Avatar n tn Im wondering if anyone has ever experienced very dry skin as an allergy symptom? My skin has become sooo dry and unhealthy looking and im NOTtaking any decongestants either. Any ideas or suggestions?
Avatar f tn You can also use a topical cortisone (steroid) cream or ointment like dermacort(hydrocortisone). Adding a humidifier to the central heating system of your home or using a humidifier also helps. In severe itching antihistminics like Benadryl can be taken. In case the symptoms persist then consult a dermatologist in that case. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar m tn i have a real bad dust allergy and my carpet was neglected for years and i just started cleaning constantly and theres so many airborne particles nothing changes anything just so much dust i think the carpet is ruined..i have an hepa air purifier and a humidifier...
Avatar f tn LOL, and during night they came in and added CPAP machine with humidifier. Slept like a baby and felt very refreshed next morning, which is unusual. On way home started sneezing, allergy like, not like a cold. 2 days later, still sneezing and dripping but not like a cold. Could it have triggered an MS reaction or just an allergic reaction to the humidifier? I know I think they are supposed to use distilled water but I am allergic to city water with chlorine.
Avatar f tn I take an allergy pill because part of my morning sickness was because of that feel.
Avatar n tn This machine dries up the eyes and nasal passages which causes irritation, burning and sneezing. You can try a cold water humidifier to start with. If you already have a humidifier and your mother still experiences these symptoms you may need a heated humidifier. In most cases this resolves nasal congestion and irritation if it is caused by CPAP. Also if your mother has a deviated nasal septum then also it can cause allergy like symptoms.
Avatar f tn Use a humidifier if needed. You need to take care of triggers that may cause allergy, which is leading to coughing. If the cough becomes severe, consult your health professional.

Avatar n tn Hello, Nothing can be confirmed without examination but it can be due to viral fever, post viral fever myalgia, allergic reaction, food allergy or some drug allergy. Drink plenty of water and take multivitamin supplements and do not apply lipstick or other cosmetic products for some days. Use a humidifier to moisturize the air in your home and apply shea butter or Vaseline on your lips. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
7639611 tn?1392877261 The symptoms can also be due to cat allergy. Since you have known allergies to pollen, dust mites and pet dander, chances of cat allergy are high. You may have always been allergic but symptoms may not have been very pronounced. Only a skin test (that tests for cat allergy) will rule out for sure whether it is cat allergy or not. If it is cat allergy, then if you do not take anti-allergic pills, the symptoms will resurface time and again.
Avatar n tn Some allergy maybe that they havent thought of, sometimes in the winter cental heating can cause a cough as the air gets dry, a humidifier may help .
Avatar f tn Could be from a allergy from something, smoking if you smoke, chronic bronchitis. You really need to see your doctor. Has your house been staying hot? You might need a humidifier.
Avatar f tn A humidifier helps with my stuffy nose and sore throat issues. Since mine is allergy related I take zyrtec. When I had a cold I used tylenol cold and it worked prettt well.

Avatar m tn You can also use a topical cortisone (steroid) cream or ointment like dermacort(hydrocortisone). Adding a humidifier to the central heating system of your home or using a humidifier also helps. If still the symptoms persist then possibility of eczema or atopic dermatitis needs to be ruled out. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
6807839 tn?1386436725 Not sure if you meant stuffy nose? If so go to the restroom turn on te hot water and just sit there, that will loosen up your mucus. If you have headaches just use a nice pack, maybe some teas (make sure you google them, and make sure they are organic and no caffeine) for your cracked lips just stay hydrated && well use Chapstick? I've used Vaseline of my lips and face when it's really dry outside and it's helped but i only use it at night.
Avatar f tn Stuffy noses and bloody noses are common during pregnancy, thanks to swelling in your nasal passages. Try using a vaporizer or humidifier to lessen the symptoms.
