Avatar f tn Anybody else suffer from clogged ears? I had some fluid in my ear drained at about 20 weeks and am 37 weeks now and all of a sudden one ear is completely clogged to where I feel deaf in one ear. Anyone have any remedies other than an ent?
Avatar n tn Hi there, my son is 10 and is experiencing clogged ears. I pull quite a bit of ear wax out after his shower and I was told I might be packing it deeper inside. I am going to take him to the doctor this week but have you tried an earwax remover? I know there are kits that will draw the wax out. My son is constantly opening his mouth as if to try and pop his ears, now its just habit for him to do it. He also said sound is muffled in his left ear.
Avatar n tn Both of my ears are feeling clogged for last 10 days.. I didn;t get sick or didn;t have a cold or congestion. Also no allergies. I had a minor fluid drain from my ear prior to my ear clog. First the cloggness was in my right ear then it passed on to my left as well. I went to an ENT and both of my ears are clean and also passed my hearing test. Also when i play music, i hear very loud vibrations which unables me to listen to music with to much bass. please help. any suggestions?
1843685 tn?1319457503 t have any pressure on my ears, but throughout the course of the day, my ears start to feel really clogged. Usually when this happens I feel sort of out of it; it's like I'm confused or disoriented. It makes me feel like a drunken fool. I have trouble remembering things, my judgement is off, and so are my motor skills. Is my situation unique or has anyone else experience similar--if not the same--symptoms?
Avatar f tn Hello~It seems to me that you could have a sinus infection. Sinus infections can cause "full" feelings behind the eyes, and the ears can sure feel very clogged. You nose can feel out of sorts too. Do you have any allergies that act up during Spring Season? It could be anxiety, but, I don't think so, and if it is, it is due to wondering what is wrong.
Avatar f tn I am sorry that you are dealing with this right now. Did the doctor suggest anything to help with this? Have you tried chewing gum? Quite often, my ears can become 'clogged' due to a viarity of reasons like from colds to allergies.
Avatar m tn My ears are currently clogged and have been for the past couple of days. I feel like it's allergy related and I am not sure how to make it go away. I am 5 weeks pregnant, so I don't want to take any drugs. Is there anything that's worked for you?
Avatar f tn so far no sign of Pre-eclampsia (yayaya) but allergies are so severe....it clogged both ears.
Avatar m tn After three visits to the ENT, where my left ear was retracted, then both, and finally just the left again - even though they have felt the same at each visit - his latest theory is TMJ. My allergy test came up negative so he crossed that off as a possibility. My question is would TMJ affect the eustachian tubes and cause my ears to pop and retract? Some symptoms do fit - my face tingles from my nose across to my ears, but I thought that was sinus or allergy related.
345124 tn?1234483278 Hi Lenny, I too have been experiencing difficulties in the NE especially when the dew point is high like today. My ears were clogged and I had major vertigo. Prior to this, I've been out walking a lot with my dog. My doc checked my ears and diagnosed me with an ear infection in both ears. It could have been that bacteria got trapped in my ears due to sweat. Well I was on 10 days of antibiotics plus ibuprofen. The clogging lessened and the vertigo dissipated.
Avatar f tn My ears feel clogged like when u go up in an elevator. This has been going on for months. Hearing checked out fine . Sounds seem extra loud. I can hear my heartbeat pulsating in my ears. And it’s very uncomfortable when I talk loud it hurts my ears.
Avatar n tn My glands are swolen, my ears feel clogged with pressure, they ring, it feels like theres always water or something in them, my head is congested, my eyes are sensitive to light and most days I feel nauseas. I've been to the doctor and Ive been through 3 antibiotics for sinus infections, bacterial infections, etc. Have taken 2 prescription nasal sprays for allergies and both prescription and over the counter medicine for allergies. Nothing seems to be working, suggestions?
Avatar m tn This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears. This can also result in infection of the ears. The blocked ears can be opened up by the valsalva maneuver, where air is blown into the cheeks against a closed nostrils, this sometimes helps to open up the tubes. Steam inhalations and warm salt water gargles can help clear the tube. Please consult your family physician. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Nasal saline irrigations over the counter like NeilMed or Neti pot are very effective, but worsen Eustachian tube dysfunction (water in the ears or feeling of fullness in the ears). The best diagnosis for this problem is a CT of the sinuses. Surgery is recommended to patients that fail maximal medical treatment. Take care. Regards.
Avatar f tn Also keep in my that if you use ear buds to listen to music or take phone calls the vibrations from the ear buds or ever BlueTooth ause the ear wax to turn to liquid thus, making your ears clogged and giving the clicking sund when you swollow. As for the Clicking in your jaw, this may be caused by a swollen gland in your neck. a CT scan can find most problems, so give that a try. But they are expensive to think it through before taking the route.
Avatar f tn This year has been the worst so far, my allergies have flared up massively as well as a horrible head cold and a double ear infection and I just cannot seem to shift this cold! Been left with bad catarrh, clogged ears and stuffy sinus'. My problems have caused nothing but tears and pain, as well as anxiety for flying! Which I have a holiday booked this year, so you can imagine my anxiety building up to the plane journey - It is making me not want to go!!
250701 tn?1320974765 I've thot it was allergies too. Ears clogged n ringing... gravely throat. I was an herbal supplement junkie. My Dr. said to take nothing. Absolutely nothing like that now. Actually made me promise. He approved a certain brand of milk thistle but made me stop it while on tx. They're just not regulated enough. I dated a guy who has worked in the health food industry for years. He's been to the manufacturing plants of all the big names, knows their quality control, etc.
Avatar f tn ve been having pressure in the area of my maxillary sinuses, and my ears feel very clogged, but there has been no pain associated with the pressure. There has also been a low-level ringing in my ears. I have looked into tinnitus, but I can't seem to find anything that combines it with pressure. I have been using a neti pot for the pressure, which seems to help for an hour or so, but then I feel the pressure in my ears again. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Avatar n tn Could it be two things going on? Some sounds like what people get with allergies. Clogged nose, red eyes, head pressure, headache. Any of that happen to you before? Do you have anxiety? Could you also have had a panic attack? What happened directly before the incident? Something stressful? Eat something? Anything that you can think of that may be related to what happened?
Avatar f tn s not her fault , I just know that the constant ringing in my ears and feeling of my ears being clogged have no real medical treatment that's going to help me . I too take Meclizine to no avail .
Avatar n tn You can't use symptoms to diagnose HIV. You will need to test.
