Avatar f tn I live in NC and work at a hospital our maternity leave allows us 6 weeks paid time off however insurance doesnt start paying you until after the first week and I only receive 60% of my regular wages during my leave. You can technically take up to 12 weeks if you wish however the weeks after the first 6 will be unpaid. You can supplement your pay with paid time off hours if you have enough available.
Avatar f tn If anybody knows of a psychiatrist in NC (preferably in the Charlotte area) they could recommend, and possibly give their opinion on my experience, I'd appreciate it. I can clarify more if needed.
Avatar f tn Has anyone found a current specialist for Chiari in the state of NC, besides Dr. Rosner who no longer practices?
Avatar f tn the following is copied and pasted from our thread on drs we use and like...... Nov 24, 2008 09:11PM To: ALL One of the Pioneers in Chiari Malformation Research and Chiari Zero..... Dr. Michael J. Rosner Fletcher, North Carolina (He is practicing until January, but the NC medical board wants to take his license away. It seems that NC doesn't want to have a true Chiari specialist in their state...or at least some of it's very arrogant NS want him to leave.
Avatar f tn It does sound like a visit to your cardio (or a new one) would be a good idea. It is important to let your doctor's office know that you have developed new symptoms. Your family history, numbness, loss of balance and near syncope episodes warrant a call to your doctor's office. If you're concerned about waiting until Monday, stop by the nearest ER and get checked out. If for nothing but peace of mind.
Avatar f tn I'm looking for a Chiari Specialist in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. I am a 49 year old female. I've been showing classic sign of Chiari for years. Am hoping someone out there knows of a doctor. All I've been able to find is pediatric specialist.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know or have been to any doctors in NC For Chiari-i malformation. I have been living with dizziness and headaches for 20 yrs.
Avatar f tn Hey I live in NC too when I went to DSS I was told that if you bring proof of your pregnancy and due date that women with child are always excepted. The only part that ***** is they have a full 45 business day to get back to you it take for ever I still have not got my letter yet. I also applied for food stamps I was awarded in February and didn't get my card until May. Even though it may take time i would give it a try.
Avatar f tn I have had a chronic cough for over 12 years..I was living in NC at the time and it just suddenly started when I was pregnant with my daughter. I'm now living back in the UK and have seen thoracic, gastric, ENT and chest specialists..I've had various types of inhalers, gastric medication, and various other medications but nothing has helped. I have had acid tests and cameras into my stomach and up through my nose but all to no avail.
Avatar n tn The both go to the best nuerologist(sp) in Wake co. NC they are both on meds and are reaching pre teen HELP The word bp has been tossed around (runs in the family) symptoms of OCD ADD ODD(defiance disorder) You name it. They did find a cyst growing in the hippa campus of the brain of my grandson and most of it was removed last December. With a personality disorder there is no absolute science. It all depends what symptoms are being presented.
1461311 tn?1285844866 ve been called back for another mamogram, due to density in my right breast. I do not have any implants, and have large breasts, and wear 38D bra. The right breast has always seemed larger than the left. I've not had any symptoms that would alarm me, making me think that there could be something wrong. Am I over reacting to my having the second mamogram? My nurse said it was based on the study from the first mamogram 4 yrs. ago.
Avatar m tn My family is so tired of hearing me complain and have even suggested that living in the west where there are hardly any allergies may be the answer for me. All I can say is hang in there...thats my plan...
