2 weeks ago I had to have my HR chemically speeded up because I could not walk on the threadmill long enough to complete a stress Echo.
One of our family members had an artery spasming causing such pain she was taken by ambulance three times to ER. They finally put two stents in the artery side by side to hold the artery open, so that it would not spasm. She was 30 percent blocked. Sometimes the blockage causes the spasming, but usually not until the artery is about 70 percent blocked. In some people, the artery will spasm with a little blockage. Her symptoms was shaking in the back and severe chest pain and pressure.
While I understand that this is probably a temporary side effect of the ablation and medication is this the case. I am taking Altace, Atenolol and Coumadin. Could this be Bradycardia?
Never had a heart attack. The Cardio put me on Metoprolol ( 50mg); Altace 2.5 mg and baby aspirin in addition to Lipitor 20mg. Sep. 2009 he took me off the Metoprolol and increased the Altace to 10 mg.
My Blood potassium level at the time was perfectly normal at 3.6; after the spike in the ace-inhibitor my potassium level has risen in two months to 5.6, which I believe is an unsafe level. My family doctor has now asked me to go back to the 2.5 mg dosage and get re-tested after two weeks.
Of that list, I would be suspicious of the Ceruvin & Betaloc as reasons for my thinning hair. Those are known side effects of those drugs. But, as Ed has mentioned, a simple blood test to make sure all the other levels are in check will help stop the continued hair loss. I have always had thin hair and now that I am taking the drugs I do, I have had to deal with the side effects. The benefits far out weigh the hair loss.
If it is just plain water, there is no need to worry as the endoscopist can suck out whatever little amount of water is present in the stomach with the help of the endoscope during the procedure and view the inner side of the stomach properly.

I take Toprol XL 200 mgs. and Altace 20mgs. and have for many years however recently I have experienced an increase in blood pressure. I have lost some weight and continue to diet as well as exercise. My doctor has tried two calcium channel blockers with the results that I become very ill and unable to continue these medications. Any suggestions?
I take Lipitor, Nexium, and Altace for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heartburn. I had femoral artery blockages 13 years ago and was a smoker. Guys, I'm not making this up, somebody please advise if you ever heard of such a thing, this is very alarming. My penis has shrunk and appears to be continuing to do so.

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.
Yes, I've only been on it a week and I experience the muscle aches and bilateral flank pain as well. In addition, insomnia!
THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY BEFORE I FOUND YOU GUY. SIDE EFFECTS MUCH MORE THAN WE HAD BEEN LED TO BELIEVE.PERSONALLY HAVE THE BLURRY VISION, ENHANCED JOINT PAIN, SWEATS, AND SLEEP NOT GOOD. FINALLY SAW FEED BACK FROM THE COMMUNITY THAT VERIFIED OTHERS FEELING SAME. ANYONE FEELING ANYTHING ELSE ODD? PLEASE POST. ALSO HAVE BLOATING, IRRITABILITY. AND CONTRARY TO WHAT DOCTORS SAY, I'M ALWAYS CONSTIPATED.
