Avatar n tn They both had kennel cough not long since. They live in Wales near the mountains and often swim in the local river. Its on a dog park and once you let them off the lead their off ( believe me I tried to stop them last time I visited, its nigh on imposssible ) They are responsible owners and Im sure she will be straight at the vet tomorrow.
4522800 tn?1470325834 Does anybody get the chance to see the moose in there yard in the winter? I just had 4 differnt ones at different time yeasterday. Today while I was posting the old big male moose came back. I gave him some slice apples and he came up to my back steps. I got 3-4 feet from him. He seem to not be afraid of people. He just stood there waiting for more apples. I got some real close pictures and my hub says to send them into our daily paper.

1639856 tn?1395185607 The potty training issue is easy for the s-zu. My wife brought this s-zu in my house of labradors and I tried to treat him like i did my labradors but it never worked. I switched it with my little s-zu and put him out side to potty. When he pottied I gave him a treat right away and that cured it. Ever since I did that he has done alot better. He still has his aciedents but it's alot better.
Avatar f tn s really unlikely - it sounds like he had wonderful veterinary and pet owner care! Lyme disease typically results in chronic lameness and rarely, chronic kidney changes (mostly Labradors and Golden retrievers), and rarely causes meningitis. If it is meningitis, it's not chronic seizures - it's acute disease. it doesn't sound like it's from Lyme, honestly. I'm glad you were able to rescue him from what sounds like a terrible situation...
Avatar n tn s quite difficult to hazard a guess as to what could be causing this in your girl. There are a few breeds (labradors and dalmatians mainly) who are genetically predisposed to myoclonus but there is another form that can be caused by medication. Are the two types of medication you have mentioned the only things she is taking or has taken? Since you say she was having spasms before the CHF it's not likely that it has anything to do with the meds you are giving her for that.
Avatar n tn Most dogs with food allergies also have environmental allergies. Environmental allergies don't have to occur only from things that are outside. Dust mites, storage mites and indoor molds are high allergens also. Since allergens penetrate dogs skin it is good to bathe your dog very frequently (once per week) with medicated, hypoallergenic shampoo. Environment allergies are impossible to control. A Hepa air filter will help for indoor and outdoor allergens.
Avatar f tn I suffer from chonic allergies for years, this year it seems to be the worse ever. I get some streaks of blood when I blow my nose and also when spit. I have so much post nasal drip. The blood is just a small streak or dot fom my mouth and my nose and seems to happens after I blow my nose and the drip starts. This is not happening every day and normally only once in the morning. That I noticed i never hads this before but notam checking all the time.
Avatar f tn Off and on I notice streaks of blood in the mucus in my throat. I have allergies and always have post nasal drip. The mucus is clear, not discolored so I don't think it's an infection. I don't smoke or drink. Can allergies cause blood in your mucus? I don't have the money to go to an ENT and my reg doctor told me he doesn't know. Oh, also, when I notice the blood, I haven't had a bloody nose or picked my nose or anything.
Avatar m tn For a week, I have had tightness in my chest. It doesn't hurt, just a constant tight feeling. I have no problems breathing or swallowing. I have been having back muscle stiffness, and overall muscle tingling. For the past two months I have had major sinus drainage from allergies.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was hoping to find out if it is normal to have stringy discharge in your eyes if you have allergies. I have had seasonal allergies since I was 9, I am now 43. The junk in my eye that I can pull out which is ewww and irritating, it's there when my allergies are bad, and even when I'm not dealing with allergies, it's just a lot more when my eyes are irritated, swollen, and hurting. What can be done for a remedy.
Avatar f tn I'm 8 weeks and my allergies are killing me. I read Claritin is safe but consult your doctor during first trimester. Is there anybody who has take. Claritin with a previous pregnancy during 1st trimester or taking now?
Avatar m tn For the past 2 weeks I’ve been waking up every day with a scratchy throat, a slight cough, and an itch in my ear. I figured I just had allergies. A hot beverage would relieve it and it would be gone completely for the rest of the day. Now yesterday, I woke up with a more severe sore throat which I attributed to post nasal drip (the window fan was blowing air into my face all night; that tends to do it to me). This time the soreness persisted the whole entire day.
Avatar n tn I have 2 Labradors and the 1 is eating the others poop. What in the world would make her do this???? YUK!
620048 tn?1358018235 I do not believe that MS would cause your allergies to be any worse. I understand that if one has allergies they may get worse with age and in some cases go away altogether. This year in particular, seems to have shown an increase in people's allergies. You are not along. Where I am in Virginia, the seasons seem a little mixed up, with it being hot as the dickens when we aren't in that season or it's been cold when it should be warm. We even had some snow here in April.
Avatar m tn This may be associated with hearing loss, medication side effect, part of aging, or a symptom of other health problems, such as allergies, high or low blood pressure, tumors and problems in the heart, blood vessels, jaw and neck. If you have history of allergies, this may be the primary cause. Avoiding the allergen or trigger and taking antihistamine may be very helpful. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to an ENT for proper evaluation.
Avatar m tn Two days later I was still concerned took the condom out of the bin and tested it with water; first I saw no hole in the beginning but later after putting a lot of pressure one hole and later more holes at least 5cm's from the tip. Can I have sex with my wife now?
Avatar f tn Chest x-rays where fine. All breathing test where fine. I was sick for about 3-4 weeks. In 2005 I started to develop allergies to various fruits and veg. I also whould have on going episodes of "Asthma" flare-ups. Again Chest x-rays where fine. Dr. whould report that chould not here any wheezing. Current in the past year I have started to have allergic reactions to various vapors, perfumes ect. In the past three months they have gotten worse....more flare-ups more offen.
Avatar f tn I've never had bad allergies before. In fact I would only sneeze once in a blue moon. But for a few weeks now my eyes have been itching so bad and I would itch them to the point that I've already had two infections of my eyelid on the left side.It would swell my eyelid almost till my eye was shut. I have a pretty bad history of staph infections. Also the roof of my mouth has been itching and when it starts to itch it will get these hard lumps on one side at a time.
676912 tn?1332812551 As far as peas, be mindful of cross reactions. It is likely all peas because of cross reactions. A common allergen is tomatoes and their cousins in the nightshade family, but especially tomatoes. On any elimination diet tomatoes are forbidden while testing for sensitivities, which are like hidden food allergies. One doesn't necessarily test positive for these food sensitivities. Keep this in mind if you have had him tested for tomatoes and it tested negative.
Avatar f tn A lot of people with dysauto also have allergies, but then again a lot of people in the general population have allergies so I don't know if any statistically significant correlation has ever been found. Searching Pubmed and Google scholar right now, I don't see any articles about allergies in dysautonomia unless I'm missing something. I'm not sure if that could possibly point to MCAD/mastocytosis or not. Does anyone know if masto is ever triggered by traditional allergens?
Avatar f tn Have you checked the ingredients in your pet food? Did you know corn, wheat and soy are the three biggest culprits as far as food allergies in dogs and cats. Chewing on the paws, licking the feet, itchy, red flakey skin, dull coat, intestinal upset are common symptoms of a food allergy. I would try a Natural Super Premium pet food or an Organic pet food.
Avatar f tn Yes... I had nearly no allergies before I became pregnant. Now I can't breathe :-(... Before this I've only had allergies once in my life and that was because i spent 6hours outside in pollen. The doctor said its because our bodies are pumping more blood than usual and the increase in hormones. it can even cause nose bleeds and runny nose...
Avatar n tn Hello, I started having allergic reactions 2 years ago, I never had any since I was born (I am 27 now) the first time it happened it was when I woke up, and went for a run. and in the 2 years period I had the allergic reaction only 6 or 7 times, I did heart tests, lung tests, blood tests and everything looked normal, I even did all the tests while having an alergic reaction and all my tests went fine the only problem was the hives and swollen body (not throat) mostly hands and feet.
Avatar f tn She said I had a lot of fluid in my ears and that I had allergies and gave me a prescription for flonase and told me to take Zyrtek D twice a day. With in 45 minutes of taking the Zyrtek D, my throat didn't feel as tight. But when I took the flonase, the tightness would return. I decided not to take the flonase anymore. I continued with the Zyrtek D for 12 days. I still didn't see any great improvement, so I went back to my doctor.
Avatar f tn I still use and wear the same materials as before this incident happened, so I was wondering if this is allergies and if someone can develop allergies later on in life to things they were never allergic too? I've also had cases where my exposed legs would become completely red and itchy (like a sunburnt) even though I've only walked outside for 15 minutes with my arms exposed too (but nothing happened to them.) This redness comes very rarely though..
Avatar f tn Sorry to be so abrupt but ibuprofen, the active ingredient in motrin, is EXTREMELY toxic to dogs! Even a small dose can lead to events that will kill him. It's best to check with your vet first on dosing, but he CAN have human aspirin as long as it's either buffered or enteric coated, like Ascriptin. But don't give him any other type of human OTC pain reliever because they are just not formulated for dogs.
