Avatar m tn ) and also blood testing for allergies. My allergies are out of control and have been for about 10 months. So, everything was normal, no new allergies, but hypothyroid. So, for me, whether it is just timing or my allergies are more noticeable because of a thyroid disorder, who knows? I've have also read articles suggesting that allergies can be triggered or exacerbated as women near menopause; I'm 48 btw.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone. I've been here before haha! I'm a 24yr/ female. I've been having heart palpitations since 2016. Last year I went through a LOT of stress and so many health issues I *thought* I had. Technically, I have had health problems though... just not that "serious." I had a seizure in 2015 because of birth control and too high of sugar intake. Then I had misalignment of my spine/hips which I got fixed up just recently.
Avatar n tn I had a baby 3 months ago and since then seem to be developing more allergies. Dairy is giving me a similar reaction as I do to gluten (swelling throat, ichy skin, tired, stomach pains and moody) but a little less and I think I have hay fever now which I have never had, also I keep getting very ichy knees and elbows (I have no idea what this is from). Is there anythig I can do about this, I would like to prevent myself from developing more allergies.
Avatar f tn As indicated epipen is for emergencies. Vitamins may not help with preventing allergies. The diagnosis of allergy is difficult to prove or refute. Clinical suspicion and trial of elimination diets are used. An allergy specialist might be able to help you. He may try to identify the offending allergen and try to desensitize you. Hope this helped and Do keep us posted.
587663 tn?1220401559 With colon sensitivities i have found that staying away from vitamins is best for me... I cannot digest them properly. You should get most of your vitamins from a well balanced diet. Of course each is different. Do watch your trigger foods. I can tolerate 1% milk and do take a calcium/vit-d tablet..with magnesium everyday. Perhaps you may like to try this yourself. Best to you.
Avatar f tn t see any reason not to. I use to do it with all my vitamins due to food allergies, you see, most of the capsules are made from beef gelatin, I was allergic to beef, so I opened them up and put the contents in orange juice, it didn't taste too great, but it was the way for me to get my vitamins. I think that it might even help them to get into your system faster, I would certainly do it.
11803947 tn?1430842645 I don't take my iron pils just because I was getting constipated. And I do forget to take all my vitamins every now and then but I know it's very important for our babies growth.
Avatar n tn I've had asthma since I was 10 yrs old, I'm now 27. I've played soccer since I was a kid and never had any serious issues. About 2 yrs ago I had a real bad cold/sinus infection and ended up in the ER because of my asthma. Ever since then, I have not been able to get my asthma under control. I've been prescribed almost everything you can think of, steroids, albuterol, xopenex (inhaler and inhalation solution), budesonide, mucinex and that's just for my asthma.

681148 tn?1437661591 I have tried everything I can think of. My scalp is dry and itchy. It sometimes has eczema or dermatitits in addition to this problem. I've added healthy oils to my hair and scalp and left them in. In a short time, my hair is back to its dry, dull and frizzy self. I'm at my wits end with this. I have loads of allergies, so I'm careful as far as that goes. I don't wash more than once every week or every other week.
Avatar n tn I take a lot of medicines & vitamins regularly. Recently I developed a blood clot, and I did read on this site that Aspirin helps with time. The only disease I have is G6PD I have no allergies or anything Is it okay to try it Aspirin ?!
Avatar f tn It really is helping with her allergies, but do you know if she needs to take supplement vitamins with this food ? The reason I ask is she has been doing strange things like .....eating the soil in my potted plants. She has a really great Vet and I will ask him about this , but I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience ?
Avatar m tn I think you should consult with your dr. Many people mistake allergies for a cold. I would suspect that your allergies are more severe than you think. Another option would be acid reflux which can cause sinus and asthma symptoms. You need to see a dr for an accurate diagnosis and then work from there.
Avatar f tn It's summer - it's a big time for allergies. Even if you've never experienced allergies before, they can develop at any time. Or are you exposed to something new? Are you living in a house with mold? Working in a building with mold? Allergy-proof your house as much as you can - vacuum regularly, get new hypoallergenic pillows (old pillows hold a LOT of dust and all kinds of nasties) and get allergy covers for them.
Avatar n tn Any time I try and take any type of vitamin supplements within a week I start getting a runny nose and become congested. If I continue it gets worse. When I stop taking the supplement the "cold" goes away. I have food allergies as well as airborne allergies so I know I'm allergic to something in them but I can't figure out what. I am 36 and as I approach 40 and menopause I would like to be able to take some supplements but the "cold" keeps me from it.
Avatar f tn I find all the sensitivities to hormones and vitamins strange as both are nature building blocks of the body. I found this on acidic vitamins: "Acidic vitamins play a special role in maintaining the health of the human body in that they each contribute to cell health and formation. While vitamin C primarily acts a cell anti-oxidant, vitamins B9 and B5 contribute to cell formation and the carrying of human genetic information.
Avatar f tn For allergies, talk to your doctor. Get some allergy pills and take your vitamins and go out and get work done. Motivation is key! You have a goal, go out and get it!

Avatar f tn Hi, Your symptoms may be suggestive of chronic ill health in the form of chronic fatigue syndrome, anaemia, deficiency of vitamins etc. Also for the pain in abdomen and frequent urination you should check out with a gynaecologist for an examination. If necessary and ultrasound scan may be done. Discuss with your Doctor. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I have also been having vertigo issues for the past nine months or so. Have tried several medications such as Zyrtec D, Flonase, Nasonex, Xyzal....also nasal rinses, and some vitamins and herbs...nothing works for long. Today the doc decided to start testing me for allergies to try to get to the root of the fluid and swelling in my ears. Your results sound interesting. I have in the past from time to time has what I think are fever blisters around the corners of my mouth.
Avatar f tn re just craving a few vitamins that come in milk. Maybe calcium or vitamin d... I suggest googling what a milk/dairy craving means while pregnant. Also, babies don't get allergies to foods just because we have them.
Avatar m tn pdf and if you dont want to read it, it talks about how adrenal fatigue can play a role with allergies, and it shows you some vitamins to take that are suppose to raise your cortisol level which can stop allergies, and i have been taking 1000 mg of pantothenic acid a day, 3000 mg of licorice herb a day, and i think 260 mg of adrenal extract (bovine). so my question is if this is dangerous to your health to be taking this much a day?
Avatar m tn Considering the malabsorption I could say with confidence that you are low in some essential vitamins/nutrients/minerals. Have they looked at your B12 level (I would bet it is at least on the low end of "normal" and should not be on the low end)?
