The allergy shot therapy leaves me with large bruises at the injection site. I'm not elderly since I read the older you are the more you bruise. Does anyone have a remedy to prevent or at least reduce this bruising? The immunotherapy is helping me. I'm just really embarrased of all the bruises.
We were told that it is likely allergy related and to follow up with the family doctor. We followed up with the doctor and a stool sample and abdominal x-ray were done. The stool sample was negative for parasites and the abdominal x-ray showed moderate stool-unremarkable were the remarks. 3 weeks after the initial CBC, the family doctor performed a repeat CBC and liver enzymes. The Eosiniophils were now even higher at 28%! Needless to say we are frustrated.
It starts in August and lasts a few months. Last night was by far the worst it has ever been! I live in the Cincinnati area. The itching is a deep prickly feeling with no visible signs on the skin. The more you scratch the worse it gets. It is so frustrating and No doctor seems to have a clue what it is!!! It is on my arms, from the wrist to my shoulders. but now it has been on my neck as well. I have had some relief in the past by using a lotion called amalactin.
