You are supposed to stay away with any type of "D" medicine, but there are still prescription meds that you can have. I was told that you CANNOT have Allegra, Allegra D, or Claritin D ("D" class meds), but you can have Zyrtec. I have been taking Zyrtec daily (I am 24 weeks pregnant). Good luck ... the allergy season is bad enough without being limited to the remedies you can seek!
are their any hemostats other than a quinalone????.. currently i am taking Sylate 500 along with Allegra 120 and the antibiotic Augmentin 625... with these tabs, the mark on my face is going darker and darker... my dermatologist says that i should stop taking quinalones for the mark to go and it cannot be treated superficially....

He was admitted in the hospital for five days and was also experiencing vertigo problem for which he was given vertin and stugeron along with Eptoin, Frisium, Cefandral, Dolo, Emeset, Chymoral forte during admission. On discharge he took Amoxclav, Dolo, Allegra, Pan, Beplex C Forte for five days and Eptoin 2 tabs at night and Frisium 1 tab morning and 1 at night (one month course) which he is taking now. He still experiences giddiness in the morning and evening.
I basically am not able to go out for more than a hr or so cause this is a24-7 issue. Wakes me at night to cough out mucus. My Rheumy has put me on methtrexate 4 tabs aweek to try to help but it hasen't yet I'm very sensitive to prednisone I blow up fast hence Dr use of methotrexate first. Any suggestions on what food I can or ccannot eat to not aggrevate this would be helpful any advice appreciated.
I have recognized that sometimes - usually in the evening, that I get a bit of bronchial / upper lung congestion and coughing doesn't loosen it up - but if I remember to take the inhaler - it usually does loosen it up. I also have bad allergies for which I take Allegra D and Nasonex and I also take singulair tabs. I guess I'm just afraid of over-using the albuterol.
After going to an expert dermatoglist who again stated just take medicine to control the hives - I ended up on Allegra, Claritin and Doxepin. My hives seemed managable mostly at this point but in October 2009 I stopped all antihistmaines to have a food alllergy test just to see if anything turned up there. Nothing did but I noticed my hives really improved after stopping all the antihistamines. Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl.
After 30 mins of this test they told my initial test are showing signs of Chlamydia or some other non specific sti. Then they gave 4 tabs of azythromycin and injected me hepatitis B vaccine. Then they told that my results will come after 2 weeks. Now my symptoms include sweating in palms and lower foot. Am afraid that above found infection & symptoms will be the symptoms of Acute hiv ? Does my chances of getting Hiv is increased ?
If you cannot see a derm doc then go to your PCP and ask him/her to order you some prescription Hydroxyzine oral tabs (25-50 mg every 6 hours as needed) and some prescription topical steroids (Clobetesol or Fluocinonide ointment). For me the most important medication was/is the Hydroxyzine. It will clear the rash and stop the itching and stop the systemic effects of the allergic reaction. You have to take a high enough dose, though, or it won't clear as well.
I have tried EVERYTHING with virtually no relief… Sinus rinse several times a day Ocean Mist/Saline solutions Allegra (been taking for 5 months now) Singulair (also been taking for 5 months now) Flonase Benadryl SinusBuster Holistic Meds Hot towels/steam showers Motrin 800mg My symptoms are persistent regardless of season, time of day, indoors, outdoors, geographic location, etc. They consist mainly of a completely congested, swollen nose, itchy eyes, and an itchy nose.
I experience a lot of the various symptoms I hear about. I recently had a roof leak and developed some mold in th house. I had a mold inspector inform me that mold can cause Acid Reflux and other related symptoms. Have any of you heard this? He also indicated most doctors don't know this as mold is not a well studied problem in the medical arena.
I had acute breathing difficulty attacks few times ; once was after coffee, another was after gym, prednisolone tabs (10mg one shot) & latest one with no apparent reason (morning when i arrive at office). Other than that, i still feel it is bearable.. Been to ENT, he did a scope for my nose, and said cud be due to nasal drip initially (Nov 2010), but he doesnt think that it would cause me such a problem for long term until now.. Therefore, he suspected asthma.
I avoided the REALLY bad sinus problems by taking Allegra (fexofanadine). I already take it in the summer for allergies so when I quit CT in January. I just took some to deal with my sinuses. Worked great. Claratin would probably help. Or try benadryl and feel better but groggy. There are lots of ways to go after sinus problems.... Unless you're really looking for an excuse to get back on opiats. Sorry but I gotta say it.
Benedryl doesn't touch it, Allegra slows it down and Zyrtec had been preventing it until I came down with the flu last week and my resistance to such things was lowered. My upper lip is swollen today; I've taken a megadose of Allegra (360 mg) which may have slowed down the swelling (hard to know for sure). I'm weighing whether or not to go the epipen route and will decide later today depending on how much worse it gets.
And now I'm going through it again. This time it started in May. I sought the help of an allergist who put me on Zantac 150mg BID, Allegra 180mg BID, Zyrtec 10mg QD and a course of prednisone. Prednisone is the only drug that works but the Allergist doesn't want me to take this everyday (for obvious reasons). I saw him last week to talk to him about other alternative drugs because nothing is working. He put me on Xyzal.
i saw gave me allegra which you are supposed to take once a day, it relieved the iching for the day. so i had another dr had me try Chlor-Trimeton which i found i did not have to take once a day.. maybe every 3 to 4 days.. if i did not have the Chlor-Trimeton i would scratch my skin so badly it would bleed. and leave nice little round wholes in my skin that would take a long time to heal.. "Work it course" huh!!! If the Chlor-Trimeton stopped working i would just die..
Switched to claritin and I don't think it had any effect...currently trying Allegra. Had bad head pressure with migraine the other day so took it and it cleared up the migraine so not sure the relationship. Need to start taking it everyday again. I do not get results from big facilities so you aren't missing anything here at my location.
i recently began to break out in hives nightly when i evaluated all of my foods i thought i was allergic to fish/shellfish eliminated those and finally realized that I was allergic to the blue dye in my thyroid medication levoxyl i changed meds and my m.d. put me on allegra and i haven't had hives since check the labels on all of your medications and food to see if food dyes are a possible culprit.
Shortly after i also noticed that i had slight swelling in my upper lip. I took some advil and allergy tabs and went to sleep. Once again i awoke the next morning with all of my upper lip very swollen and large red itchy bumps on my neck, scalp, forearms, waist and knees. I finally went to the doctor considering i could hardly talk, therefore unable to work. The doctor gave me a steroid injection called Kenalog and said the swelling should go away within 24 hours.
As I said, I've been hive-free for three years, until last week. My allergist said I should take a Zyrtec at night and an Allegra in the morning. Thus far, they've done little, if anything at all, to mitigate my symptoms. This time around it seems like I'm getting more angioedema (disfiguring facial swelling) reactions as well; for the last two days, I've woken up w/ swelling in either my lips or eyes or both. So, understandably, I'm a little concerned.
Anyhow, urgent care prescribed me another round of antibiotics, allegra, and prednisone. I followed up with my pcp who added singulair. I still have the tickle and hacking cough episode along with deprivation of oxygen. I'm scheduled to see a pulmonologist this Friday. The only diagnosis that relates to these symptoms is whooping cough. According to my research it's resurfacing. They say that the vaccination can wear off around age elven.
I don't know what to do now. I have tried nose spray (regular AND steroidal), sudafed, allegra, benedryl (not all at once) ear drops, alcohol in my ear, pretty much everything mentioned on the internet. My ear either plugs and I hear the swooshing, or it is constantly popping everytime I swallow.
Corticosteroid creams or ointments relieve itchiness and halt the spread of rashes: a moderate steroid such as ℞ Fluocinonide Ointment or a very potent topical such as ℞ Clobetasol.
I have 10 mg Prednisone tabs with me but the directions are to take 40 mg for angioedema and gradually decrease dosage. I know that if I take this dosage I will be up all night but am really uncertain about how much I should take. Using Aveeno to sooth the welts with minimal effect. I empathize with anyone going through this experience. Any suggestions appreciated. Am thinking of thinking an immunologist since the allergist was absolutely no health.
So my doc started me on 5000 iu softgel tabs per day after the first day i started to feel really good. I thought that i was on to something because i haven't felt so good in a looong time. Then bang on the third day into my vit d therapy i was hit with heart palpitations, fatigue, fast heart hate, high blood pressure, tight chest, thirst, panic and frequent urination. Has anyone had these symptoms and has anyone fixed them by slowly building your dose up over time ?????
I had these symptoms years ago, dizziness driving above 35-40 mph, not being able to look away and back. No problem as a passenger. I had been taking Allegra tabs for years for hayfever. I discontinued the med and switched to Flonase spray. The problem went away. It seemed I had built up an intolerance over the years.
I have tried singulair, allegra, zyrtec (which actually I think zyrtec makes it worse) dioxapan (an anti-depressent that is supposed to be a stronger anti-histamine. Nothing works!! She also gave me prednisone for 5 days and let me tell you, I was a new person for 2 weeks! Not a single day w/o hives, I was happy, I wasn't depressed anymore, I could go about my daily activities. But b/c it is a steriod my allergist won't prescribe it to me again.
above I realize that I had a down comforter for years and finally threw it away shortly before the problem stopped. I always take allegra for general allergies which I think helps but back to my point. Two months ago I started using a new down blanket and pillow but I also started a new exercise routine and I started taking new vitamin pills.
