Avatar m tn Okay so my chronic diarrhea started at the end of summer, I had been diagnosed with food allergies earlier that year. My allergies were to nuts and soy, so I continued to eat soybean oil and soy lecithin with really no problem. One day I went home and had really bad diarrhea and ever since then I have had recurring floating stools/diarrhea, although the diarrhea is not near what it was that day. I blamed soy for my allergies and I have been on and off eating soybean oil and days where I do not.
Avatar n tn I did something (some might consider suicidal) but the answers to the symptoms I am having didnt sound logical, so I ate fish, and plenty of it, and after that I didnt have any reaction what so ever for two month.
Avatar f tn I suggest writing all your symptoms down and anything you can think of. Keep a log of your symptoms and of what you eat. Take this to the specialist with you. There are diseases like IBS, Celiac Spure, Colitis, etc that can cause this. Even food allergies...so I hope you can get the help and answers you need. Maybe this will give you somewhere to start. I am sorry you don't feel well.
Avatar m tn how allergic that person is to a specific thing and how much of the allergen is ingested. Also not all allergies and intolerance shows up with diarrhea- you could also get bloating, rashes, swelling, nausea, headaches, etc. If you think you're experiencing an allergic reaction to something, don't have it again (if you know what it is).
571042 tn?1271447141 Do any of your babies have allergies to food? I don't know what to look for. I know the dramatic symptoms of airway constriction etc but I don't know any of the minor ones. Blake gets rashes occasionally from colognes from her daddy hugging her but they go away within a few minutes so I am never too concerned I just keep an eye on it. Blake does have an issue with formula. :( She has to be on soy formula because milk based formula gives her awful gas and diarrhea.
Avatar m tn a period of diarrhea (up to several hours); after this I feel very weak for several days and have difficulties concentrating. And there are some additional symptoms: slight pain in my stomach, conjunctivitis, sneezing, shortness of breath (and I feel some strange smell when I breath out). This happens in irregular periods. I've done a medical examination, they've found gall stones and nothing special but this. Ideas?
Avatar n tn In what manner do you get sick? Vomiting and/or diarrhea? Cramping and constipation? Cramping and diarrhea? Heartburn? Gas and bloating? If it's one of these symptoms, you very likely have food sensitivities and may even have true food allergies. See a naturopath for proper guidance on an elimination diet. Usually, this is all that is required if it is food sensitivities. Allergy tests do not work for food sensitivities, even though they are like hidden food allergies.
Avatar n tn Although an Allergic Reaction may be the cause, a more common synopsis of the symptoms that are produced stem from food poisoning. The symptoms can develop rapidly, within 30 minutes, or slowly, worsening over days to weeks. Most of the common contaminants cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping. Usually food poisoning is not serious, and the illness runs its course in 24-48 hours.
Avatar n tn I have an 8.5 year old Shih tzu, whom I've had for 3 years. The previous owner warned me that she had skin allergies and she has been scratching ever since. Starting 4 months ago, she was having a lot of diarrhea, sometimes with blood or mucus. It would be there for a day or two, I'd take her off food, then ease back in with rice, then chicken, then slowly adding her food. And she'd be fine for a few weeks, then sick again.
7112191 tn?1389290072 The prednazone makes him crazy(and he is already really hyper), and the antibiotics give him diarrhea. I feel so bad for him. The only time he is at peace is when he is asleep. Does anyone have any advice on what else I could do for him. It breaks my heart.
Avatar m tn I have also eaten soybean oil or lecithin some days and had no diarrhea. So does this mean my symptoms are probably not caused by food allergies. There are some days when I can be normal for a period of time and then suddenly I'll start getting loose/floating stools and then that will continue for a period. My blood tests showed negative for Celiac, but my blood tests did show I had 11% Eosinophilia.
Avatar f tn Three days later I developed severe diarrhea that has continued on a daily basis, 24/7. Six months after the diarrhea started I woke up one morning in bed and could not move. I had horrible pain throughout my entire body. My bones, muscles, and joints hurt so badly, I thought my life was over. Almost three years to the day after it started, the body pain had slowly gone away except for some shoulder pain that still remains.
Avatar f tn It lasted for about 5 days, and consisted of extreme diarrhea, gas, and nausea (no vomiting). Ever since then I have had abdominal cramps, gas, sometimes acid reflux, and have had to use the bathroom a lot more often than usual. Lactose products make me feel worse, but if I eliminate lactose from my diet the symptoms don’t completely go away. It has been two months since I originally had the stomach virus. does anyone know what could be wrong.
Avatar m tn 1. I have been diarrhea since 2015 (like two days in a week)- Doctor at that time did some tests and told me its probably lactose intolerance or allergies to certain kind of food or irritable bowel syndrome. Avoiding milk helped a little bit but I still get diarrhea regularly but not as bad as before may be. 2. I had recurrent low grade fever for 3 weeks in sep 2017. went away completely after that. 3. I had recurrent low grade fever for 4 weeks in march 2018. 4.
Avatar f tn I know that eczema and allergies can go hand in hand. I have asthma and allergies, however no food allergies. My question is, if he doesn't get any of the milk on his skin he doesn't have any apparent reactions to it. If it is only a local reaction to contact, do you still feel it is an allergy? If so, should I go ahead and put him on soy milk? (do you work in the medical field?) Thank you.
Avatar n tn The stomach pain became severe and then he began to have bright red blood in diarrhea. In October, we eliminated gluten and dairy from his diet. The diarrhea stopped and stomach pain improved. He then began to have pain after eating other foods, so one at a time we eliminated eggs, soy, nuts, beef, and pork. By February, he had severe reflux and esophagitis and was diagnosed with EoE. After a repeat endscopy, his GI doc said his eosinophil count is normal.
Avatar m tn what are the causes of 7 years chronic diarrhea without blood and small ulcers at ileum ? 4 GI specialists at 4 Denver hospitals never knew the causes of this diarrhea or ileum ulcers despite all tests like colonscopies endoscopies, stool, blood CT-SCAN ,MRI ...etc. I took medications of suspicious diseases as prescribed by my GI specialists like Crohns, intestinal TB ,others, infectious diseases but get more worse.
Avatar f tn Have you looked into your diet? Been tested for food sensitives or allergies? Allergies don't typically give you these symptoms, but sensitivities could. Have you tried a food elimination program? You can try to eliminate a bunch of things at once, and then slowly add one thing back in at a time, or you can take one thing out at a time and see if that helps if you suspect something in particular.
Avatar n tn I know this is bad because the stools (or whatever is in the water) not only is looks like diarrhea but smells just like the food I ate (i.e. tomato soup smell?) This also happens to be really hard to get rid of in the first couple of seconds because of the gas that is build up around it, meaning that it comes out with a lot of gas. Nobody has any kind of problems like this in my family.
Avatar f tn Male. One year ago I started getting acid reflux, diarrhea every day, etc. I was retested for allergies and they said all allergies were gone besides milk and tree nuts. I ended up at a gastroenterologist who diagnosed me (again) with IBS-D and prescribed XIFAXAN. I did a two week course of it, and it helped give me regular bowel movements. However as soon as I stopped taking it my symptoms returned. I took a second 2-week course and the same thing happened.
Avatar f tn abdominal cramps, congestion, nausea, either diarrhea (within 30 minutes or so) or constipation, mucus production (i can feel it), headaches, ...
Avatar m tn I went to the doctor and she said it was allergies and the drainage down the back of my throat. I have never had a sore throat last this long. Could it be gonorrhea of the throat or acute hiv symptoms? I have had some fatigue, but it seems to come from anxiety over this. She checked my lymph nodes and said they were fine. Any help would be appreciated. The strep test was negative. Could it be mono? Could it be tonsillitis? This morning, May 24, I had diarrhea and my appetite is not as good.
Avatar f tn My main symptoms have been itching all over, particularly neck and inner arms, and other soft tissue areas including my ayes, which are itchy and red at all times. Allergies, sunburn, heat bite, dermatitis, etc. have been eliminated. Could it be that these symptoms are caused by the diverticulitis, or by the gallstones? Also, is there a way to heal the gallbladder without surgery? Someone in my family had gallbladder surgery and now suffers of constant diarrhea.
1383154 tn?1279333272 First 3 symptoms are probably upper respiratory infection. Last two probably worms or coxcidia. He needs to be examined and treated.
709686 tn?1277432159 When I tell my doctor of my symptoms she quickly dismisses them as seasonal allergies. My MAJOR symptom is anxiety. It seems that after I eat something containing gluten I get mad at the world, my anxiety goes through the roof, my heart begins to pound like its coming out of my chest, the joints in my knees, ankles and feet ache and sting/burn. One of the symptoms of celiac disease is diarreah. I dont have a problem with that which is why I'm confused. What do ya think?
