Common Questions and Answers about Allergy laser treatment

allergies

Avatar m tn I have gotten my dog cold laser therapy for her allergies and auto immune disease. I've also seen it done on dogs for hip dysplasia and arthritis, epilepsy, other allergy dogs, and on dogs post surgery to speed up healing. On every other dog that I either witnessed personally or read the testimonies of (which were about 20 in all) it worked moderate to very well. In my dog, it did not work. She had 4 weeks of treatment. I felt the laser myself and it feels like nothing at all.
Avatar m tn Dear Practioners, My questions are in relation to a potential allergy reaction to a tattoo laser treatment. On 1st March 2011 I underwent a laser treatment (Alexandrite device) on a couple a tattoos I have (one on the inner part of my left arm and the other on the back side of my right arm) however, I have noticed that about 04-05 weeks later I started developing mosquito-bites type of thing on the area of the tattoos which can be very itchy and come and go within a few hours.

Avatar f tn Hi, I'm female, 13 yrs old and i have had this rash for monthes now. At first I tried my mom's face cream.(olay regenerist microsculpting cream) and I was allergic so I had this huge bumpy red rash, that was crusty and swollen. Only on one side of my cheek. It was swollen so much that i looked like a half sumo wrestler. My lymph nodes were also swollen. So i went the doctor. They gave my antibiotics, allergy cream, and allergy pills.

The actual treatment wasn't too bad pain wise, but it got infected, and takes a long time to heal in my case. I use a PDL pulsed dye laser to keep it under control and have been since i was a little girl i remember my parent taking me in every 6 weeks when i was 4-6 years old and have been going ever since.

Avatar f tn HI There, I had laser hair removal treatment carried out on my legs, underarms and bikini area 4 days ago. Whilst my underarms and bikini are healing well, I have broken out in an "acne" type rash which is itchy on my legs. I have been taking a piriton at night and piriteze during the day and also using sudocrem on my skin. Is there anything else that I can do to alleviate the itch, speed up the healing and prevent any scarring?
Avatar n tn My laser treatment - surgery - is planned for January. Has anyone had laser surgery for genital warts removal before? I am worried about the scarring and the recovery part of the surgery. My Dr. said I would be in bed for about 15 days following the surgery, and that it would take about 1 month to heal completely. I've heard about horror stories... bad scarring... tissue sticking together... skin not being the same afterwards, and complicated intercourse following the surgery.
Avatar n tn I have been using duac gel and it reallt has not gotten much better. I have been told that laser treatment would be a great choice. 1778927 tn?1381878747 When the doctor check again he said it had gotten much bigger. He decided to laser it that night. It has been 10 days since the laser and it appears that some of my vision is returning. Things are still wavy and I see a purple/red hue off to the left of my eye. My question is that since the laser surgery it appears almost that there are 2 spots now so is it typical for the bubble (mine was oblong) to heal in different sections creating the illusion of 2 spots?
Avatar m tn The retinal surgeon who examined me recommended laser retinopexy for a tiny flap tear on the periphery. When I went back for the laser a different guy was there to do the laser (I found out later he was a retinal "fellow" or student). He told me that he and the surgeon "divide up the patients." He lasered the flap tear but then said he noticed a thin spot and recommended lasering that too. I said OK and he did it.
Avatar m tn Erb-yag laser / ND-yag laser Before going ahead with that I need to know whether it is advisable to go for a laser / peel treatment for acanthosis nigricans or is there any simpler way to get rid of this condition? All I know is food control and exercise will be the ideal way to go ahead. But the effect would be seen in a longer period of time in that case. Whereas with laser / peel treatment, you might see the effect in a few months. What should be considered then?
