I take Toprol XL 200 mgs. and Altace 20mgs. and have for many years however recently I have experienced an increase in blood pressure. How much Tylenol were you taking? Were you abusing it?

I was on Altace and had problems. Then they put me on the Lopressor (metoprolol) along with the Altace. The altace lower my blood pressure too much, so I stick with the beta blocker and leave out the ace inhibitor. That works for me. But man oh man, I cannot run out of the beta blocker without servious side effects. Maybe in this case using both would help more.

well a pulse of 48-50 does sound like bradycardia,but maybe it was just intermittent?i got my ablation a week ago and i am getting the odd thumping sensation ,i think palps are normal for a while after the procedure but not sure about the pulse rate.........

Im being admited to the hospital cause one of my sons kidneys are larger than the other and he has fluid in his tummy, im only 34weeks and they may or may not keep him inside me. With your 50 eGFR, they will monitor that for three months, yes? It it remains low, that is indicative of kidneys not working properly. I understand your concern. What does your doctor say about this. I would stay hydrated during this time. When caught early, these things can be improved! Stay on top of this. Blood pressure okay? Diabetes checked? These are big ones to make sure are under control for the kidneys. Let me know any update.

I have had 3 heart attacks and 3 stents in RCA. I continued to have angina. I had alot of episodes that would wake me out of a dead sleep. I was put on Norvasc (calcium channel blocker) in additon to Lopressor and Altace. Haven't had any spasms lately. Hope you feel better.
