Avatar f tn said I need to take half a benadryl every night for a week. Has anyone had to take benadryl while pregnant and was everything okay?
Avatar f tn I know how you feel.
Avatar n tn I know what you mean about not wanting to take medicine while breastfeeding, I too do not like taking medicine while breastfeeding - which meant I went a LONG time without many meds (except my thyroid med). Are you involved in any breastfeeding groups? What area do you live in if you don't mind me asking?
Avatar f tn As far as I know if you're breastfeeding its pretty much the same medicine thats ok for pregnancy. I know you can still breastfeed if you have a cold and it shouldn't hurt baby.
358971 tn?1330888975 Yea, her baby will be fine. they say to take it easy on the IBPROFEN and ADVIL during 1st and 3rd trimesters. but occasionally for a headache is ok. I take 400mg. probably 1X a week for inflammation on my legs. it works fine. and I've done this since my BFP.. no problems so far, but I won't be taking it in 3rd trimester.

Avatar n tn Is it okay to take? All the wind and crap has absolutely thrown my stupid allergies outta whack.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to take excedrin migraine e while bf? I don't want to take anything stronger and Tylenol doesn't work lol sorry for posting here I know better but the lactation consultants at wic are completely useless.
Avatar n tn Xanex isnt safe to just abrumptly stop, but isnt safe to take while pregnant. There are safe alternatives to take while pregnant. I cant remember the name of the med they gave me to take instead of xanex but there are options.
Avatar f tn Take allergy medicine. When my son turned 1 I was done breastfeeding so my doctor said antihistamine in medicine dries ur milk up. Get the nin drowsy kind. Took about a week.

Avatar f tn Does any one know what cold medicines if any are okay to take while breast feeding? & also my baby boy is 2 weeks and I can hear him getting sick when he breathes he sounds all congested does anyone know what I can do to help him too?
Avatar f tn If u want to dry ur milk up just take some over the counter allergy medicine. It has antihistamines in it and that drys up ur milk. I took the dollar general brand when my son turned 1 and switched to cow milk.
Avatar f tn I was taking tramadol and ibuprofen that my doctor prescribed me after i came home she knew i was only going to breastfeed, i did research and they were ok to take while breastfeeding.
593810 tn?1251223030 Your doctor will tell you the same thing which is to take the tylenol although some people like to take the non medicine approach while pregnant and that is fine too. Nothing wrong with either way.
1399033 tn?1449587779 I feel terrible. I know my doctor wouldn't prescribe me something if I really didn't need it. I don't like taking anything but I need it. My anxiety has gotten so bad. I had it before pregnancy but it seems to get worse while I'm pregnant. I'm supposed to take it 2x a day. Does anyone else take it? How do you feel about it? It's better in the long run I know but, just worried I'll hurt baby. (Just another mama fear)... I trust my doctor.
Avatar f tn She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
Avatar f tn For tonight you could suck on some halls menthol cough drops that are safe and take regular tylenol but in regards to cold medicine I would contact your doc/ob first thing in morn so they can give you the accurate medicine as none of us our docs:) Good luck hope you feel better soon.
467126 tn?1283144858 I ate peanut butter all through my pregnancy and Riley got very sick when I ate peanut butter while breastfeeding. So I think it's right to assume he is allergic to it. Not sure if they are related. But yeah that's the reason why, allergies.
Avatar m tn I talked to my doctor about allergy medicine and he recommended I wait until I was at least 5 month to take anything. So I would definitely ask your doctor before taking anything especially since your just 11 weeks.
187316 tn?1386356682 I too am extremely fertile, but it is extremely rare to get pregnant while exclusively breastfeeding, this quickly after giving birth. I have done extensive research on this as I was trying to get pregnant recently and am also breastfeeding. Some women can't get pregnant while breastfeeding, while some can. It just depends on the woman. BUT, only 8 weeks pp, it would be very RARE for any woman.
Avatar n tn Luckily for me the tumor is located at the edge of my breast near my underarm, so he used an angle that would puncture the least amount of breast tissue, in order to avoid the complication of a milk fistula (leaking of milk from incision site). It is possible to have a biopsy while breastfeeding, and a lactation consultant can help you if you need it. If it is too difficult for the wound to heal you may have to stop, but at least give it a try.
250155 tn?1485295939 Are you seeing a psychiatrist or a regular doc? Do you suffer just from anxiety, or is your main problem depression? Have you ever tried therapy? How badly is your problem affecting your life, because if you are doing okay therapy is a better place to start than strong medications. Have you tried other medications, or is this your first try? I'm asking because, first, general docs don't know these meds or these conditions very well.
Avatar f tn Zyrtec and Claritin also are okay to take but I would ask your doctor to make 100% sure. Some doctors have different opinions!! I just took one benadryl when needed, not the whole dose or I would have been so tired all the time. Lol.
