Avatar f tn So I am getting a cough and sore throat and need some relief. I called my doctor but had to leave a message. I don't know what is safe to take ? Any of you ladies know what's safe to take for a cough and cold during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn as well as afrin and a couple of allergy medicines (not all allergy medicines though)...every pregnancy is different though and every Dr is different as to what they prefer so I would definitely call.

1057060 tn?1266513126 t take the medicine it can spread to your other eye, glands, contagious to others. I had to take the medicine it is a category c also. But, doctors assured me it would be fine and worse not to take the medicine.
4244557 tn?1371701336 at the beginning of my pregnancy my doctor gave me a list of medications that were safe to take during pregnancy. for allergies she had 2 different shots listed and an over the counter medicine. I myself suffer from seasonal allergies and so does my friend who is due the end of July. I had told her that we could take the over the counter meds and she told me that we couldn't because allergy meds dry up the amniotic fluid. is that true or is it safe to take the medicine.
Avatar f tn Doctors have prescribed it to me for about 10 yrs. The ob said that its fine for me to take but to limit it to an as needed basis.
Avatar n tn Is it safe to take cough drops also what's good for allergies I've been sick for days or weeks and I need to know what's the best medicine to take for running nose and stuffed nose...

Avatar f tn Zyrtec and Claritin also are okay to take but I would ask your doctor to make 100% sure. Some doctors have different opinions!! I just took one benadryl when needed, not the whole dose or I would have been so tired all the time. Lol.
Avatar f tn You can only take benedryl, nothing else.
Avatar n tn I dont have an answere and I have same problem too. All I can do is stop all allergy shots or even medicine. My allergy get worse, but I want a baby badly. I'm on the first IVF because I'm failed all IUIs. I remember the last time I got shots about a year ago, and I got late AF that month. I noticed it to the nurse and doctor send me home without allergic shot then I know should have some thing related to pregnancy. I skip allergic treatment since then.
Avatar f tn said I need to take half a benadryl every night for a week. Has anyone had to take benadryl while pregnant and was everything okay?
Avatar n tn Is it okay to take? All the wind and crap has absolutely thrown my stupid allergies outta whack.

358971 tn?1330888975 Yea, her baby will be fine. they say to take it easy on the IBPROFEN and ADVIL during 1st and 3rd trimesters. but occasionally for a headache is ok. I take 400mg. probably 1X a week for inflammation on my legs. it works fine. and I've done this since my BFP.. no problems so far, but I won't be taking it in 3rd trimester.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know allergy medicine that is safe to take?
Avatar f tn my doctor told me I only could take benadryl nothing else not even my regular claritin that I take all the time. I would ask your Dr.
Avatar f tn I was cleared to take zyrtec during my last pregnancy and with this one. Benadryl is ok after the first trimester.
Avatar n tn It sounds like it could be an allergy too. Try some allergy meds that are on an approved list for pregnancy. Same goes for cold meds unless you'd like a more natural route. If its not allergies rest, fluids, extra vitamin C, non caffeinated tea with lemon, ginger, honey, etc.
