Why is my systolic blood pressure still high when I am taking Altace. My diastolic blood pressure is normal when I take Altace. Why the difference. Could I have angina since I have had pain in my chest around the heart area and in the middle of the chest. Also, could I have arterialschlorsis from the high systolic blood pressure? I have only been put on the beta blocker to lower my blood pressure. No angina, heart arrythmias, or any other heart issues. I also know that you have to gradually cut down getting off of them and not all of a sudden! I have never been happy about being on them eversince I was put on them when my BP was high! I would like to talk to a medical doctor/alternative medicine doctor to help me, but I don't know of one in my area that anyone is familiar with!

My HR is still up most of the time even when just laying in the bed. I haveo no history of high blood pressure....if anything its low. I have been in the ER with constant tachycardia . Three weeks ago I had my second ablation surgury (last was 5 yrs ago); they had to ablate about 900 points/spots which seems to represent about 40% or more of my heart. A week after the surgury I was readmitted as I was in Afib for about 8 hours straight (I've gone for days before the surgury) with my heart rate running in the 150's - 200.

I take Lipitor, Nexium, and Altace for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heartburn. I had femoral artery blockages 13 years ago and was a smoker. Guys, I'm not making this up, somebody please advise if you ever heard of such a thing, this is very alarming. My penis has shrunk and appears to be continuing to do so. HELP!

i dont urinate but maybe twice a day, in the last month i have developed a high blood sugar in which i have been watching its averaging 130-140, blood pressure is increasing, pain in lower back, and worst of all is im lathargic!!!

I take it that even though the anesthesia will help to relax a patient during such a procedure, I wondered is it still okay for a patient to take their hypertension medication (such as IC Cartia 360 mg, Atenonlol 12.5 mg and Altace 10 mg.)? Would the pressure go to low with the anesthesia or go to high without the hypertension medications?

If you have no prior history of high blood pressure i would think theres a very good chance as these meds do crazy stuff....... I have read here where those with high BP before tx saw it go down while on treatment...... Good luck going forward.

I have had high blood pressure through out most of my pregnancy i am now 35wks. I started swelling really bad last week and at my apt yesterday my blood pressure had jumped even higher to 156/90. My mid wife didn't seem concerned at all she just re took it and made my appointments weekly now. I can't seem to get rid of a head ache ive had for a couple days. Should i be worried???

I am now on an appeal for a new treatment after being turned down by my insurance company.Has anybody with similar symptons experienced sudden high blood pressure and found out what might have caused it.The doc I saw in the emergency room couldn't answer why it happened.

Your bottom number is a little high but not horrible! I am 35w3d and I have had constant high blood pressure since 26 weeks. Its always around 165/94. Since its been constantly high, I see my doctor every thursday for an ultrasound to check the babies heartbeat and fluid, a non-stress test, and a chat with my doctor! I also go in every wednesday to do blood work to check for preeclampsia. This week will be my 4th time doing it.

I get high blood pressure when pregnant (this is my second pregnancy) it just happens. I'm fit and healthy and continue this during pregnancy and have hardly any salt in my diet.

cervix is still close which is fine with me no hurry lol but dr informed me that my blood pressure was high so he restricted me from work nn put me to rest...but I'm wondering if this means I'm getting induce? He didn't really say anything about it just gave me another appointment on Thurs to check blood pressure!

They help curve my nausea too. Ive never had high blood pressure from too much salt however in my past pregnancies(like in last trimester)if i ate them too often my feet would swell up pretty good. At this point its hard for me to ignore cravings. Sometimes your body craves what you need but just try to eat whatever it is in moderation.
