Hi folks! As many of you know I am on metoprolol tartrate 25 MGs b.i.d. for my PSVT. Even though I'm on the lowest dose I do get quite a bit of side effects as far as being overtired and dragging. My cardiologist now has started me on verapamil because my BP has been running high. I'm just afraid this is going to make me even more tired and dragging. Is anybody on this combo and if so how have the side effects been?

With all blood pressure Medications, you will get tons of Side effects ! Toprol is one Nasty medication, that packs a punch ! I was on it for over 6.5 years straight ! it was bad !! Zocor is for lowering cholesteral down - however it too has bad side effects.. combined you must be in a living hell ! the daily Confusion , and focus and not being Alert - is a toprol side effect for sure ! Hows your Hair.. has it thinned out yet ? and have you Gained any Waight yet ?

I don't know if these are symptoms of a condition or side effects of some of my meds, so can someone help? I take Norvasc, Altace, Lexapro, Crestor, AndroGel, Doxycycline Hyclate, and Advair 250/50. I have been on the first 4 for years. The last 3 have been added within the last several months. I also have Severe Sleep Apnea, but I use my APAP religiously. I am on High blood pressure medicine (Altace, which some sites do list tingling and leg weakness as side effects, though my GP does not think so). My Neuro did all the blood work and that is normal (Lyme, ANA, CBC, B12, ESR, CAT Scan) He is somehow asking for a month wait to order any MRI or other test. Does this fall within the McDonald criteria for diagnosis and that is why he is waiting??? Should I be concerned with this and pursue other Neuro?

Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.

About a month ago my cardio had switched me to a new BB called Bystolic which did a better job in lowering my BP but had to go off it because of side effects. When I went back to Coreg at 6.125 my HR keeps at 70-80 and I also experience tiredness and can only attain a HR of 100 with execise. About 2 weeks ago I had to have my HR chemically speeded up because I could not walk on the threadmill long enough to complete a stress Echo.

I saw cases (on Internet) that it may erupt suddenly into grade 4 with every next infusion (some scary pics there). Anybody experienced really bad skin side effects with Doxil? Would it go away completely after chemo finishes? Anyone had positive effects from topical steroids? I would try them first before --if they help-- before other options. I am seeing my oncologist next week, after infusion #4 and obviously want to complete this chemo cycle with no interruption.
