Never had a heart attack. The Cardio put me on Metoprolol ( 50mg); Altace 2.5 mg and baby aspirin in addition to Lipitor 20mg. Sep. 2009 he took me off the Metoprolol and increased the Altace to 10 mg. My Blood potassium level at the time was perfectly normal at 3.6; after the spike in the ace-inhibitor my potassium level has risen in two months to 5.6, which I believe is an unsafe level. My family doctor has now asked me to go back to the 2.5 mg dosage and get re-tested after two weeks.

I take Toprol XL 200 mgs. and Altace 20mgs. and have for many years however recently I have experienced an increase in blood pressure. I have lost some weight and continue to diet as well as exercise. My doctor has tried two calcium channel blockers with the results that I become very ill and unable to continue these medications. Any suggestions?

Why is my systolic blood pressure still high when I am taking Altace. My diastolic blood pressure is normal when I take Altace. Why the difference. Could I have angina since I have had pain in my chest around the heart area and in the middle of the chest. Also, could I have arterialschlorsis from the high systolic blood pressure? IS IT OK to take hypertension medication (such as IC Cartia 360 mg, Atenonlol 12.5 mg and Altace 10 mg.) 5 hours before having an Endoscopy? Would the pressure go to low with the anesthesia or go to high without the hypertension medications?

Wouldn't an Ace Inhibitor work better? I was on Altace and had problems. Then they put me on the Lopressor (metoprolol) along with the Altace. The altace lower my blood pressure too much, so I stick with the beta blocker and leave out the ace inhibitor. That works for me. But man oh man, I cannot run out of the beta blocker without servious side effects. Maybe in this case using both would help more.

It has been working for me without questions. I am on Cholesterol meds and hypertension meds(Metoprolol, Altace and Norvasc) which I have been taking for the last two years. Recently I used some viagra two hours before an encounter with my date. I started drinking after the taking the Viagra. The viagra did not work....I took another one and waited awhile and it still didn't work...I took one more and waited a while with no results....

I'm 34 weeks and my kidneys are just killing me. I went to the bath room this morning and I had to pee so bad but it was like I was blocked off. I had a uti already with this pregnancy and I don't think that's what it is. The doc confirmed that I had got rid of it. Does anyone possibly know why my kidneys could be hurting so bad.

I have been using Norco and othe opiods for about 1 year. Today i decided that it was a good idea to stop. I was only able to score 7.5/750 and i took alot over the last few days. Something is not right and i have alot of lower back pain. This is rough. The withdrawals i am coping with xanax and ultram but to np avail. Should i see a doc? Is the back pain normal?

Hello. I am taking 10mg Ripineril. I have been noticing a foggy feeling and one of my fingers twitches from time to time. Could this be from the ripineril? Never felt this before. I've been on this medication dosage for about a month now. I startedout on the2.5mg about in may. Just wondering if with the increase that im feeling this way and with the twiching now is normal with taking thos drug.

I didnt urinate until 5am the next morning and I just so happened to have something to catch it in IT was coffee colored I called the Doc and took it over, the strip said I had protein and bilirubin in my urine the pain management lady redid my UA and used that urine.

I went to hospital and they thought it was my kidneys, they did a urine test and blood tests looking for infections because the pain came on so suddenly it woke me from my sleep and I was in tears! It turns out it was just a muscle, thank goodness!

I have MS and COPD, HBP was put on meds for the HBP in 2016 it was never really out there high, and am on Losartan 50mg and HTC 12.5mg and on Rosuvastatin for high cholesterol 10MG, oh and last but not least, Copaxone 40MG injection for my MS. Last May all my bloodwork was normal range. On the 5th of Oct had a brain and spine MRI with contrast they did a quick kidney test and my creatinine was high @ 1.6 Last May it was 1.17 normal. What is frightening me is the 50 eGFR.

Im being admited to the hospital cause one of my sons kidneys are larger than the other and he has fluid in his tummy, im only 34weeks and they may or may not keep him inside me. I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant and in pain with my kidneys is this normal?

I have no idea how this will all play out. I did start googling Lyme and Kidneys and found a case study of someone with Lyme with such poor kidney function, the poor person had to go on dialysis for 5 months. They dubbed it "Lyme nephritis." The good news is the patient had an "excellent outcome." I don't know if that means the patient survived, or the patient fully recovered or something in between Hard to know what doctor parlance is.

So I know what the pain feels like, and with my first pregnancy I got one bad kidney infection that I actually thought was me going into labor, until I got to the hospital and found out it was my kidneys. This pregnancy my kidney seems to always feel swollen. Especially once I start feeling like I have to pee. I can hardly get comfortable laying down because of it. I've never had kidney stones and would hope to not ever get them.
